The trailer shows the world's going to hell in a handcart and I want to help get it there quicker, roll on release date!

I feel I should add more, erm... Don't bother arguing with the people ranting, the absurdity of arguing on the internet aside personal experience has taught me that no matter what points you make a person who is set in their opinion won't change their minds. Like the people who believe the moon landing was faked or the whole Obama birth certificate thing. Just nod, smile and leave them to it.

I can only assume you're not a PC gamer after that statement :p The game looks like generic CoD graphics.
Oh I'm an avid PC gamer it's just when the Modern Warfare was released my PC could only just about handle it. Now I have a massively improved machine graphics are no longer an issue, I suppose I'm just basing my opinion on my previous experience

Then you need a dose of crysis, witcher 2 and battlefield 3 trailers (or even just bad company 2)! quick! :D

Admittedly, it does look quite good. But then I said that about MW2 and I didn't enjoy the campaign all that much. I liked Blops though, still not sure exactly why everyone hated it other than the fact that it was "another COD game".

Also why do I see a soldier with an American flag patch in France? I gotta think if we're getting invaded, we aren't really down for sending soldiers elsewhere, I think we've got enough problems.
Didn't you know? America is ruler of everything. They must save the day because nobody else is capable of doing so.

Okay, are we really going to be arguing about how over-the-top/non-over-the-top crazy this game's plot is? Because that would be totally balls-on-walls hilarious.

About the Boycott: You realize how childish that is right? If you don't get the Games because you don't like them, fine, but not getting a Game out of principal that you would be interested in is, quite frankly, stupid.
That's exactly why I'm not buying it, I don't like them. What's the problem with that? I already stated that I hope everyone enjoys the game they're looking forward to, it would suck if the game turned out to, well, suck. If I miss out on the second coming of Jesus with this game or something, so be it, my loss. I just choose not to support a company that grossly mistreats it's franchises, studios, and customers. If you do, that's fine, and hell, you may not even care what they do and still get the game, and that's perfectly fine.

I'm going to get the game, mainly because I'm curious over how the story will wrap itself up. As long as they don't make a cliffhanger at the end, I'll be fine.

Oh wow.

I was optimistic until now, but this looks like the exact same game in different places.

It also looks like the story just threw up it's hands and said "Fuck it!" before smashing a watermelon over it's head and running down the street naked.

However, if it continues from Black Ops, you know, making the online BETTER, then the multiplayer should be pretty good.

So Russia is attacking the U.S., Germany, France, and England at the same time?

I don't really think the Russian Bear, despite how sharp it's teeth, could stand against the Bald Eagle, the Black Eagle, the Lion, and the... Snoody Frenchman?

Also, pause at :30... Why do soldiers in France have U.S. flags on their uniforms? I would think the government would be busy defending attacks on their own soil, I'm pretty sure the french are capable of defending themselves, if not even driving the Russians back. I know the whole stereotype of the "Cheese Eating Surrender monkeys" but will we really not be able to play as the french while in their own country?
I'm not making any predictions but jumping to a conclusion that just because you saw an American character in France that there will be no French soldier campaign is a little ridiculous. Just because America is under attack doesn't mean every unit will be recalled to America. There may be a critical mission that America decides to help out with in France. Also, 0:32, 0:35, aren't American uniforms. 0:35, appears to have two soldiers with GIGN tags and one with the G36. [One of the stock standard GIGN weapons but normally only used by certain American Police.]

Oh, and why the hell is everyone thinking that it's just Russia attacking? America is not the only country with allies and if somebody was to attack America some other countries are certainly going to think about using it to get the advantage..

In fact, everyone is assuming that the standard Coalition will be there, [That is, that it will be America, England, France and Germany vs other countries.] this is probably the case but it's not necessarily there...

In any case, everyone seems to be jumping to conclusions over this trailer.. o_O;;
I shan't be buying it but that's because I refuse to buy Activision products.

So is this one actually going to have a decent single-player campaign? Or does the '3' stand for 3 hours?

If you like rpg's, you owe it to yourself to play the witcher 2 ^^ But if you're not an rpg fan you're unlikely be be bothered by it :) But ya, pick up crysis in the next steam sale for about £3-5 :D

This series has gone so far off kilter that its a parody of itself right now, just trying to shock and sensationalize itself another stupid installment to earn a quick buck.
I have to agree. All the seriousness and threat and drama just went out the window in No Russian. It felt like playing Serious Sam or Postal, and those really aren't what I call a serious approach to honoring soldiers. It just gets so ridiculous it feels like CoD parodizes CoD more than anyone else could.
To me the missions in Washington felt like I was playing C&C Red Alert 2, only in a first person perspective and somebody colored everything brown and made it less fun. If CoD was about honoring soldiers, it should show you the several hours of patrol duty and waiting in base camp, keeping the equipment clean while managing the high temperatures in combat gear with occasional mortar shellings and combat sweeps. That's what our fighting forces do, they don't run around the world in crazy locations with heartbeat sensors to fight most wanted russian terrorists all the time. If CoD was to either accept that it's just silly by now and go all out with that, Tesla Coils and attack squids and giant solar beam towers, I'd love it. Or they try to get a grip on themselves, World War III might happen, but not because of a pissed-off general of the US Army going totally crazy and inciting a war with Russia.

So I guess the Russians are fighting everybody in open warfare....yeah, that sounds highly plausible. Especially that apparently their troops are on the American continent, the European mainland and in England at the same time. Why? And how?

But I can look past obvious flaws in the story if the game is fun, and it might be. It would be cool to play as a German or French soldier (or, God forbid, a Russian *gasp*).
