Bloody Minecraft is gonna become like World of Warcraft soon enough.

Only this time people will be so addicted to it they'll deprive themselves of sleep and food.

I never really saw the use for the Hell World. Sure, fast travel and the such, but who actually goes that far away from their house? And do we need to set up 2 different portals for quick travel?

Too late. I went to play for an hour one night and found myself still playing at 5 AM. Passage of time was completely lost on me.

I never really saw the use for the Hell World. Sure, fast travel and the such, but who actually goes that far away from their house?

I do. I play Minecraft for cave exploration first and building neat stuff second, so I've ranged fairly far in the last month. Current dig site is about a three minute walk from my spawnpoint.

Yup. You'd only need the one to explore Hell a bit, though. But if you want to come out somewhere other than where you came in....

I did like the rumor that all torches that are placed before the update, will become lanterns, so I better get out there and start placing torches everywhere I can before the update.

Thanks, that's good to know. Though it isn't like I need to fear the darkness, because I just like to play in Peaceful mode, but I still like working in the light, I'm still paranoid in darkness even though I know no baddies will spawn. I personally don't like having to watch my surroundings every 2 seconds to make sure I'm not going to get my ass handed to me. I'm not into survival horror, ya they are just strange pixelated things, but they still scared the hell out of me when I was trying to play in Easy and Normal mode. I definitely wouldn't have the time I need to build my castle on the water.

If Notch removed Peaceful mode from the game, I would stop playing.

Now I am off to create as many torches as I can, so that I can light my territory up so bright it will look like day time.

I dont see me using it for travel much. when i play i will set up something in one area, and if i do go anywhere else, i just enjoy the trip. I'm defintly interested in this "biomes" thing, and Hell sounds like an interesting addition.

Ghasts need a space of 5x5x5 to spawn. They will rarely spawn near portals in the normal world. Beware!

- The fires in the hell region won't die out naturally.

I'll stick to my dwarf fortress with it's already implemented biomes and angry drunk midgets. And if you want a flying hell spider to shoot fireballs at you you have to work for it.
