then degrading the appearnce would be down to someones perception, but body mutilation is an offensive term in the modified community and like it or not it's a way of life for some people just because we aren't protected by discrimination laws doesn't mean that it's ok to insult us because of life choices we have made.BeefSteak said:Mutilation or maiming is an act or physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, usually without causing death.Wedlock49 said:modification =/= mutilation
The Max Payne film was not that bad still wish it had more to do with the thing it was based on and all.... resident evil is horrible all around.igissx said:So...its awsome...but its doing the Street Fighter approach of changing the characters looks? I must admit, it looks good, but im not holding my breath because other game movies has let me down...lets list
Street Fighter (both of them)
Dead Or Alive
Tomb Raider (the second one and on)
The 3rd resident evil (the first two was...ok)
Max Payne (The movie literally made me have...Max Payne..)
Mmmmmmm call it creative writing to reinforce the "change" in the character, I would not take offense at it unless it was pointed directly at the "modified community" and as a fat, pimply, greasy hairy lard ball I can;t complain about what people do with their looks .Wedlock49 said:then degrading the appearnce would be down to someones perception, but body mutilation is an offensive term in the modified community and like it or not it's a way of life for some people just because we aren't protected by discrimination laws doesn't mean that it's ok to insult us because of life choices we have made.BeefSteak said:Mutilation or maiming is an act or physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, usually without causing death.Wedlock49 said:modification =/= mutilation
Dude your avatar looks familiar as hell.Broken Orange said:I remember way back then, before DC vs. MortalCKombat, how they were talking about how they are going to completely change up the series for the then-next gen consoles. This must be the real change to the series. Not that I was a hardcore fan of the series, Mortal Kombat had lost it's touch, and the only reason it was popular was the gore. Best of luck for the series.
but the emphasis on the change in the character should be done through his personality not because he has implants. Seriously I think the Baraka character looks fucking badass, I just don't like the fact that their showing his modifications in a negative light, he's the bad guy not his modifications.ZippyDSMlee said:Mmmmmmm call it creative writing to reinforce the "change" in the character, I would not take offense at it unless it was pointed directly at the "modified community" and as a fat, pimply, greasy hairy lard ball I can;t complain about what people do with their looks .Wedlock49 said:then degrading the appearnce would be down to someones perception, but body mutilation is an offensive term in the modified community and like it or not it's a way of life for some people just because we aren't protected by discrimination laws doesn't mean that it's ok to insult us because of life choices we have made.BeefSteak said:Mutilation or maiming is an act or physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, usually without causing death.Wedlock49 said:modification =/= mutilation
But the uninhibited levels of gore, the brutal hard hitting fight sequences, the classically violent and memorable core characters...Zeithri said:There was just a thread about this.
And no..
It looks like crap.
That is NOT the Mortal Kombat I know..
Perhaps the self mutilating bit was more referring to the fact he has two massive blades sticking out of his forearms. I don't know of any one that is THAT commited to their body mods. However that may also be because none of the people I know are psychopathic.Wedlock49 said:SNIP
It's from Scary Movie 3 if I remember rightly, part of the parody version of the video from The Ring.anthony87 said:Dude your avatar looks familiar as hell.
What's it from?
I thought oldschool mortal kombat was about, you know, ripping off heads.Zeithri said:How about Myth? Y'know.. Are we talking about the same Mortal Kombat, here? Is there some other series in which Mortals compete in a series of matches based on Kombat of sorts?
And not.. "Realism"..
I guess I'm just oldschool, like the old dog.
