Hello, the game I am trying to remember was one that came on Windows 98..? I can't remember which one honestly, I was way too young at the time. But the game was like an adventure game. You would start in some place with, from what I can remember, your house being like broken or on fire and your mother was killed..? Something along those lines and then to move you would use the arrow keys. One push of the button would move you one cell. Holding it down would just send you running in a direction basically. You would encounter monsters and to fight them i think it was you simply run into them with the arrow keys? Of course with your character having weapons. I think i remember the first enemy being a rat and the rat killing me in about two blows or so lol.. I honestly can't remember most of it and it has taken me the absolute longest time for me to find a picture of it, but I literally found one today of something that looks REALLY similar to it. This game in the image looks literally almost like the game that i played over like 16 years ago or so, but it's not that game itself. It just looks like someone revamped the graphics a bit and tried remaking the game.

http://typophile.com/files/screen3tj_4924.png

The character is the knight at the top i believe. Each time you move would be one cell like i said before. I can't remember the name for it at all and I don't recall it being in alpha or being a demo neither. The image is not of the actual game that I played when I was like 4 or 5 years old obviously... Another thing i can remember from the game is that when you start, two screens up is a dungeon and then if you go back out and down one and left one i think..? there was this village of some sort. I don't know that's all i can remember.
Sounds a lot like Castle of the Winds. You start in the town but your house was burned down and there is a dungeon to the north. To be honest though a lot of tile based roguelike games look very similar. See if the intro in this video looks familiar [link]http://youtu.be/EQO2KhJVrnQ?t=3m55s[/link]

A friend of mine is desperate to find a long lost game she used to play (in DOS or Windows, she's not sure...) as a kid during the 1990's. If anyone knows which game she describes we would be thankful!
I asked her to sum up the game and she replied this:

"The game was something like this:
- It had a cat on a rooftop on the cover
- The purpose of the game was to make a video, choosing a song, a background and some characters
- Backgrounds I remember: beach, rooftops, haunted castle... (there were more)
- Songs I remember :hungarian song no 5, unchained melody... so much more (maybe a jazz theme...)
- Amongst the characters there was a blonde woman, a strong man, the cat from the cover and others (all with instruments), vampire, etc.
- Each character had a set of different movements that we could choose from, to create a story. And we could move them around the background as well.
- Not 3D and not manga/anime. For some reason the words "video" or "studio" or "cat" or "jam" sound to me like they could have been in the title of the game. Not sure though."

Any clue? Thanks!! <3

I remember this game where the people of this realm had been turned to stone except for you and half of a wizard who could still talk and gave you the task of finding out what happened, and you killed orcs and unicorns, and you could cut the heads of chickens, but for the life of me I can't remember it's name.
I'd like to find this game too. I remember the chickens would run around with their heads cut off and blood could cover almost the whole screen if you let them run around enough. I remember it being top down view.

The game I am trying to find is a math learning game for kids on PC that I played in early 2000s. I remember that there were various mini games to learn math and one was making smoothies for a toucan with an Island accent using fractions. There was also a game where little aliens were falling and you had to move a trampoline type thing to bounce them to safety before they hit the ground and I think this might have been in the same game as the math one but I'm not sure. Any help identifying either game would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello again guys I am back with another game that I can't seem to recall for the life of me.

I played it about 15 years ago and I don't remember but 1 thing about it and hopefully it's enough.

It was for the SNES I don't remember what the overworld was like, what kind of view you had of the game but you were a hero with what I recall as a sword (possibly a dagger but I doubt that.) At the very beginning or near the very beginning you go into a cave where there are slime like monsters on the ground in a little dip, you had to crouch to attack them.

In the cave I am positive it was a side scrolling game while in the cave. and IIRC you leveled up I am fairly sure you did..

That unfortunately is all I remember about the game and no it's not Zelda 2, not to mention that was for the NES..

If this get's answered correctly by anyone I will actually be surprised with the vague details.

DUDE! I do not mean to get your hopes up because I have no answer but I have been wondering what the name of that game was as well! IIRC we are talking about the same game. You go through "levels" each getting harder, it's kinda like how Donkey Kong and Super Mario world are set up where you go from one challenge to the next. We may be talking about separate games but if we're on the same page I want to follow this post so I can figure out the name of it too

Im looking for a game I used to play in the mid 90s ( but its probably a bit older than that ) and it was a 2D PC game. you controlled a little man with a gun. there was a mulistorey haunted type house which was patrolled by wolves on each storey (i may be combining two games in my head) and the first task was to jump over a high brick wall and approach the house. any help would be awesome! :)

Well, I might as well toss one I have been trying to remember for a while on the pile. Game probably was somewhere in the 90's, fairly sure it was on CD-ROM. Its a racing game, and the image I mostly have burned on my brain is racing on a motorcyle on a mountain road. I think you had to move around trucks (you overtook them I think, not so much they coming from behind). And I think maybe you also had to dodge some kind of cattle?

For some reason I connect this game to the 1995 RPG Thunderscape. I don't know if we had two different CD-ROMS at the same time and if it was some kind of package deal (buy one get two), if the CD-ROM had both games on it, or maybe they weren't related at all and I was just playing them at the same time.
sounds like road rash to me, they had quite the series going.... u should give em a look
From the looks of it that series never made it to PC? Regardless, it doesn't look like its the game I mean.

I need help! :) I cant remember this game, it was in late 80s early 90s maybe, was a sit down arcade game and was like portal runner a little bit,had a flight looking stick with trigger. u would dodge obsticles by rolling up the side walls and fight dragons that I think came up out of the water??? maybe? and they would shoot egg shaped shots at u, then they would decend back into the water like a boss fight, and right before u ran into the bosses it was epic!! it would sound sirens and flash something across the screen along the likes as a warning! and ur vehicle shot electric sparks or something that looked like that, and weapons progressed as u got further and at the end of stages u could choose a direction to go! it was like letter pyramid when choosing direction! someone gotta know this! :)please help!

the arcade game actually had a window in back so people could stand behind it and watch you!

Hey guys! I don't know you will know it or something. But i'll try to explane what game is about. Im looking for it about a year or two for now. I remember i played the game when i was 7yo. Now im 17yo. That means ten years ago. The game was like old times were weren't any guns. The weapons was swords, bows. There were orc village and a castle.. You had to level up your abilities and you get stronger. There was a town where you could buy weapons or armor. The sellers was very hard to kill. But when you level up your abilities it was possible to do it. I dont know how the game calls. I want to find it. Please help me! I think some of you were playing it too... The game was like skyrim. But there were no dragons and sh*t. The game was first person by the way. Thanks for any help :) P.s. The game was for pc.

I'm looking for a game that might have been on play station one. It was an adventure game where you go to town and buy armor, swords, potion and I think magic was one of it too. You travel in forest killing things (I think one monster was a giant bee/wasp) then you go into a dungeon and kill the main boss. The dungeon had traps and treasure chests and monsters. That's all I could remember. It's not Deathtrap Dungeon. I think in the beginning of the game you get to choose between several characters.

i remember playing a rts game were you played as one of three factions; humans, robots or inchas. and around the map you could unlock bunker which had super units in them(randomly). You could get a robot, a tank and a fighter-plane i thin. Does anyone know anything about a game like that?

This game was so amazing! sure the humans where really dull. But the robot and incha races where so cool! The incha race had normal archers as ground units, but they had big scorpions as tanks and giant waps as flying units while the robot race had both small and big robot spiders instead of tanks. GOD it was so awsome!

Hello guys. I'm looking for a pc game i played many years ago(15 years ago?) :
- You play a top down ship which is in the center of the screen, that has inertia and limited supply of fuel(the fuel would replenish while near a planet) and start orbiting a planet.
- The purpose of the game was to conquer all other planets controlled by the computer.
- You would upgrade the planets as to give more resources(i think) and build ships that you could order to attack other planets or patrol your area of space.
- You could capture other planets using ships called marauders i think.
- You could also defend the planets by building sattelites (maximum 4 or 5)that attacked incoming ships.
- The game supported split screen mode.
Thx.

I'm posting this on behalf of my grandfather. He says it's a Genesis game where you have to like stop missiles from hitting you? Didn't get a lot more than that though. He though it was called War Games because it was kinda like the movie but I don't see a Genesis game with that name.any ideas?

This sounds a lot like Wild Arms to me. Did it have sprites kinda like a SNES Final Fantasy?

It's not wild arms, the game was in third person.

I'm looking for a browser game on the Outspark website...

You controlled some sort of little creature civilization. They called you "Great One" or something and you had to guide them. You built them resting places and schools, and they collected things and presents for you. This gave you some sort of points you could use for things like creating sun and rain or something.

The game map/background was a sort of dark color (or at least my memory of it is, I don't remember if there was a day/night cycle. I think not.)

You started out with them asking for your help in the top right area. Then you slowly expanded across a gorge or river or something after building a bridge.

I got a sudden urge to find it.
