That i dont see many people doing the "I disagree with what you say, but I'll fight to the death for your right to say it.". They just SHOUT VERY LOUD LIKE A BARKING CHIHUAHUA and expect the "dissagreing bastard" to just shut up at once.

I guess that they expect people to just feel bad for saying an opinion (that may be based on facts) and stay submise for the rest of the converzation and win the argument because no one else DARES to talk back.

actually the .Hack and Xenosaga games did the 'carry over your save' thing to, Digital Devil Saga sorta did, you got a stat boost depending on how many of the skills you mastered for that character. though none come to mind that are 'choose your own adventure' style games, none that aren't bioware games anyway, not that i expect people to remember the last console generation :/

hmm ... I see where your going with that, but at the same time, don't think id work, by the time he finally figured all that out there was really only one choice open to him. It would need to be rewritten so he figured out he's 'freedom' much sooner then he did, though i feel the story just fine as is, if i didn't i would keep siting it as the 'best written/acted series in gaming'
But see, THIS is the reason why i think the Lok series failed to capture the essence of videogames. This was the perfect opportunity to interact with a world under the effects of predestination. You are tecnically with free will, but at the same time the world rearranges itself to make shit happen one way or another.

Think of a fully interactive world where you can kill the antagonist before you even KNEW it was but the prophesies end up being fulfilled anyway in a beliavable way. Think of how empowering would it be for the player to have total freedom to experiment what could possibly be out there that could make a permanent change and finally change destiny.

I also think it would have been a nice contrast with Kain and Raziel. Kain games would be linear and Raziel games should be more sandboxy, to ilustrate how he is the only one with Free Will.

Getting REALLLLYYYYY tired of people continuing to rib on Sonic and completely ignoring that the series has been out of it's slump for several years now and ignore that two pretty good games and one absolutely fantastic one have come out recently.
The joke has been going on for so long people don't want to let it die.
What makes it more irritating is that the slump the series experienced from about 2002 to 2008/09-ish is greatly exaggerated. Did the series have a chronic case of the main series games having questionable quality ranging from mediocre to painful? Yes. But no one outside the fandom (hell even some people in it) seems to remember that during this six to seven year time period, five perfectly good handheld titles came who's quality ranged from good (Sonic Advence 2) to great (Sonic Advance 3/Rush). Both the Advance Trilogy and the two Rush titles were masterfully crafted successors to the Genesis Era Sonic games. The Advance Trilogy is a true successor to the classic games, and for all of it's posturing, the first Sonic Advance is far more worthy of the title Sonic the Hedgehog 4 than the game that actually bears that name will ever be. The two Rush games were a wonderful breath of fresh air for the series, revamping the classic gameplay with a modern touch to create a very addicting play style that had me coming back to my DS for months.

The irony is quite thick here.

Firstly you complain about shouting arguments, yet you are the one who is loudly spamming the forum with your opinion. Then you talk about conversation and logical discussion, yet you are barely literate enough to compose a coherent sentence. It's pretty difficult to hold a "converzation" with someone who can't spell or understand basic subtext.

Was that daring enough to talk back to you?

Anyone who agrees with #1 really needs to get on Netflix and watch All-Star Superman and Superman vs. the Elite. While not perfect adaptations, they're based on two of the best comic book stories EVER, and provide a better rebuttal to old #1 than anything I can type here.

Also, between Last Rites and Return of Bruce Wayne, it's all but been established that Bruce is at least as functionally immortal and unbeatable as Clark is.

Any chance of a The Big Picture examining the popular appeal of Nicolas Cage? I'm actually very curious about what it says about the general public to like an actor who is either emotionless, or so emotional he comes off as zany and insane, and how it came about for Nicolas Cage's rise to fame/infamy.

yeah, i could see that working, so long as story isn't sacrificed cause i've yet to lay a sand box game with a truly great story, and if there was one thing TLoK could use help with its game play

Overall I like Moviebob. Hes a great speaker and his movie reviews are one of the things that keep me coming back to this site. But some things happen here that just make me cringe. I remember when the ME3 ending fiasco was sweeping the gaming community and everyone here had an opinion on it. Nothing wrong with that, this is a gaming community/news site after all, but everyone seemed to have such disdain for the people who didn't like the ending and had such a bad attitude about it. I stopped coming around the site for a good while after that happened.

It seems like lots of people don't like Bob's attitude here. I guess I can see why. I'm new to forums but this stuff seems like its sole purpose is to incite flame wars. Bob is a pretty interesting guy to listen to and his knowledge and Pop culture commentary is vast ( i never expected him to weigh in on something like my little pony). But this stuff? Its kind of a turnoff :(

So I say that while defending you and now you're getting on my ass for it? Why do I feel like I turned over two pages at once?

Ha! He just had to make a comment about easy mode.

Some games require a lot of learned skill and research (or experience) to do well (Dark Souls). I hope such games crop up once in a while. There are enough easy games and easy modes.

Ever play the Kengo games? They were punishing swordplay simulations, but once you got it, knew the timing, distance and came in with a plan, it became easy, it did not start at easy and hold your hand.

Here's my weigh in on a few of the opinions

17. It's complained about only because it's used so much, if it wasn't in near every movie it wouldn't be an issue.

5. I agree with the statement made here

3. People who say this are obviously unknowledged of western comics, most western do have a set storyline that comes to an end if you look outside of DC and Marvel, similar to how you have to look outside of Shounen Jump comics to find anything with an well timed ending or anything of quality. Both east and west have companies that would rather stick with the safe bets then make anything interesting and both have people who'd rather produce something of love over something that makes a buck.

(I'm looking at you, Bleach).
Bleach has become a joke really. I thought it started out quite well and up to the end of Soul Society Arc was amazing, then it introduced Aizen as a villain and devolved into "we have a new level of power, here's a more powerful enemy, we must get stronger, we have a new level of power."

Such a shame.

And even now with the whole quincy invasion it's being dragged along at a snails pace. I think Kubo needs an editor.

Captcha: Milk was a bad choice

Poor Timothy Dalton made only two Bond films, one of the best and one of the worst. However, George Lazenby is the most unfairly derided Bond.

"Roger Moore was the worst James Bond." Really? not Timothy Dalton... pretty sure the worst was Timothy Dalton
Timothy Dalton was the worst James Bond, I really wish those movies didn't count. The only thing worse than a Timothy Dalton James Bond movie was this hour long show that aired in the 60's that was a really shortened re-creation of Casino Royale with an American playing James Bond. It aired on one of those cheapie cable channels that runs nothing but old TV shows like The Lone Ranger and Bonanza and advertises stuff for old people.

Mnn.?? and why would you consider yourself a barking chihuahua?? you did the oposite with Bhalspawn actually. You actually argued your points. That its ok.

I was just doing an observation that i havent seen any self proclaimed American do the "argue to defend their points". They just end the converzation prematurely like a troll making a SINGLE comment that consist in nothing but "you suck for making an opinion" without going in detail.

The irony is quite thick here.

Firstly you complain about shouting arguments, yet you are the one who is loudly spamming the forum with your opinion.
An "shouting argument" is one that makes people stop talking by just insulting them very loudly rather than consider the argument at hand. For a triumphant example, see Bhallspawn comments.

Then you talk about conversation and logical discussion, yet you are barely literate enough to compose a coherent sentence.
If i fuck up, i can to do it again until the message is clear. Its called learning from your mistakes, a concept that its alien to you (and the writers of ME3 apparently)

It's pretty difficult to hold a "converzation" with someone who can't spell or understand basic subtext.
If i dont understand the "subtext" then you will have to tell me in detail. Or otherwise you are making shit up.

Was that daring enough to talk back to you?
No because i said before that i was describing people who dont like to argue and prefer to shout, and i have demostrated that i WANT to argue with actions alone here on the comments.

I dont see how that applies to me.

All bonds are great in their movies and each one of them brought something to the caracter, Connery gave bond a personality, Lazenby emotion, Moore humor, Dalton Coldness, Brosnan charm and Craig roughness.

Now some of their movies are "bad" like Diamonds are Forever, A view to a kill,Die another day and Quantum of solace, but what do you expect? the series is like 50 years old not everything in it can be top notch, some low points should be expected, even those "bad" aren't that bad they are fun and entertaining, a bit ridiculous and in some parts stupid but still entertaining.

Playing with perspective is a modern art tradition? Damn son, you should see the proportions on The Kiss, or the crazy way in which people in Ancient Egyptian friezes are somehow sideways and facing forward at the same time.

Craig's Bond is the best. Best actor to take on the role, benefitting from the best scripts. Never heard anyone say Moore was the worst all that much, though.
Moore suited the more humourous, goofy era. "Best Bond" depends on what you look for in a Bond. I always thought Dalton was the closest to the Bond in the books, even more so than Craig, so he could be the best Bond for that reason. But for enjoyability, I'll always go with Connery, just for his sheer charm, audacity, and his ridiculously incompatible contemporary views.
