o_O how long did it take you to figure out that anagram? I'm being genuine...what the deuce?
Some people have a natural gift for sussing out anagrams.

I am not one such person, sadly. My mother is though.
My only thought on that is:

That kind of talent would be sweet!

Hoax? I'd like to call to attention every single bible game that AVGN has ever reviewed. Yeah.

The rosary is used as a strap to keep the cross from flying out of there hands. Holy shit! You could swing and hit the person next to you if you swing that incense to much! lol

If it was real they be able to announce what system it was for or shown something related to a console for it to work on the tv. Even the games that are a system for one game have some sign of how to connect to the tv.

This has GOT to be a hoax. And I thought the fight for faith was bad enough. I mean When you think about it, nOW adays there's probably over 800 video games based off religion, made to serve as cannon fodder in the many POSTS on gaming blogs nowadays.

Anyone get that?

This is the Churchs last, desperate move to keep up with the times. Then they begin the brainwashing and fight a holy war with Islam, destroying both and much of civilization as we know it.
And I'm looking for the negative side to this...

I guess this gives a whole new meaning to the name Mass Effect.
This is the first thing I thought of!
Maybe this game also has long, awkward elevator rides.

maybe its an clever joke on the fact that the bible just got released on the 360, but judging from the video and the site it looks just about as good as any other wii game.
The what got released on the what? When? How? Why?!

And directed to half the other people on this thread? WTF is wrong with you? I don't give a toss what other people believe in (within reason), why the hell should you care about what I believe in... semi-believe in... am having a lapse of faith right now but...

If nothing else this is completley fake just on the grounds of them saying thier are add-ons/DLC/expansions on a "Wii" no disc game to date has had such treatment so why now? Not to mention a Wii balance board seems like it would have been a better fit than the mini bench thing but if they didm't mention those I wouldn't be certain if it was fake or not.

Somewhere on Destructoid amidst Jim Sterling's terrible writing and general trolling of their whole community, this was reported on as being a clever hoax. I had a good laugh.

The elevator to heaven is broken, so you'll have to take the stairs.

There's no copyright on the website.

Also, it's the 20th and I can't click the pre-order button.

Fake.

As a Christian (albeit not a deeply spiritual one) I am capable of having a sense of humor about my own faith, so I don't really mind if it's a joke.

I will say however that despite not being a church goer, most of those that I know who DO go to church don't take attending Church or Sunday School as being a highlight of their entire week. Or at least not the praying and ritual aspects of it (Church festivals and activities can be something else entirely). As such I can't see a demand for such a product. What's more it referances "Mass" which is more or less exclusive to Catholics and honestly I figure that if someone was going to promote such a product to begin with, they would want it to be relatively generic in it's approach to christianity so as to bring in protestants and such as well.

On the other hand a lot of Christian-Themed "entertainment products" have really been that out of touch, and seemed to fail even with the Christian community. They made a Christian Themed RPG (pnp) once, and of course there was the bible adventures cartridge (which you can find a review of on Seanbaby's site which is pretty funny).

As far as the protesters go, well that's old school promotionism (they even did a movie called "Matinee" which touched on the subject of that type of promotion, albeit for B-science fiction movies).

As far as Dante's Infero goes, I'm interested in the game, and their promotions have been interesting/amusing but I think they have perhaps gotten us a wee too paranoid in assuming EA is responsible for everything.... time will tell. I am not sure how they could really tie this one in with Dante's inferno.

I thought this sounded a bit like a sarcastic gamer piece, but I'm guessing it isn't. It doesn't convince quite as readily as said groups Wii Fit ad did anyway....

The makers of this are clearly a-holes with no respect to christens.

A joke? I couldn't even crack a smile.
