Hi! I'm amazed I found a thread like this! So I'm gonna take full advantage of it!

I'm looking for some old PC Space Strategy games that I remember playing but can't remember the name of them.

One of them, I remember you could travel to different planets. And all of these planets had different kinds of resources and building materials, and you could harvest those resources and build materials to build space crafts, weapons for the space crafts and so forth. I only have an image of red bulks that was a material for something.. The space battles were played out on a different playing area. I guess the games strategy element is turned based. Cuz the space battles are just 2D top or side scroller and you move your ship around to try destroy the enemies.

Then I remember a kind of space shooter, might be a strategy game as well. All I can remember is a top-view and you fly space crafts around and try shoot others. But the twist in this game is that you could actually board other space crafts and then you would be fighting with soldiers you had on the ship on their ship. I can't remember much more then this...

Then I kinda remember a multi player space strategy game where you colonize planets and build your space armada in a turnbased game. (think its turned based.)
All of these games are very old.

These games have a few images burnt in to my memory and I remember them being a lot of fun to play because at the same time, they were difficult and had lots of content.

I remember playing a game for the pc quite a while back. it was a medieval era game. It had units like elephants and spearman. I also remember you can take over cities, there was also a unit for one race that you could only build 4 of them. You also needed food for your troops or they would die. im pretty sure that you could upgrade your troops to. and when you built troops there would all go into the town hall or something like that. that is all i can really remember. I been trying to find it for years. any help would be wonderful.

There was an old, old pc game that my computer science class in elementary school let us play that i can't remember the name of. It was an educational game and the part of it i played the most had to do with traveling through time and i think there was a train pictured on the game screen that went through the time periods as you moved the time using a bar on the bottom of the screen. I remember there was a swirling vortex animation and a "shwoop" noise when you skipped forward a big unit of time. anybody remember what i'm talking about?

Hello again guys I am back with another game that I can't seem to recall for the life of me.

I played it about 15 years ago and I don't remember but 1 thing about it and hopefully it's enough.

It was for the SNES I don't remember what the overworld was like, what kind of view you had of the game but you were a hero with what I recall as a sword (possibly a dagger but I doubt that.) At the very beginning or near the very beginning you go into a cave where there are slime like monsters on the ground in a little dip, you had to crouch to attack them.

In the cave I am positive it was a side scrolling game while in the cave. and IIRC you leveled up I am fairly sure you did..

That unfortunately is all I remember about the game and no it's not Zelda 2, not to mention that was for the NES..

If this get's answered correctly by anyone I will actually be surprised with the vague details.

I'm probably the only person who knows this game even exhists and for the life of me I can't remember what it was called at ALL! I've been scouring the internet for years but I guess I don't have enough inormation on it... Which is funny because I remember many little details about it... It was like a point and click game for kids, maybe... I remember being like seven, maybe eight years old and playing this on the computer.

There were like four or five anthro characters, one was a sheep in an orange jumpsuit or something and if you look at his info or whatever you can spin him around and behind his back he's holding a sign that says woo woo. There was also like a flashback maybe where he was in school and was wearing a dunce cap I think...

There's a teddy bear somewhere that if you click on it it says "can I have a glass of wa wa?"

I remember this really cool music video about a forest at night and the rain was killing them or something.

There was this one video that was just a couple of raisins (or were they prunes?) that kept saying "what do you want to do today?" "I dunno, what do you want to do today?" I dunno, what do you want to do today?" over and over and if you watched them long enough they roll down a huge hill in a tire.

There was a dog in a living room or something and if you click on it, it pees on the carpet and if you kept clicking on it the puddle gets bigger and bigger until it all disappears.

There was a book you could click on and it was about a boat that set sail, and each page said it kept sailing, and sailing, and sailing.

There was something about this contraption and crystals, and all the characters got zapped into this huge white field and you had to figure out which crystal powered the machine or something.

So any info helps immensely! It's driving me crazy!

So, i have been searching for this game on the internet for a long time.

- It is a Sci-fi/futuristic game

- Its a War/shooting game, you control one soldier and have the other AI soldiers help you to fight an army of aliens.

- You see your soldier from a distance, like Zelda games.

- You could ask for reinforcements (soldiers) based on how many aliens you killed, an i remember they would come in a small spaceship in groups of 4-5, there where many tiers of reinforcements.

- You have to defend a base, there where usable turrets there and some interactable doors etc.

- I remember the game title having "war" and a year like "2031" or "3000" on it, but im not sure.

- And i remember playing it on a Cd ROM on PC, in one of these "1001 games" CD that comes with a magazine.
Someone Plz help :(

i remember playing a rts game were you played as one of three factions; humans, robots or inchas. and around the map you could unlock bunker which had super units in them(randomly). You could get a robot, a tank and a fighter-plane i thin. Does anyone know anything about a game like that?

This game was so amazing! sure the humans where really dull. But the robot and incha races where so cool! The incha race had normal archers as ground units, but they had big scorpions as tanks and giant waps as flying units while the robot race had both small and big robot spiders instead of tanks. GOD it was so awsome!

That's probably KKND Krossfire.

Hello, the game I am trying to remember was one that came on Windows 98..? I can't remember which one honestly, I was way too young at the time. But the game was like an adventure game. You would start in some place with, from what I can remember, your house being like broken or on fire and your mother was killed..? Something along those lines and then to move you would use the arrow keys. One push of the button would move you one cell. Holding it down would just send you running in a direction basically. You would encounter monsters and to fight them i think it was you simply run into them with the arrow keys? Of course with your character having weapons. I think i remember the first enemy being a rat and the rat killing me in about two blows or so lol.. I honestly can't remember most of it and it has taken me the absolute longest time for me to find a picture of it, but I literally found one today of something that looks REALLY similar to it. This game in the image looks literally almost like the game that i played over like 16 years ago or so, but it's not that game itself. It just looks like someone revamped the graphics a bit and tried remaking the game.

http://typophile.com/files/screen3tj_4924.png

The character is the knight at the top i believe. Each time you move would be one cell like i said before. I can't remember the name for it at all and I don't recall it being in alpha or being a demo neither. The image is not of the actual game that I played when I was like 4 or 5 years old obviously... Another thing i can remember from the game is that when you start, two screens up is a dungeon and then if you go back out and down one and left one i think..? there was this village of some sort. I don't know that's all i can remember.
Sounds a lot like Castle of the Winds. You start in the town but your house was burned down and there is a dungeon to the north. To be honest though a lot of tile based roguelike games look very similar. See if the intro in this video looks familiar [link]http://youtu.be/EQO2KhJVrnQ?t=3m55s[/link]
You.... ARE MY LIFE SAVER!!! You literally have no clue how long I have been looking for this game. I am in great debt to you >.< hahah.

Hi all, I used to play a PC game in the early 90's where a boy would wake up and his parents had gone away travelling without him. They would leave clues and he would pack up and follow them around the globe but every time he found the clue, they had moved on and left another clue. Some of the popular destinations were Madagascar, and Sydney. When you clicked on the Sydney opera house if the clue was correct it would sing really loud. I think the boy's name was Joe. The game would be basically navigating around a globe visiting different countries. I would LOVE to know what it was called! Can anyone help? I think it was a UK game.

Hello. Im trying to remember the name of two old PC platformer games.
The first one you could press a button to transform between a man or a woman. The man had sword and the woman could shoot fireballs. The first level was in a forest environment with wooden platforms scattered throughout. I vaguely remember that you could collect some form of item (i think they were red gems).

The second one you control and little brown guy (I think he was the shape of a Sphero from LBA, a ball with arms and legs) in an underground mine environment and you have to collect chunks of gold. The only other thing i remember are that the colour themes for the game were mostly brown.

Thanks

That sounds so weird it could be Monty Python's Flying Circus. At least there is a scene when you turn into a fish.

Hey there.

I'm looking for 2 games, I'm also sorry for so poor descriptions but I remember almost nothing from those:
1. I think it was PC game, although I always played this game using joystick. The sky was red (maybe only in one level, I can't remember). Before one stage I had to solve logic puzzle, there was yellow window and when I passed through it finally I had tanks coming at me and shooting (they were riding from the bases/black buildings).
It was first person shooter. Mostly I remember red color and tanks.
Graphics were really bad :D Well, now they should be.

2. This one is surely PC game, you had to download it from a web page.
It looked like dungeon/rpg/rougelike game? I'm not sure about it. Graphic style was cartoon, at least characters' and objects' contours were hard black lined (forgive me my English, I hope you understood). It was thirdperson and probably multiplayer.
You could kill monsters in this dungeon (this is where you start), collect money, items, etc.
After this underground location you are on surface, there is mini-game with cars or something like that.
And one more thing, if you die, you start from the beginning. I couldn't save this game, maybe there is a way :)

I hope someone recognize one of these, thanks! :)

Hi im trying to think of the name of an old pc game i played with my dad when i was very little it was release between 1996 and 1999 and featured a barbaric or medievil warrior style character in a 3d landscape set in 3rd person view, the only things i remember from gameplay is that there where huge pits filled with wooden spikes you had to jump across or risk being impaled, the enemies you fought had boar heads or masks with horns.. thats most of what i can remember.
Would love to play it again. It was on a windows pc if thats any help .
Also there was a castle involved in the story you had to get to, and i think you encountered a cyclops along the way.. the hero carried a sword in the game and had dark hair too. Please help me find this game and sorry about the little info i remember on it but i was only around 5 years old when i played this game.

UPDATE : It also may have only been a demo that came preloaded with windows pc at the time.

This game is so hard to come across havent even came across a screenshot and iv been searching for weeks at this stage. HELP!!!
Anybody have any guesses even!

Hi, I made an account just to ask here.

I remember playing this sort of educational PC game back in the early 2000's the main menu was what appears as a small lab or something and there was a computer screen somewhere in there (you could also say it was pixel art, albeit probably detailed) there were multiple minigames, but I only remember one.

There's a robot standing in a room, and there are a number of "command" buttons on the bottom of the screen, some commands included walking one step, three steps, turning around, pick something up (fish bowl, basketball, stool), interacting with them, stashing them away inside the robot, somersaults and backflips. There were also two buttons the robot could interact with, one on either side of the room.

There were multiple ways to give him orders, you could have him apply the command right as you press them, or queue them to make sort of a cut scene. There was also a challenge mode which gave you an objective which you needed to achieve using queuing. Lastly, I remember that you could edit the queue, and the interface looked like a movie editor.

I don't really remember much other than that, I remember the game's name having something "science" or "lab" related in the title. I'm not sure about this last detail, but I think the CD art had a lot of brown and/or pink on it.
Is there any chance you could be thinking about "Jumpstart 3rd Grade"?

The main character is a robot who has to save the world from his inventor's daughter. She is sending other robots back in time to change history and you have to stop her. One of the mini games does involve controlling a little robot using the commands you mentioned.

Sound Familiar?
