Sword of the Stars II. Okay, it is a sequel and it has a publisher, but it's about as close to indie you can get without, y'know, being indie.

Dark Souls and PSO2. Hate how PSO2 has conflicting info on it's release date. Some websites say it was released 9/11, others say it's still TBA.

Both of those are mainstream in my opinion by the fact that they both are sequels and are made by big budget companies.

OT: I'm looking forward to Gemini Wars (a space rts by One Camel) and Infinity (space mmo still in production, been in production for years, and at least a year more until the alpha comes out)
Same here, waiting for Gemini Wars too, might be quite an interesting surprise :)
And Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion, quite curious if they will change anything in the core of the game, or just add some more ships (Titans).

Personally, even though I'm kinda meh on Mr. Blow's attitude sometimes, I'm very much looking forward to The Witness [http://the-witness.net/news/].

Also can't wait for some definite news on Miegakure [http://marctenbosch.com/miegakure/].

Those are about as un-mainstream as you can get, in my opinion.

The Winter Voices Episodes. I played the Prologue and enjoyed it so I am going to get the other four episodes. There is a fifth episode coming out for it this month I believe, so i'm looking forward to that aswell.
That reminds me that I still need to try out the demo for the Prologue. The whole premise of Winter Voices sounds interesting, though I've read mixed reviews about each chapter. I;'ll have to re-download the demo once i finally get internet that'll let me without me having to worry about a very low download limit...

As for me, a number that have already been mentioned, such as Hyperdimension Neptunia MkII, Atelier Totori and Disgaea 4. Also, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter. I could be waiting a while for XSEED to get that one translated though, given that as far as I'm aware, it's the only PSP game other than Final Fantasy Type-0 to have a release on two UMDs.

I will totally get that, but... doesn't it has more to do with Jamestown at any rate? I don't see any similarity with Recettear.
They're both Japanese games that got an official, translated release on Steam, thus making them available to the masses. Not that the masses would be interested in either of them, being too busy playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. And like I said, the gameplay and aesthetic choices are actually, IMHO, closest to Touhou, except drawn by someone who can draw really well: inexplicably flying girls, really good music and bullets up the [insert profane body part here].

I dunno... As indie games go, Touhou is only slightly less well-known (and therefore mainstream) than Minecraft and Braid. Not that it'll be bad, by any means. Just that I don't think it really fits in here.

Also, how the heck are you planning to get it? Because whatever your plan is, I want in on it.

Dark Souls
Cursed Crusade
Dark Souls
Batman: Arkham City(does that count?)
Dark Souls
Some other game I don't know
Dark Souls

Can you figure out what I want most? For that matter do any of these even count? I don't know the difference between a mainstream game or a non-mainstream game. I play what I want. If I'll have fun, I'll get it. If not, I won't get it.

Dark Souls really isn't considered mainstream? Well then that.
Also the new worms game, Worms Ultimate Mayhem and Hawken.

I may need to take another lap around the release list to see if there is anything else.
Although, I'm gonna be pretty occupied between Dark Souls and Innistrad.

Hawken. Really? No-one else here is interested in Hawken?! Tis a sad day for mech combat =(
Indeed, the game looks surprisingly good for an indie title. Having a game be 'moody' gets 0 points in my book (lookin at you Limbo/Braid/???).

Does Zelda count? It's a really popular game, but it's not mainstream. Most 'gamer' have never played a Zelda game, but they don't want to admit that.

Oh yeah, and another thing: Cave Story on the 3DS. Sure, Cave Story is probably the third-most mainstream indie game in existence, behind only Braid and Touhou Project, but it's still going to get drowned out by Modern Warfare 3, Skyrim, Skyward Sword and Mario Land 3D.

SKYRIM

YEAH THAT'S TOTALLY NOT MAINSTREAM

Sorry for the caps, I was trying to make my troll terribly obvious.

Anyway, I think that Johnathan Blow (or whatever his name is) is making a new game. Braid was cool, I'm looking forward to whatever he makes next.
