There is an old point and click adventure game that I had the demo (Or I think it was a demo version) of as a kid. I would love to go back and find the full version but I've forgotten the name. I remember that there was a sort of combination television/gps/radio thing with many channels. If you had the right coordinates/code combo it would bring up an image of a world that you could enter (I think you could try to manually tune it and the image would be slightly scrambled?). The two worlds I remember were a hot air balloon and some sort of londonish city. I want to say that the city had some sort of ominous secret but I can't for sure. I wish I could remember more of it than that but sadly it was ages ago and I don't think I even spent that long with it in the first place.
Myst III - exile. I used to play it with my mom when I was little, confusing as hell puzzle game. http://www.mystjourney.com/exile/discoveries/walkthrough.php
Voltaic age is the one with the hot air balloons.

Hey everyone, I've been trying to figure out the name of a game for years, my uncle owned it ( I think it was on the original xbox?) and it might have just been a demo, but I remember it being a 3d, action rpg style game where you start out choosing one of two female characters to play as, one had a sword/melee style attacks and the other had magic/projectile attacks. I remember a lot of forest style scenery throughout the levels and it was mostly side-scrolling / platforming game. I remember it being relatively short, hence the demo thought, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what it was called. Any ideas? Thanks :D
bump plz

Another hazy memory, but the mystery of my whole life.
I remember in some game there was either an artwork image or maybe a scenery in the credits that looked like what I drew. I also at some point thought it could be a scenery from an animated movie. I don't really know much about it, all I know is that I definitely saw this at some point somewhere, and i don't remember where, and I just must know. I thought for years that i could have seen it in a dream, but then I found an old doodle I drew (which i recreated into the digital image above from scratch) which means either i liked the dream so much that i drew it, or that it actually existed. I feel like I saw it in the credits of some game most strongly.
If you know where this might be from, be it a game or a movie, please let me know ;u; sorry this isn't exactly on topic, as it's just be searching from where this came from, and it could not even be a game.
Hmmm, I'm probably wrong, but that picture reminded me of the movie Castle in the Sky.

Okay so the game i can't remeber the game of is a kind of like a tactical, dark, rpg where u could choose between three characters. A robot, a girl with like orbs as weapons and a basic solider who had the typical armor and guns. It's an RPG because i remember that u could equip different gear and that stuff. If anyone remembers the name of it or just needs more info to remember let me know!

hi there is a game that i keep trying to remember what it is for over 7 years now and its driving me insane! ps1 or ps2 not sure...

When you first start the game its a book with a man's voice telling you the story as it goes on youre in this RPG type game, you dont have any companions youre just one person that runs around and does quests and the fighting style is like zelda's where you just swing and kill, at the begining you start in this fortified town with really huge walls, inside you do small silly quests like get someone flowers and i remember a rat in the cellar that i had to kill.. after that something happened and the town people got mad at you for doing something i dont remember what it is, so they kick the boy out of the town and he goes through a cave to go to a place that was from a rainy beautiful green area to a rocky mountain hilly type area with dwarves i believe... i dont remember much please help :(
just updating my post giving more information also going to put the same info on top as well:

1: you were a 3d boy in semi 3d world.
2: the game starts with a book and a man's voice telling you the story of how this one town has fortified it self from all the monsters, for peoples safety no one is allowed to go outside.
3: the surroundings are filled with buildings it was night and there was a basic time in the game.
4: you cant get inside youre house unless it was a certain time when i think was his grandpa i think would return so you had to do few quests each quest passed the time, you had to find every quest to be able to pass the time so you can see youre grandpa in his house and one of the quests end up in getting you kicked out of the town i dont remember what it was.
5: you start leaving the fortified town and go through the caves in the caves you fight ogres i think i could be wrong it was something that you had to fight and the way you fought is hack and slash through the enemies.
6: the next town is rocky and yellow sand, you go to this black smith and you start talking to him he wasnt being mean but he wasnt being friendly either, you fight youre first boss and he's in the north area of that map the camera wont rotate all the way through so you cant really see much on the corner but you do see the boss perfectly fine or he could be a regular thing to kill but man he was hard to beat.

please this game means a lot to me it has been with me in my worse days of my life and it was very comforting for me, it means a lot to me.

sounds kind of like dark cloud 2 for ps2. kid fights with a wrench in dungeons, first area is a fortified city then the sewers under the city and then next is a forest area with dwarves. the kid has a grandpa in the first city, the guy in the circus is evil and chases you out of the city.

I'm trying to remember I game I played a bunch at a store, like Best Buy or something. It was a 3D rail shooter where you were flying through a city shooting at futuristic looking tanks and helicopters and stuff. You kept twisting around and turning corners all over the place. It was played with the controller and not a light gun, at least at the store. I think it might have been for the 3DO or one of those other not so popular systems.

hope you can help me :/

edit: i also remember that you could enter a temple and kill some of the bad guys inside and you needed to dodge some of the ceiling blocks and the floor ones too

Sounds sort of like a Descent or Forsaken. Do you remember how it controlled? Was it like a helicopter where you could move in any direction and even hover? Or more like a plane where you were always moving?

Hi, I made an account just to ask here.

I remember playing this sort of educational PC game back in the early 2000's the main menu was what appears as a small lab or something and there was a computer screen somewhere in there (you could also say it was pixel art, albeit probably detailed) there were multiple minigames, but I only remember one.

There's a robot standing in a room, and there are a number of "command" buttons on the bottom of the screen, some commands included walking one step, three steps, turning around, pick something up (fish bowl, basketball, stool), interacting with them, stashing them away inside the robot, somersaults and backflips. There were also two buttons the robot could interact with, one on either side of the room.

There were multiple ways to give him orders, you could have him apply the command right as you press them, or queue them to make sort of a cut scene. There was also a challenge mode which gave you an objective which you needed to achieve using queuing. Lastly, I remember that you could edit the queue, and the interface looked like a movie editor.

I don't really remember much other than that, I remember the game's name having something "science" or "lab" related in the title. I'm not sure about this last detail, but I think the CD art had a lot of brown and/or pink on it.

Okay so this is a HUUUUGE long shot! I'm 19 years old, and I'm thinking of two games from 1995+, I can't tell you the date exactly. Moreover, the descriptions I remember make me seem like I'm hugely trippy, but I'm not I swear! I played them on the PC.

Game 1: I think it was a purple hedgehog(?) and it like rolled onto the screen upon starting the game and it was essentially an art kinda game where you could drag stickers and paint things etc and it was really fun but that's all I remember unfortunately. Googling these things always brings up Sonic (feel my pain).

Game 2: (an even worse, trippy, description! I apologise in advance.) Basically, this was an interactive game of some sort and I'm sure it had some click and spawn element when you went onto a certain part of the game. I think it was an alphabet interactive game BUT I'm not entirely sure. The main thing that my memory is giving me is this huge cartoon ladybug stomping around, it's 2D (think Simon the Sorcerer) and it's eating green aphids. Another part of the game and it has something to do with a cow's stomach and I think it was more an educational game but it was really weird.

That's all I can give at the moment and I'm pretty sure I sound like I'm high right now but I'm not, I promise!

Voltaic age is the one with the hot air balloons.
It is definitely not in the myst series. It was all hand drawn 2d images from what I remember. The "worlds" were accessed by a single tv or computer like apparatus and not by books. It would show a scrambled image and as you tuned in to the proper frequency the image would become clearer. Once it was completely unscrambled you could enter into the world. I'm not even entirely sure you actually went into the world or if you controlled it through the tv screen though.

I want to say it had something to do with trying to track down a lost uncle but I may be mushing two different games together.

Hello, the game I am trying to remember was one that came on Windows 98..? I can't remember which one honestly, I was way too young at the time. But the game was like an adventure game. You would start in some place with, from what I can remember, your house being like broken or on fire and your mother was killed..? Something along those lines and then to move you would use the arrow keys. One push of the button would move you one cell. Holding it down would just send you running in a direction basically. You would encounter monsters and to fight them i think it was you simply run into them with the arrow keys? Of course with your character having weapons. I think i remember the first enemy being a rat and the rat killing me in about two blows or so lol.. I honestly can't remember most of it and it has taken me the absolute longest time for me to find a picture of it, but I literally found one today of something that looks REALLY similar to it. This game in the image looks literally almost like the game that i played over like 16 years ago or so, but it's not that game itself. It just looks like someone revamped the graphics a bit and tried remaking the game.

http://typophile.com/files/screen3tj_4924.png

The character is the knight at the top i believe. Each time you move would be one cell like i said before. I can't remember the name for it at all and I don't recall it being in alpha or being a demo neither. The image is not of the actual game that I played when I was like 4 or 5 years old obviously... Another thing i can remember from the game is that when you start, two screens up is a dungeon and then if you go back out and down one and left one i think..? there was this village of some sort. I don't know that's all i can remember.
