As a Christian (albeit not a deeply spiritual one) I am capable of having a sense of humor about my own faith, so I don't really mind if it's a joke.
I will say however that despite not being a church goer, most of those that I know who DO go to church don't take attending Church or Sunday School as being a highlight of their entire week. Or at least not the praying and ritual aspects of it (Church festivals and activities can be something else entirely). As such I can't see a demand for such a product. What's more it referances "Mass" which is more or less exclusive to Catholics and honestly I figure that if someone was going to promote such a product to begin with, they would want it to be relatively generic in it's approach to christianity so as to bring in protestants and such as well.
On the other hand a lot of Christian-Themed "entertainment products" have really been that out of touch, and seemed to fail even with the Christian community. They made a Christian Themed RPG (pnp) once, and of course there was the bible adventures cartridge (which you can find a review of on Seanbaby's site which is pretty funny).
As far as the protesters go, well that's old school promotionism (they even did a movie called "Matinee" which touched on the subject of that type of promotion, albeit for B-science fiction movies).
As far as Dante's Infero goes, I'm interested in the game, and their promotions have been interesting/amusing but I think they have perhaps gotten us a wee too paranoid in assuming EA is responsible for everything.... time will tell. I am not sure how they could really tie this one in with Dante's inferno.
