Old Games you remember playing but can't remember the name of.

I got two for ya. One you can probably help with, one I'm probably forever doomed to never play again.

The first is a 3D brawler on the PS1 (I'm pretty certain). I think it had two words in the name but don't quote me on that. You played as one of I think four people. The part that's actually helpful is that I can kidna remember the box (jewel case, w/e) are for it. It has all 4 characters but I can't picture the title. One of them is a huge bald dude in a wifebeater. Another is what I think its a brunetty chick, hair to probably her shoulders, a red shirt, and biker gloves. It had a sequel too, I believe.

The other one I think is also PS1, though it might be Genesis/Megadrive or something like that. I don't rememeber much of anything. One of the characters i believe was in a purple clown suit and I think had a staff. I think it was a side-scroller and I remember it being fairly high on the weird/quirky scale.

I'm looking for a PS2 game:
You controlled a grey/silver car that could fire turrets and drop landmines, and if the car got to much damage it turned into a motorcycle (which also had the turrets and mines).
I remember the campaign being horrible but the local co-op was fun as hell.
I'm also pretty sure that it was a sequel (= it had a big "2" at the end of the title).

Looks like Spy Hunter to me.

It is an old pc game anyways you played some guy in some town that was on a island or something there were kids throwing rocks from the roof also you had to get an armor or suit (whatever) in a building but had to be quick about it there were also crabs on the beach that attacked and you could drown that is all I can remember

Hi, I remember playing this platform-game in early 2000's, which had like this "one screen at a time"-based screen movement, kinda like in Legend of Zelda, but sidescrolling. You played as some wizard. It was freeware-version, so there was only one level, and had another character (Merlin I guess) locked. It had pretty descent graphics and soothing music. You collected different coloured gems, which looked like diamonds. Enemies were quite generic, wolves and bees and such. You fought them with staff that had some missile-type spells on it. If I remember correctly, when you got enough gems, a door appeared on some screen as an exit.

I really would appreciate, if somebody would know the name of this game that has been lost from me so many years...

I'm also searching one another game.
I was playing this also in the early 2000's. It was played on one computer as 4 player deathmatch, and was played as different coloured frogs. You were supposed to kill other players by jumping on top of them. It had power-ups (super-jump, super-speed, invulnerability etc..) and few maps, I can remember one being Titanic and other was some kind of a cave.
The game was really fast paced and was graphically kinda simple.
Also, it had lots of blood

More of a Q than a Reply. Searching for two games.
1) a female team leader of a swat-team has limited time to carry out mission to stop masked intruders before they can capture other females and take them to the basement for (whatever reason) - appeared some time back, and something special about it's Rating.
The team leader was nice looking, mid-west US type, and had a handler outside ( in-case of trouble ie slowness) the bad guys used pole-hooks to take girls around the neck and drag them away.

(2) a second game: no people no dialog, just musical tunes, notes in a pattern sequence.
Starts in a stairway. All four directions leads up to a harp (one each )with 5-8 notes.
That's about all I know, it just disappeared one day shortly after finding it.

If you, or anyone can tell me the names ( and where I can a copy again)
then PLEASE let me know.

Both were running on IBM/ MS 95 maybe 98
Would truly love to find them again. the first because it is SUCH a classic !, and the second because, like MYST, it's a brain twister, especially since I couldn't get past the first problem. - Up the stairs, play the stringed thing and down and up the other side a look-see what had changed- if anything.

a game on the ps1 i believe, it involved a boy and i remember a scene where you were on a rock ledge killing thousands of black goo like monsters with a gun that shot electricity, it was realy hard. want to play this game again help please.

I need help! There's a particular game I've been looking for the past 4 years or so. I remember playing it 10-15 years ago, I don't remember what platform. It involved rts, aliens, dinosaurs, eggs, bases, and it was a war game, defeat your opponent. I'm pretty sure you played as the Dinos, I'd you we're able to play as the aliens, I don't remember. It was also a eagle eye view, like command and conquer, Warcraft, etc.

The only RTS I've ever heard of to feature dinosaurs was Jurassic War

well speaking of old games,i have 1 played when i was seven years old maybe, its was a some sort of space combat dogfighting with lasers, missiles and all that stuff, i getting annoying since i started to play Starcraft 2 because i remember its kind similar(not the RTS stuff) about the hyperion, we are a organization,im inside a mothership, i have a commander to give me orders & missions, i cant remember about my ship. now about the combat i remember that we can either go to auto pilot mode to automaticaly skips to battlearea or we can go manually(but take a lot of time) i remember that i also could boost the speed of my ship temporaly. about the plot, i recall having a commander but after some missions we get attacked by another mothership with a woman as the commander. as we proceed to engage it, i receive a menssage asking me to betray my commander, this is where i can either betray or remain loyal proceeding to detroy whatever side i chose.

somewhat its is NOT related to star wars or star trek but i could be wrong.
played on pc windows 98 or 95
genre: space combat simulation
graphic: kind primitive 3D, better but still similar to FPS doom.

That could be Free Space or the Wing Commander series.

Sorry, it's not Free Space. I've played both the first one and the second one extensively, and 1. the game does not have an auto pilot mode or a travel time between mission areas and 2. There is not another woman commander that wants you to betray your original commander.

Possibly one of the wing commander series, but I've never played any of them.

The Wing Commander series had live action cut scenes with Mark Hammel and big furry cat people as villains. You'd probably remember that. Could also be Tachyon: The Fringe maybe the Independence War series.

I remember playing A game in about 2002-2004 on an old PC. It was a game like you are in a concentration camp, you need to escape. You cannot be seen by any guards or be heard. A few plays in, you need to get a truck to blow up something...I don't remember a lot of details. It is not prison break or red orchestra. I believe it was a windows 2000 if that helps.

Is it the Great Escape?

Could have been Prisoner of War, if it's not the Great Escape.

I have a few of games I remember playing on a PS1 demo disc a long time back, and they were incredibly fun.

One was a first person shooter of some kind where you control a flying robot, and you can turn and rotate in any direction which made things a little disorienting. I remember what little I played involved a lot of corridors separating open rooms. This game I actually owned the full game for a while, but have lost the disc in a clearup a looooong time ago. I found this game also, it's called Forsaken, and I highly recommend it, although it is pretty challenging to control.

Another is a top down fighting kind of game, and all I really remember was the enemy using attacks that made crystals appear under me and blasting me about. Also the only level I could play on was a grassy area with small cliffs scattered around. I've found out this game, it's called Destrega, made by KOEI

Thirdly, an RTS game which I believe was only named by a number, it looked like a year like 2140 or something. What I remember involved leading a small collection of units across rocky terrain, and I had three engineer-type units that couldn't attack until you got to a weird pad on the ground which supplied them with mechs.

The forth I'm not to sure was an actual game, or just a bonus minigame included on the disc, but it involved shooting zombie-like babies in a small arena and I remember it having powerups and all kinds of things. This one I'm not too bothered about discovering, but it might help anyone who has played the same demo discs as me xD

As far as I recall, all these games appeared on the same demo disc but don't take my word for it, and the games had a four minute time limit to play them in.

It was a NES game and it featured the protagonist exploring an icy mountain. Entering caves along the way. That's all I remember. It's been bugging me for months now!

Hey, I remember this old PC game from either the 90's or the late 80's. It had really bad graphics, you could count the pixels. You were in a jungle, and I remember a village and river. The screen had a panel with buttons and options along the right side and bottom of the screen. What was special about the main character was that he had the ability to change into a lizard. In the bottom right of the screen was a picture of the lizard, which you clicked to transform, or a picture of the characters face, to change back. Hell if I know what the story of the game was. I believe there was potions involved too? I might be imagining this however.

The name might have something to do with dragons... Dragor's Bane or something. Google hasn't been much help.

I've been tormenting myself this days as i couldn't remember the name of an old game i was playing at the start of 2000 i think. I tried a lot of references and keyword combinations, but all in vain. This forum is my last chance i think, and by reading some of this posts, i believe i am in the right place

So, the game is a Diablo clone, set in a medieval Japan or China, and i think you only have 3 characters in the party, and one of them is a woman. There is a lot of talk about spirits, souls, demons or whatever, and it could be a part of the title as well (never had any succes by searching for it anyway). I played a version that had bad translation, and it could be that some of it was in German?! I remember i got frustrated with it and never got to finish it, thing that i want to try now

So, any ideeas?

I'm having trouble remembering this one game from a while back... It was a turn based game on the PC. You'd have a team of aliens, and for the team make up, you'd have a choice from three different alien types, a huge strong but slow one, a weak but fast one, and one in the middle. Your team would start at one side, and the other team at another; and you'd have to compete for this little grey ball. When you'd get close to the opposing team you could attack them. I recall the little guys (the fast but weak ones) being very frog-like, possibly even making a frog-like "boing" when they move(/jump) to another space. Any help would be graciously appreciated!

I also recall map hazards, that you could knock the opposing teams aliens into, injuring/killing them.

Damn, I loved those demo discs.

The game you describe sounds a lot like part of the Descent series. I'm not sure how many made it onto the PSX (the series was PC based) but I know at least one did. You weren't actually a robot, you were piloting a ship of some sort but the totally 3D environment (including the disorientation) sounds bang on.
