Mass Effect Movie in the Works

Why won't people just catch on that movies based on videogames never, NEVER work.
If this stands any chance of being more then a horrible adaptation then it should have nothing to do with the games and as little CGI creatures and sets as possible.

hmm the only way they can make this movie whitout pissing of the fans. Would be a prequel to the first game about Capitan Anderson and maybe when

he was tried out too be a spectre but Saren said nope.(okay it was a bit more into it then that)

. And then end whit a teaser of Capitan Anderson and that ambassador guy talking about recruiting Shepard as a spectre (AKA the very first scene of Mass Effect).

Yes! Seconded (thirded, however many people agree).

You can't just have some sort of serious 'look alike', and if anyone can pull it off it's Nathan. It's the whole attitude that goes with it.

In reality though I hold no expectations for any movie that comes from a game.

Fantastic news. As if Mass Effect 2 being a pile of dumbed down garbage wasnt enough to contend with, its very likely a shitty movie will take a dump on the series.

Why oh why Bioware? You had me hooked with ME1, and then you took a shit on this series?

At this point I cant imagine ME3 being anything but a huge disappointment as well unless Bioware actually listens to criticism of ME2 and changes ME3 as much as they did with the transfer from ME1 to ME2.

while i would like them to look similar i would also like to see him well portrayed by a skilled/talented actor...granted being shepard, more or less the strong silent type, wouldn't really require too much acting prowess XD

This is a very good list. Why is the Illusive Man a woman? If we're going to go that route, just go all the way and cast Ellen Degeneres.

But seriously folks, the movie is not going to be about Shepard. If this ever gets off the ground, I would bet any amount of money that it's going to be about humanity but not intersect with the video game plot.
