Most Anticipated Games of 2011

If Dark Souls was on PC... ehh..

I would've looked forward to Battlefield 3, but I'm not sure there was more than a year since Bad Company 2. I mean... come on.

Oh, and since I recently bought and finally got to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood... I want Revelations. Since I know it's coming on PC... The multiplayer AND single player in Brotherhood are magnificent. Can't wait for more. Shame it's the last game...

Honestly, I didn't know Dark Souls was coming to the 360...I guess I just immediately associated it with the PS3 when I heard it was a successor to Demon's Souls.

Skyrim
Assassin's Creed: Revelations

No idea how Zelda made it on there when Space Marine didn't.

Because Zelda is an established videogame series beloved by many which consistently produces high quality games.
Same reason a Mario title would be on this list before Space Marine, among various other games.

That's not to say Space Marine will be inferior to any of these titles, its just not as highly anticipated.

So it's pretty much the same reasons Space Marine should be on the list given the high quality Dawn of War series? Seriously I'm pretty sure more people care about Space Marine then an elf in tights.

If you really think Dawn of War is on the same tier popularity-wise as the Legend of Zelda series then you're either a fool or... no, clearly you're a fool.

And to top it off your last little comment makes you sound like the ignorant frat boy stereotype I hear so much about. To whom anything that isn't decked out in massive armour/muscles is a threat to your fragile sexuality.

Again, not saying this is accurate as such, but you're certainly not giving anyone reason to believe otherwise.

Firstly look at the rest of this thread, quite a few other people would have liked to see Space Marine on it. Secondly I'm not all about space marines or giant muscles, actually I've always been more of a thinker, for example I own Civilization 2, 3, 4, and 5. I play every game in the Total War series. The game I've been playing most is Inindo: Way of the Ninja followed by Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy X, three RPGs I never actually beat. One of my favorite games of all time is Front Mission 3. As for my sexuality, I have and play Rumble Roses XX. Do I fit your stereotype now?

don't see the hype in Space marines but hey i only played one W40K game and that was because it was RTS not Gears of war-esk

And you'll notice my argument was never that Space Marine shouldn't be on the list.
You claimed that if Zelda was on the list, Space Marine should be too. It was a flawed comparison, and to be perfectly honest it sounded more like an insult towards Zelda games than a complaint regarding the lack of Space Marine.

So yes, Space Marine clearly belongs on the list, but that has nothing to do with the already present contents of that list.

And no, you don't fit the stereotype, but as I said, prior to now, you'd given me no reason to see you otherwise.

I agree that the list is missing Warhammer 40k Space Marine which I am looking forward too.

Well now,it seems that Escapist managed to check off a "few" games that I am anticipating this year as well.
