How are you getting "Joker is acting out of character and being a coward" Out of "Meet up at the Rendezvous point"?
Joker wouldn't ever abandon Shepard. No matter if it meant risking the ship, crew, or himself. Joker would stay if not try to pick up Shepard. He wouldn't get an order to run, say "Yes sir." and fly off unless Shepard ordered him to. Now if that happens in the DLC, cool but by that screenshot we get order to run and in the already made ending Joker runs. That's also why I said I will wait to make my final opinion until I play/see it. But by that one screen it's not looking like this ending is going to make (most) people happy.
But what about the ending of Mass Effect 2 where Shepard dies? He just falls from the Normandy and Joker ABANDONS him!?!?

*eye roll*

I don't think this can be interpreted as Joker "Abandoning" Shepard. There are far too many unknowns to be making conjectures like that.

Oh, you mean where Shepard TELLS Joker to run? I said the only person that could have Joker leave Shepard behind is Shepard. Also, I said I haven't made up my mind on it yet (because we don't know the entirety of the scene) but with what knowledge we have it isn't looking good.

I think people are reading in the whole "Joker is ABANDONING Shepard" part. At the start of the assault, Joker drops off Shepard and leaves to rejoin SWORD. Was that "ABANDONING" Shepard? No.

All you have in that picture is one line of dialogue. That's it. There isn't anything to imply that Joker has any reason to believe that Shepard is in any kind of danger or hell, if Joker even knows where Shepard is at that point. So to say that Joker is 'Abandoning' Shepard is pure conjecture on the part of the posters.
Oh I agree it's definitly conjecture at it's finest :)
But it's fun to see people's speculations and counter arguments and see how it matches up to the real thing in the end.
Best explanation i found so far, on this thread I think is Sheperd actually manages to call Joker back and orders him to leave for x reason.
Still waiting for a good explanation on teleporting team mates though.

Well lets see what biowEAre have done. Personally as a writer myself I found the ending to be badly written.
It's a weak Deus Ex Machina; something that you come up with in a drunken stupor.
The concept could have worked if they had added a bit more variety and some actual storytelling. If they would have put in a little effort and did more than just change the color of the explosion.

So I hope that is what these 1.9 gigs contain.

I'm a little hopeful but for the rest a cold hearted skeptical

First spoiler is out. Shitstorm has already begun

okay well that crushed what little hopes down of what I had for the Extended Cut down to a pebble stone.

still I hope the internet gets angry at bioware at even a 5th the amount they did with the original ending because last time was so hilarious.

And this should turn that stone into sand

I have an usettling feeling that the sand will be sucked into my vacuum cleaner along with a broken Mass effect 3 disc

for more clarification here's the said image.

And why the hell does Hackett want Joker to leave the Sol system?
We'll just to find out when EC comes out.

(capcha: kiss me) Bioware better not screw this up or they can kiss my ass.

No way man, Joker is so loyal to Shepard that he wouldn't even abandon Shepard for Shepard! Wait. Where were we going with this?

My point is that I think the community (As usually) is running around like a panicky, bunch of pillocks without stopping to even think. Let the damn DLC come out before starting the inevitable QQ at the very least.

Yeah, THAT one is going to take some fixing.

Iterations that require separate games to see?? Milk the franchise? Yes please, EA! And there it is, but it doesn't matter to me why the ending is what it is. It still harvests organic civilizations.

What a cop out. Goes to show - if geeks cry hard enough, companies like Bioware will bend over and take it sans lube.

My only question is: Will I have to grind multiplayer for assets to get the best ending again? I mean, not that the multiplayer is terrible, it's just so.... grindy. That and the idea that I won't be able to get the best ending a couple years down the road because no one's gonna play the multiplayer anymore makes me kinda angry already.

Nah, too late. EA wanted to axe mass effect as a franchise with the original ending so let them reap their rewards for it. EA has no more franchises to care about, the company is a joke.

I wasn't overly disappointed with the ending in ME3, so unless I still don't get to see what happened to my squad maates as well as more epic space battle scenes, it'll be nothing but an improvement to me.

All I'm hoping for is that the explain things a bit more, add an epilogue, and plug the plot holes. Looks like I'll be getting that. Call it cautious optimism.

I honestly care very little for this. In fact I'll just end up watching it on youtube, cba to finish that final mission again.

A case of 'damned if they do, damned if they don't'. I'm looking forward to seeing what is being offered, but there will still be lots of rage on the forums.

It will never be enough for some.

Personally, I didn't have an issue with the various endings, aside from the infamous Normandy scene and it coming out of nowhere.
tbh it wont be enough because its still the same ending with a little but extra, maybe its enough to explain it to be good but i doubt it

So, are we actually getting closure or is it going to be some sort of End of Evangelion thing?
