Also, pause at :30... Why do soldiers in France have U.S. flags on their uniforms? I would think the government would be busy defending attacks on their own soil, I'm pretty sure the french are capable of defending themselves, if not even driving the Russians back. I know the whole stereotype of the "Cheese Eating Surrender monkeys" but will we really not be able to play as the french while in their own country?

Don't you know? Only America can win wars in Europe! You wouldn't be able to connect in any way at all if you weren't playing an American soldier fighting for america!

So how long will this campaign be? Four hours? Three and a half? Is it going to be like MW2, with absolutely no pacing, and random jumps all across the world which ultimately have no bearing on the story save for some tangential references?

It's Makarov, standard James Bond Russian supervillain who graduated from the stereotype academy with flying colors. Basically he is Russian Bin Laden.

Hmm... idk, I think I got tired of this series after MW2. I much prefer the Infinity Ward games in the CoD series. I didn't even think about picking up Black Ops for one second. But the trailer does look good...

It's like the various Call of Duty studios are in competition with all the other Call of Duty studios as to who can make the most ridiculously over-the-top sequel.

The next non-MW COD game is going to have everybody armed with mini-nukes at all times.

I see another Spectre gunship section - in an urban section this time. If they can render all the buildings that are likely to come down that would be brilliant.

There's another MW2-finale-esque boat chase towards the end as well.

I think I trust this latest amalgamation of studios to pull this off properly, having seen that. Just so long as they do England properly!

It would explain the rumours that the "big thing" in 3 is going to be destructo-scenery.

EDIT: Looks just the same as every other game in the series; doesn't look worth it. Plus, I hadn't really forgive Activision for what it did to the True Crime series so I don't think I'll be buying from the publisher for quite awhile.
Maybe I'll make this one exception since I was itching for the final game in the Modern Warfare series but I doubt it would end at all.

I keep annoyingly buying COD games as everyone else has them, but this time looking at the whole 'teh entire world vs russia' I know this time I'm just not going to bother. Hopefully MW3 will prove me wrong and will be a good game but I can't see it being anything other than a bad game.

EDIT: Seriously, with all these modern combat games coming out I really am missing world war 2. I didn't think i'd ever say that, but I am.

I won't lie when I say this is going to be the biggest hit this year.

From watching the trailer it looks like we'll be seeing the conflict from both sides instead of just being good against bad. That's going to be interesting.

While I like the apocalyptic environments, it just feels like the game's jumping the shark with a nuclear powered jet-pack. Also I know that the story will take about two to four days while all the effort is being put in the multiplayer I won't ever play.

Where do you go from WWIII? .

CoD: 2119? With mech suits and plasma guns?
