I've played 4 Bethesda games on my first gen xbox360, and haven't experienced a problem with any of them.

When do these issues start to occur? (PS3)

I'm about 30 hours in and at about 8000KB, but I've only noticed slight framerate problems.
Any idea when these problems become more apparent?

Still, hopefully this patch will come out soon.
Like...VERY soon.

Wait...You still have a First gen 360? That in of itself is a miracle.

Though to be fair to Bethesda they only produced Fallout: New Vegas so their not to blame for any...Wait you had no problems with New Vegas? Wow two miracles in one day im exhausted.

And the games industry once again makes me feel that I made the right choice in switching to PC gaming.
Huzzah! All hail the PC gaming master race!
HUZZAH! ALL HAIL~!
Change your icon to mine and join the PC gaming master race clan on the escapist!
Then we can cleanse the dirty console players!
Right Pinky but do you know what comes after that?!

VEEEEEEEEEEEE VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD!

Thats 2/2 for rpgs the witcher 2 and skyrim the PC gaming master race has regained its wings!.
With diablo3 around the corner!... oh my they are in trouble indeed.
I'm not sure I'd hold that up as a banner of PC gaming at this juncture.

Torchlight 2 fits the bill much better at this time.

Maybe a Gypsy curse from Mojang?
Bethesda is actually the ones who got Yogscast to drop the f-bomb in front of some kids, so they could collect the tears from Notch's QQing, to rid themselves of the curse.
Who was in the wrong with that whole situation between Notch and Bethesda?
I flat refuse to answer that. Any answer I give ends poorly.

So any chance they're going to patch the extremely annoying menu bugs in the PC version? It's an excellent game otherwise, but the menus are a serious pain in the ass. They don't work properly with either the mouse or the keyboard and necessitate constantly saving the game before talking to someone in case the wrong conversation option gets chosen.

Nevermind that the PC version regularly crashes to desktop and is inexplicably limited to using 2gb of memory (what in the hell, man. The recommended system requirements call for more memory than the game is even capable of utilizing), we'd better get a patch out for the console versions first!

I actually own a PC that's quite capable of running Skyrim, but got it for my Xbox anyway. Loading times, FPS and improved graphics tempted me...but there's just something special about a gamepad. And sitting in my recliner. In front on my flatscreen. I tried setting my PC up on it once, but goddamnit I need something to lean on! Tried using a plank of wood...just did not work.

Oh well. It runs smoothly enough and I can look past the bugs.

I really need to wonder, has anyone actually met someone that works on Bethesda's Q&A teams? If they do exist, and they're human beings and not chimpanzees, do they have any pride in their work? Do they actually work, or throw pencils up at the ceiling all day?

Yeah, Skyrim's a huge game. Tons, tons of variables. But you'd think after all the repeated, repeated Q&A failures they've had they'd get more people or get different people.

I've experienced some intense lag on the PS3 version, but usually I can temporarily fix the issue by just restarting. Though I have noticed that the save files have been getting ridiculously big.

It's all a matter of opinion.

I'm not experiencing any bugs, the game runs smoothly, and I'm having a great deal of fun with it.
Hell, I bought the Collector's Edition, and I feel with as good as the game is, I would have gladly shelled out that $160 for the standard edition.

Maybe, just maybe, we're not sheep and actually enjoy the game.
But that would imply not everyone feels exactly the same as you do, which is unthinkable, isn't it?

OMG I need a PC patch to fix my left and right hand casting, why are they the wrong way round? left hand on mouse 2 and right hand on mouse 1. If they don't fix this soon I am demanding a refund.

TBH i have had very few problems, shadow mapping is awful and due to my pc limitations I can't increase shadow map size without at some point causing slow down that's due to paging of texture data in and out of VRAM (I need more!!).

I am surprised to hear of technical problems regarding console users, surely fixed targets are easier to hit that moving ones. Considering the plethora of garbage pc gamers will try to run this on I would expect far more complaints from said community, but it appears to be the other way round.

Any ways don't Bethesda own iD or the other way round, I'm sure gamebyro engine will get replaced by id Rage engine if that's a good or a bad thing I don't know.

i really dont get people bagging bethesda for these 2 bugs. the 360 one is avoidable and the PS3 one that effects some people only after playing for a few hours literally takes 30 seconds to get rid of for the next few hours
Uhhh, what are you talking about? The PS3 bug permanently drops the FPS. I know, I am experiencing it.

You worded it like your solution would help everyone. Obviously, that isn't the case.

PC Gamers never miss out on a chance to claim superiority. Yes we understand that PC's are a lot more powerful than consoles, now shut up about it.
Anyway, I've been experiencing a bit of lag every so often on the Xbox version, but thats usually after a couple of hours of continious play, after I turn it off the next time I go on it, its fine.
I've never had lag, worse issue I have is a 3 level waterfall (somewhere) which should be beutiful however the texture pack doesnt kick in for the top of the waterfall so its an ugly solid light blue that sits there. Ruining my immersion!

Still love it to bits though, even though I have no fucking idea about the lore or anything behind it :D

my guess is anyone who gets more then lag is having a combo of issues. my save games were about 11mb last time i checked, and i am using 5 minute auto save. im having the exact same issue most people are having, and reset fixes that. hopefully for anyone who experiences more the patch fixes it, but you never know
No problem. Mine is at 13 MB. I get lag as soon as I load up a file. It gets worse as time goes on, in cities, and rain or snow makes the game unplayable. I've noticed the game freezing more now too. Hopefully this patch fixes it. I don't want to delete my 60+ hour first character that I'm attached to.
