When I was a kid, I remember watching my cousin play some PC game, where he killed a giant cyclops monster by filling a room with radioactive waste.
I remember he had night vision, and that he had to dart across bridges while avoiding the monster's attacks to activate the waste dispensers.
I got older, and was wondering, so I went searching.
My first thought was Half-Life, because the bit in the blast pit seems similar (Using the environment to kill something huge) but no dice. The graphics are different, and there's no similar monster.
The mystery game remains a mystery.

There was this game that i played on windows 3.1, im 75% sure it was called "ball" but that turns up nothing in google so im probably wrong. You play as a ball though, trying to get through obstacles etc, im pretty sure it was a bit of a puzzle game, very colorful, overhead isometric view. It wasent marble madness, it looked way better than that.

I have no idea what this was, it was on my first comp which was a 2nd hand 486sx bought from some guy, it came with simcity 2000 installed and this "ball" game. It was really fun until i screwed up the computer and broke it lol.
I think it's called Marble Blast.
There's a gold version, too.

Id really appreciate if any1 could tell me what the name of this game is, despite the vague details.
I think you can start either as a boy or a girl or a girl only, your like a knight and your like in this castle and you like venture off to forests or deserts/valleys fighting off monsters, you encounter griffins and i think it was giant lizards or giant turtles. You are in a group sort of like final fantasy but not the same, the game is like rpg element and in one of the plot was that you went back into your fortress or castle at night and you talk with some one and you get ambushed inside the castle and you have to escape. It was a ps1 or ps2 game i wasnt so sure, but itd mean alot to me if any1 knew the name of this game.

I remember an old game, similar to vectoroids. It was around early to mid 90s and I can't remember if it was Mac or PC. It was before Windows 95 though i think. It had yellow shapes (i particularly remember cones) that you had to hide behind, you were a green (I think) triangle shaped unit and I think there was a red guy that was bad and could shoot at and kill you. I think you could choose to play in arial or 3D mode. This is about all I can recall unfortunately.
Either way I remember LOVING this game and haven't yet been able to remember it's name or find anyone who does.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Hey guys, I have been trying to figure out this game I played a lot, maybe 10-12 years ago. It was for the PC and it was a RTS type game. The user could make custom tank type things from the main menu and then use them in a skrimsh game. The game play started with a large mother ship type thing and you would have to be over this crystal stuff to gain some form of energy, and then you could build the tanks you ceated. you could chohose from treads that could go over rocks to normal tires that were faster and hover crafts that could go over water. Thanks for the help guys.

Hey,
I remember playing a PC game where you play as this black round-ish hovering pod/tank thing with glowing jet engines (I think?), and I could pick up different items around the maps and stuff... including yellow rockets. Also, 90% top-down view, sort of like Diablo (it's not a RPG, though) I only played the demo version though, but I played it alot :V
The game had a sort of dark atmosphere too.
I just can't figure out what the name was, and it's bugging meeeee

I don't exactly expect anyone here to have played it, but if there's anyone who has, please tell me the name if you remember.

Think this one is Oddworld: Abe's Oddyssey. It has two sequals, one called Abe's exodus?

hope it helps!

PS2 game that involved mechs. Some points about it are:
1:Mechs.
2:You could get sponsored by different companies when you became good enough.
3:Fight in an arena against other mechs.
4:Buy "A.I"s that looked liked various animals.
5:100 days of competition then it would reset and went on for another 100 days.
6:There was a plot were in some conversations people would suddenly disappear and they would have found to have been killed.

If anyone knows please help, this game has been stuck in my head for ages and I can't find the name of it.

A PS1 game which was an overhead shooter where you controlled a space ship I think, over a city at night. I had the demo of the game but never owned it.

Also a fighting game which involved a character (a woman I believe) which was dressed in motorcycle gear. Again a demo on the PS1.

i remember playing this spaceship 1 on 1 fighting game probably more than ten years ago on an old apple mac, you start off with a crap ship and crap guns against an evenly matched enemy, you get money for killing them and you can then buy upgrades for your ship inbetween battles if you saved up enough money you could even buy a better ship, i think the best thing about the game was that it had little sound bites from tv when you killed an enemy or died yourself, i remember hearing some guy from star trek going ''hes dead jim!'' when i killed someone then you would hear fred from the flintstones go ''yaba daba doooo!'' lol it was an awsome game and it was realy hard. i remember it being called something like doZ but i cant find any evidance of that name or this game anywhere online. can anyone help me i would love to get a pc version or even some information on it? cheers Guy

Edit: I'll add my own query though it's vague...

A long time ago on my families old computer, that used an OS that wasn't Windows sometimes in the mid to late 90's. It was a very simplistic RPG where you played a man who's family (and whole village) had been killed by the local baddie. You would start the game and walk forward a few steps (top-down view, very, very, old simple graphics) find your home village burned, get the message the baddie did it and you must quest to stop him. From there you went forward and at some point found a cave and when you entered it you got to the first dungeon (of which there were two) a multi-leveled place (it used a random dungeon generator, possibly one of the first). It would be a white background with black lines for walls, you would wander around collecting items (there was a ton of different equipment for your dude) while fight bad guys (ghosts, manticores, gelatinous cubes, classic D&D stuff). From there you went to the major city and the castle/fort/base of the baddie and started making your way through the levels of that place. And that was it. It was small in content but I loved the randomly generated dungeons and collecting equipment and gold and improving my dude. I would love to be able to play it again.

I remember an old N64 game a long time ago where you had these futuristic motorcycles. Now, you didn't just race. You had guns. You always had a default autocannon type weapon, which fired a basic blaster round, and then there were various missiles and such. Three weapons I remember were the yellow rocket, which was direct fire only and had zero lock on and went in a straight line through the air. The red rocket was more of a guided missile that would lock on to any visible target and it would fly at it without following the track, so it could crash into hills in the track and such. The final one was a purple missile which would follow the course without fail and hit the nearest person ahead.

The game mode I remember playing was something called "shoot 'em up," which basically had you going around a track shooting at these weird disc-looking things at the edge of your line of sight. You could see them blow up, but they would always keep coming back in greater numbers, and you could never catch them.
Sounds a lot to me like 'Extreme-G'. Was pretty cool I guess.
Thank you so very much for reminding me. You have enhanced my reminiscing ability.

PLEASE HELP ME FIND THE TITLE OF AN OLD GAME!!!!
I'm looking for an old game I used to play in an old MAC. basically it is a puzzle game about a BLACK BALL you would control with the mouse and the goal was to hit the ball against some certain cube (or cubes) which would activate in order to pass to the next level (the game had many levels each of greater difficulty). Of course there where all sorts of obstacles. It has to be from the early 90's (along with this game the computer had Prince of Persia II and lemmings). That's basically it, please I would apreciate any help!
That's Oxyd or one of it's sequels. Or possibly the one before it.

You are in luck however. There is a freeware open source implementation called Enigma now :D

Find it here. http://www.nongnu.org/enigma/

I remember this one marble game that was on the school computers a few years back. basically you have a huge system of switches and metal railings that the marbles would slide down along and you had different goals, like line up the marbles in this sequence of colours or just get all the marbles to the bottom. Almost everything in the game was gold, brown or silver except for the marbles which were a whole bunch of colours depending on teh level. Hope someone can help me find it, it was really fun, haha
Sounds a lot like Marble Drop. But not entirely sure given the description. Been a long time since I played it.

That's Castle Of The Winds.
Or at least it sounds VERY much like it.

Nah, that wasn't it, the game was darker and the characters were older :(

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Uhh.

Evil Zone?

That's a game that crops up frequently when it comes to PS1 fighters that no-one can ever remember the name of.
