In prison due to impatience (well, attempted armed robbery, but you know what I mean). I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it quite funny.

What the fuck is it with Modern Warfare 3 and people comitting all sorts of crimes to get it? Is it really that important?! I mean, I understand that it's a hotly anticipated game and whatnot, but this is....retarded. I'm looking forward to Skyrim a lot but that doesn't mean I'd steal a truck/steal an early copy/mug someone...

First of all... Don't mess with Freeman... Morales was lucky that freeman didn't remember to bring his crowbar that night... (Dud... his name Adam(Jensen), (Gordan) Freemen... scary... I wouldn't mess with him...)

Second... Why rob MW3? I'd understand if this happened to Skyrim... GoW3, or even Batman Archam City.... but this mundane title? why?

Third Robbery of MW3 this week?! already? REALLY? this game is worth dying/risking/crime over? or it's just that the people who want this game badly are thugs/fools/D*&^heads? this looks very bad for gaming community as a whole... some people would be soooooo happy to see these, and will probably hop all over for this... like Jackky, and Glen Beck... players all over the world... prepare for another few months of game-hating-bash comming for all of us...

It's all the Monster Energy Drinks and Mountain Dew that mess with your Head on Game Day!!! While i was shopping last night at walmart, all Energy Drinks were gone! I walked over to Gamestop and say the trashcans packed full of them from the Midnight launch. I then went to bed knowing that this will be me on Friday when I am playing Skyrim all Weekend!

And people wonder why the CoD fanbase gets a bad rep.

For every sensible gamer out there who'll get his shooty fix in a responsible manner, it seems like there's dozens of angsty preteens or obsessed fans who would actually resort to stuff like that.

I swear, one of these days, gaming's going to earn its John Lennon. Someone influential or famous is going to die because of some obsessed twat's cracked mind, and we'll all pay the price for it. Especially us, the sensible types.

inb4 people say how stupid the thief is for trying to steal MW3 and not some other game.
And the guys in France, that stole a couple of truckloads of the same game...?

Didn't something like this occur back when 360s were just coming out? Or was that PS3? Some people can't be bothered to pay for things instead they rather steal it at gun point and go to jail for it.

Okay, you're not getting what I'm saying. Fuck the game. I would risk it because I don't think it's cool that someone thinks they can come up and just take what someone else worked hard to pay for. Those people deserve to be scared shitless if not shot outright.
I couldn't agree more. I get tired of the prevailing message that you should always comply with people threatening you in order to try and preserve your life.

I'd much rather take the risk of being injured/killed than just let some asshole walk all over me. I'm not going to care if I'm dead, am I?

Okay guys, I'm not trying to defend Call of Duty or anything. I'd be one of the first to admit that anything after CoD4 is garbage. I just want everyone that is pinning this on the CoD fanbase to perform a simple exercise: Reread the article and replace every reference of Modern Warfare 3 with Skyrim.

Does Skyrim make people want to kill other people to obtain it? Would you associate people that stole a truckload of Skyrim copies with the Elder Scrolls fanbase? No? Then don't do the same with Call of Duty.

The game, as well as its general fanbase, is not the cause of this. These people shouldn't be associated with the rest of the CoD fanbase. These are isolated cases of nutjobs. A few people out of millions of CoD fans.

It's not CoD or its fanbase that's the problem at all. It's the nature of these idiots that's the problem.

Even with this sort of community, people still think it's weird i don't play CoD...

They're gamer psychos! I can't think of any other sort of gamer that would either kill for, or get killed for their favorite game.

At least this guy realized the stupidity afterwards, i could buy his story if he said the shock of human ridiculousness was what clouded his mind so he couldn't think straight and acted in the heat of the moment.
Pretty much this. I can't stand this series and stuff like that The Pro video reassures me.

Now if he just downloaded this on Steam, this entire problem would have been avoided.

Okay, this had me in stitches. The robber is not only too lazy to wait in line, but he went back to the same shop after that failed?
And the victim chose to risk his life over a game? That's even worse xD
