I remember this really old game, 2000s* (the place I played it at also had Neverwinter nights, if it helps).
Anyway, the game is the standard RPG with character creation: race, class, sex... It begins with your character on a recently destroyed farm, with a house in flames behind you and a few goblins attacking you. On one of the corners it had a little belt with three icons, which you used to change to your presets. The inventory was huge, with a lot of equipment slots. Spells were "equipped" from a scroll into one of the slots too, also any armor you wore looked exacly the same way on your character model (a robe was a robe, vest was a vest...).
Apart from that, all that I remember is that it was Isometric (like Diablo 2) with pretty neat graphics. And it was hard (or I sucked, well... Probably the latter).
Anyway, thanks if anyone knows what game that is
Just one character or a whole party, as in Icewind Dale 2?

I've been raking my brain to remember this game. I can only remember watching my buddy play it and one scene sticks in my memory. He had a bunch of villagers or something you could give commands too and he had them chop down some trees to make bows and then he attacked an enemy group. When yours or the enemy died a little spirit or something would float up.

Okay so my memory of this computer game is incredibly vague. The only part of the protagonist you could see was a floating grey glove. It was a puzzle solver-type game. One of the levels, you were in a dark room with mirrors and a light and you had to position the mirrors in a way that illuminated the whole room. I believe there was a cooking level (there was a gas stove and you had to strike a match to light it, I think I was making pancakes? More often than not, the flame went out or the pancakes burned), a level where there was two wires and a thing (I think it was a clown face or something) in the middle, and you had to move the thing without touching the sides of the wires, and that's all I remember. Any ideas? This was early 2000s or late 1990s

Ok so I've looked for this game for years. I finally stumble upon this thread. This is my last ditch. It was the early 2000's. I was probably 5-8 when I played this game. My dad rented it from First Choice Video in my town. It was for PlayStation2. All I can remember from it is that the first mission started in the sewers and at the end of the mission it played the credits. I want to say that as you went through the first mission you picked up your main weapon which was a key or maybe a pipe wrench. It was a Japanese-styled game I want to say. I remember reading subtitles and characters with long floppy hair and flowy clothes. If you can give me anything to go on at all I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

That is almost certainly The Settlers 3, available on GOG.com.

There is a proper community still playing it online via "alobby"

Hello everyone, does anyone remember that PS2 open world rpg sorta game where there was levels and bosses every few levels, one if which was a chicken(?) and when you killed it it turned into a robot. Also in this game there were coins and you could buy stuff with it.

There was a game i used to play, so so many years ago, it was similar to bomberman but called something else, i remember we used to be 2 trying to kill others so we had to work together cause if we place a bomb it would kill us too, same like bomberman but it didn't even have (bomb) in it's name, u could place ur bomb at something if u put a bomb at it would fire everything around it even ur friend, it was a demo game.

There are quite a few Bomberman clones. Can you tell us roughly what year it was when you first played it? Or what you played it on (whether PC or a console)?

Just one character, and it was more of a hack and slash (Diablo) than real time with pause (Icewind Dale, Knights of the old republic...)

EDIT: Well don't I look like an arse now... It was Dungeon Siege, the "pretty graphics" and all the rest was probably a migraine induced trip, viewed with the lens of childhood. In my defense, I never got far at all, so I really didn't know that I was going to create more characters at any point! Thanks for the reply though!

Well I'll be, that's the one! Memory is a tricky thing (and mine is ) I would have never, ever thought that this was it (and I have the damn game!).
Thanks so much dude!

Key as a main weapon and colorful clothing with a japanese twist? Sounds like Kingdom Hearts (but there are quite a few...)

i remember it was a demo game on pc, i played it around 2008, but i guess it was older, i remember 1 of the 2 characters was wearing purple/blue with a hat. it was the same idea like bomberman but it might be a different game from bomberman cause i searched in all bomberman versions and i couldn't find it

hi everyone, got a game thats been on my mind for ages and i cant figure it out. its an old top down rpg dungeon explorer type game, and i played it early 2000s on a pc with windows 98 i think. (i live in england btw)
i cant remember any plot but you start off in a small village and after choosing your character (man/woman, i think the usual strength agility etc points but im not really sure) and then go into the mountain to explore the dungeon. theres always the same first room which has a goblin or something in it. as you go deeper you come across more powerful monsters like manticores. you have to keep going back to the village to sell the loot you pick up and buy armour, potions, spells etc.
i cant remember but i think its mostly magic based, you select a spell and point and click to shoot it and the monsters. the first spell you get is a light spell i think. there are also lots of amulets you pick up and can equip.
the dungeon in the game is a sort of grey colour, you cant see far around you so have to move around to see whats on the level your on. there are other colours as well for the monsters and stuff so not just grey and white. i remember it being a very big and confusing game, and it was quite easy to explore too many levels down and get lost.
the really annoying thing is i cant remember if it was a cd game, or one you downloaded.
would reeeeeeaaaaally appreciate it if someone could help me out, im meant to be revising for exams at the moment and have spent hours obsessively hunting for this game so if someone found it you would really be helping my future! lol
ill try and help out with other peoples but most seem to be on the early consoles and i never owned any of them
Try Nox

I looked up nox and it's not the game i was thinking of when i read this post. I scrolled through several pages to see if anyone ever commented again about this and nobody ever did. Anyone have any other suggestions for this? The game i'm thinking of has way more basic graphics than Nox. I remember playing it from a demo disc on PC and have been trying to find it for a while now.

EDIT: Nevermind I found it from page 9. Castle of the winds!!

Hi everyone!! I'm looking for a game that i think was a 2D rpg. I used to play it on my old computer. The main character was a blue haired girl and the game had sky view (like Starcraft or any strat game, but closer to the character). Game started in some kind of futuristic slum. Fight system was like Final fantasy. I also remember traveling across deserts and killing some creatures that i remember used to look like scorpions or something. It was a very funny game.. I hope somebody can remember this game! It's killing my brain, help :(. Gotta be made around 1995-2000. I played this a lot when i also played neverhood, the dig, commandos, etcetera.

Was it some manner of Septerra Core [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVZDEHuWuFg&index=1&list=PL410FDDD11CF42284]?

Now that im here and you kind guy helped me i can't also remember a game from PS1. Game had a male character and im pretty sure he also had blue hair as well lol. He was carrying something like a big laser on his hands and, even when game was in 3D, the camera was one from any classic platform 2D game (like metal slug camera). He was like traveling across planets and something like that... Any clue?

This one may be hard. It's been bugging the hell out of me. It is a pc game and I use to play it as a child. I believe it has a risk

It's a game where you play as a "bean/small potato creature " and all the others would be likewise. You have to fight them and it's a fairly decent size "map" but it's not a map. It's like just one area with a few hills and pathways between the areas, like dens
That's really all I can remember and I can't remember if it had faces or not but I think it did.
