I'm so damn sick of the moral panic in this country. You know what I remembered most about 2nd grade? Being left out of lunch room conversations because I didn't know who Jason Vorhees was. Kids aren't innocent by any means.

you know... this reminds me a line from an episode of Adventure Time... it's the one with the businessmen trapped in a small iceburg... and Jake was finding baby shoes in ice burgs... all leftys... and that line is "WHAT THE HECK MAN?!"

The Happy Meal promotion also features a Spider-Man figure that terrifyingly sticks to walls with suction cups...
Actually, no, the Spider-Man action figure has magnets in his hands (which are splayed out a little to resemble webs), not suction cups. It's totally not on my fridge right now...*shifty eye, shifty eye*

And yet other companies sell realistic action figures of wrestlers that, week after week, slam each other to the ground, hit each other with folding chairs, and many other very repeatable stunts.

Guess it's OK when they make $12 a pop.

I guess I can see the connection in it what with the recent and future marvel movies but I don't see an inpending doom in it. Though I thing everyone should protest how that iron man toy slides on his crotch.

I come at this from the opposite angle, how dare mcdonalds give something so awesome to kids with their disgusting food, the toys are too cool to be linked with that putrid offal

Wtf? I played with toy guns and played with action figures acting like they were killing each other in very elaborate ways and I turned out alright. I sure as hell wouldn't have been like "Its clobberin time? ALRIGHT!!!" then punch the neighbor kid in the face lol.

Oh... my head.

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me! Are people so hard-up for a cause these days? This really reeks of some jackhole thinking "Hey, here is something we can attack, and given that it involves a commercially property that's very viable right now, it might get our little band 'o nuts and retards some attention!"

The CCFC seems to think that the toys will get children addicted to "violent PG-13" movies.

What I don't get is that these characters more closely resemble those of the comic books, also there are no superhero movies in theaters right now so I hardly see them becoming "addicted".

How'd you like to actually live with these misfits?

These conservatives, and possible Bible Thumpers, should be drug out into the woods and disemboweled with wooden cooking spoons. I hate these motherfuckers that make it their responsibility to parent other peoples' children. It'd be more productive simply saying "HEY! You all fail as parents and THAT'S WHY little Timmy's a fucking asshole!" Because it is the parents fault that their kids get fucked up.

Today's young parents don't want to actually take responsibility for their kids' actions. They blame something else. They blame the industry or company in question, they write bullshit complaints that result in redundant warning labels being added to products... like it wasn't that fucking obvious in the first place that swallowing a tiny jagged plastic accessory could cause you to choke. WATCH YOUR FUCKING KIDS!

If you didn't want to deal with it, you should have kept your legs closed.

This really has nothing to do with McDonald's or Marvel. They're scapegoats for these professional diaper sniffers that need to champion some bullshit cause to feel important instead of getting real careers.

I remember once getting a bloodthirsty T Rex in a happy meal, whereupon I was obviously incited to run around eating people, trashing electric fences and overturning cars.
Not to mention the rest of the horrifying Toy Story 2 cast, who dared me to try crossing a road under a traffic cone.

Wait, what? Now superheroes are considered inappropriate for children? SUPERHEROES?!

These guys might disagree with the CCFC. I suggest that this group listen to them.
Bro, everyone knows the CCFC is run by Rita Repulsa.

This is why we need super heroes in the real world...Oh wait we can't because it would teach children to be violent!!!

-_-

[rant]Seriously, the more times people say "Think of the children!" the more I just want to shout "HOW ABOUT LET CHILDREN THINK FOR ONCE?!". Honestly, the more you push, the push will come to a returned shove. Raising a generation like this is going to have some serios reprecussions. How are they going to run a buisness if you feint and hide them in a bomb shelter if you so much as see a number? How will they cure a fatal illness in the future if you don't let them learn about medicine? How can they enforce the law if you don't let them know it or give them examples of people breaking the law? These groups claim that they know best for the children. I know kids who could run a global economy better than they could run a pawn shop.

Yes, we all know that Jump Start Toddlers will teach kids that bombs are a form of art. Now, Jason from [insert stupid acronym here], go back to your cubicle and close the welded steel door. Don't forget to lower your little roof and put on your titanium helmet. Those evil "bed buggies" can bite![/rant]

Sum up: This is bullshit. Can I have intelligent people in power again..please?

:O I cannot believe McDonald's would do such a thing! How could they, they might as well be giving away serial killers in a box!

[/retard]

Next they're going to be protesting them giving away mickey mouse toys in happy meals.

But I can see their point in that their point is they are irresponsible retards that blame everything else except their parenting skills on their screwed up children. Fox News is going to support this I bet.

I saw a thread that said "What actually gives you hope in humanity", I now see that there is no hope for humanity if these retards are allowed to breed.

Just lock your child up in your basement until his is 18 and save yourself the trouble of protesting

Next story: Studies by researchers (hobos with a clipboard) show that Sesame Street promotes children to kill!

Haha, that made me laugh XD

OT: I can't believe it has come to this, they are toys, kids play with them, everyone knows this and now these dickwads want to spoil a child's fun?

I think McDonald's should do "clobbering time" more often, i like the sound of it =D And i would love for them to do this more often just to piss the CCFC off =P
does ccfc = westboro baptist church now?

i mean seriously..toys are plastic that are meant to be used with a childs imagination for FUN, they are quite durable (usually) and can survive quite a few battles (mine did at least)

i feel so sorry if this is any kind of futur for any children out there...that is so sad.
