While I like the apocalyptic environments, it just feels like the game's jumping the shark with a nuclear powered jet-pack. Also I know that the story will take about two to four days while all the effort is being put in the multiplayer I won't ever play.

Where do you go from WWIII? .

Man, I really want to see how it all ends, because call of duty 4 was fun, mw2 wasn't, and now I'm torn.
I guess I'll just end up renting it.

That is exactly where I am at this point. I loved the first MW, but the seconds campaign was so lame that I didnt buy the WW2 one or BlOps.

However this question is easily answered because Skyrim comes out 5 days later and will I will certainly not care about any gritty modern war when I can kill dragons and get dragon powers.

If you like rpg's, you owe it to yourself to play the witcher 2 ^^ But if you're not an rpg fan you're unlikely be be bothered by it But ya, pick up crysis in the next steam sale for about £3-5

I love RPG's played all of Bioware's The Witcher 2 just doesn't seem to tickle my fancy, not sure why...May get The Witcher for cheap somewhere just to test the water

The witcher 1 isn't as good, you're probably just better off waiting for TW2 to be on sale

Looks like a movie that was directed by 10 Michael Bay's at once. The game seems like it's just mocking itself now.

Either way, like the rest of the series before this, I've seen it all before and I'm still not interested.

I guess the only reason I'm somewhat looking forward to Battlefield 3 is that I actually did like the series prior to it.

Actually, I loved the CoD series. CoD and CoD2 were brilliant. MW was great. MW2 was ok, if a bit strange. But if they can't be assed to follow the rules they set within their own universe, I can't be assed to not blast their series.

In MW, Russia was presented as in shambles, unable to even deal with their domestic problem of ultra-nationalists. Suddenly in MW2 out of nowhere they're powerful enough to invade the US (no to mention they invaded our capital over one incident. One. Remember a few years when we captured a few Russian spies? Did we bomb 3 of their cities in response? No.). Now in MW3, as the main enemy in MW2, they are seemingly the ones invading everyone. How? Why? I can't see the game answering these questions eloquently.

Just like it won't be able to to tackle the question of nukes with any kind of finesse. They exist in the CoD universe, one has been used. Another one was almost used, but disabled. Deterrence is a thing. It still is. It's the reason the Cold War didn't turn into WWIII.

They're just going for the bigger explosion. What better way to do that than portray WWIII, right? No matter how Michael Bay it looks, and how numbing explosion after explosion is, with little to no narrative to tie the explosions together.

We've gone from semi-realistic setting, to cheesy action movie. It's not CoD anymore, it just has CoD slapped on the front for sales.

So, let me get this straight-Russia invades the US, England, France and Germany, and even uses WMD's (chemical gas attacks) on major cities in England, France and Germany, and everybody, fucking EVERYBODY just forget that they have nuclear weapons?

How do you expect me to not notice this huge, gaping plot hole, Infinity Ward? You already blew up about 3 nukes in my face throughout the series, so what exactly is keeping every single country from using them?
Also, why did the Russians invade a foreign country based on information given to them by a terrorist, and not just a terrorist, a terrorist that just blew up one of their airports, no less?
Why does everyone seem to think that having a CIA agent in an airport massacre justifies all out war?
How come the entire network of computer and television transmission can be brought down by one fallen satellite, even though only 5% of our communications are run by satellites anyway?
What has Russia got to gain from invading the US? Fast food and crappy TV?
Why do they invade England, France and Germany? For the Lulz?

Phew, okay. My fears are allayed somewhat. I thought they were gonna use nukes, then Activision and Bethesda were going to make Fallout Warfare 4: The Search for More Money.

As for me, I rekon I'll wait for the first price drop before I get this one. I sold off every other cod I had for a measly discount on my new playstation, so I have been kind of starved of the lions share of the online community, given that most people would rather be rangers and lead the way than join my posse in read dead redemption.

Just, for the love of christ, include zombies, theater mode, and custom emblems. Those things are fun.
