Hi!
i found this topic googling around for the name of this game i used to play on playstation 1, and i really hope you guys can help me.
It was in japanese, so, thats why i can't remember the name!
At the beginning of the game, the main character is travelling in some kind of small plane, and it crashes in an island and end up camping there, you have to solve misteries of this island, your main weapon is some kind of hammer, you find fruits, monkeys and other animals attack you, you fall from waterfalls and stuff like that, it was really fun to play. For years i try to find it's name and hope someone helps me, it would be great to play it again.

Yes, it's time for one of these again, simply because I started thinking about a game me and a friend rented as a kid but never figured out how to beat. I need your help in finding the name of the game so I can find out how you were supposed to beat it, it's been annoying me for over 20 years.

Here's what I remember: it's a NES game. You walked on a sidewalk and occasionally enemies would show up and fight you. They were pretty easy to beat. Sometimes cars would pass you by and try to do a drive-by on you, you could avoid getting shot by ducking. If you walked past an alley a small enemy would stop you and fight you in the alley. These guys were kinda tricky as they were jumping all over the place.

I remember that not far into the game you would end up in an apartment where you would fight somebody (if I recall correctly it was a woman). After defeating her/him another character would show up in the doorway and start shooting. You avoided getting shot by ducking, but you couldn't do much else. It was impossible to get close to him or run away (at least, I never figured out how to do it), so you always ended up dying there.

I think that it was based off a movie, if I recall correctly there were screenshots from a movie on the back off the box.

If anyone could help me I would be mighty grateful, it's been driving me mad for so long.

EDIT: No worries, I finally found it. It was Total Recall.

Hi.

I'm sorry if this has been up for discussion earlier here but the thread is pretty long and my searches didn't generate any results so I figured I'd reply to the thread instead.

I'm looking for a NES or SNES(most likely) game where you play as a kid on a side-scroll-er, I think it took part at in the stone age or something. The interesting thing about the game is that in one part of the game you get eaten by a boss and you then play a level taking place inside of the boss and results in the main character exiting the body of the boss (through either hole :) ). I also remembering there being some kind of "angry"-mode which you could enter where the character change appearance to some devil-like creature and all the attacks change for a period of time.

The names that first popped into my head might help in the search for the game so here they are:
"Stone age kid", "Super stone age kid", "Super stone age guy".

Appreciate all help.

Thanks

The next game was a PS1 game I think and in it you had to get past giant blocks that was moving.
That is probably I.Q.: Intelligent Qube.

I'm guessing Super Bonk, or Super B.C. Kid as it is known in Europe.

Hey guys :)
I´m looking for an old(98/xp?) computer game in which u play a ball, the ball changes colour when he hits a colorchange block and then u can toch the block of the same color otherwise u would die. Somitimes there was also ice and then u couldn´t change the direction of the ball.
The objective of the game was to detroy all the destroyable blocks in each lvl.
There were many lvl but u had to unlock them with completing the lvl before the lvl selection was also a little "lvl".
It was colorful and had perfect music ;)
I remember a skull on the start screen and imo the start screen was mostly purple.

1 lvl kinda looked like this u had to destroy the orange blocks, it´s not perfect, but if u played it u will probably remember it :D

Thanks for your answer

Hey people I'm looking for a pretty old game which I can't remember the name.

All I remember is that it's a third person shooter in which the main character is a fat guy wearing a gaudy suit.

He speaks with an accent which i think is Italian (could be wrong). But there is definitely an accent.

All i remember from the story is that the main character is a cop, or used to be one, and the game's opening scene shows him hugging two bikini-clad women in a jaccuzzi and kicking down a door.

I also remember that one of the cheat codes for the game is the phrase "nano" which makes your character model smaller.

oh yeah and it's on pc, although im not sure if it's on other platforms as well

any help would be greatly appreciated.

So much thanks to this forum because I finally found one of my childhood game: Chip's challenge :D. Really, thank you!!

I still searching another game:
I played in PC about 2000-2004. The main game is to travel around the world searching mail by mail in such spots in the world, and then ending up found a friend who sent those mails (if I remember it correctly). The mail supposedly has a clue so we have the idea where we have to find the next mail. There's a big world map where we can click it to go to the places of the Earth. There's also a mini game that have ship, map, and whirlpools.

I could be wrong, but here it is,

Sounds like one of the "where in the world is carmen San Diego ?" series of game

Cheers

i remember playing a sega game around 1990-1992. you played an animal i think and needed to change into a different animal to be able to advance in the levels. was a kind of adventure game. any ideas?
Not much to go on. Do you remember the viewing angle or anything? Was it actiony like Altered Beast or more platformy like Rolo to the Rescue?
Was it E.V.O. Search for Eden? Each level takes place millions of years apart, with your character starting as a fish, changing later into a lizard, dinosaur, and eventually a mammal.

i remember playing around 2000's a game that was about spaceships i think you could switch from 1° person to 3°person view on the ship, but you were not in space, i remember playing in a desert and it was some pyramids and you can use boost and switch from bombs to lasers, i think it was on a pc with win98 but i'm not sure, it was in 3d that's all i can remember
hope you can help me :/

edit: i also remember that you could enter a temple and kill some of the bad guys inside and you needed to dodge some of the ceiling blocks and the floor ones too
Sounds sort of like a Descent or Forsaken. Do you remember how it controlled? Was it like a helicopter where you could move in any direction and even hover? Or more like a plane where you were always moving?
it was like a plane where i was always moving!

Hi, I'm new in Escapist. I need help. I played this PC game just about 3 years ago and I've forgot the name. It's about -- survival island -- kind of game. Many challenges, many rewards, tasks, etc. All I can recall is there are tasks like: pick -a number of- berries at a berry tree, collect crabs, pick some mushrooms, plant some of vegetables such as potatoes, cabbage, then fishing, collect gems, clear some worship statues, enter the cave, cook some delicious beverages, such as salmon bla bla bla (I can't remember), tomato sauce, french fries, etc. Also, there's a level (maybe close to the end of game) where people in this game build a bar and they can drink to increase the 'fun' need -- until they drunk. They have these needs: hunger/hungry, fun, healthy, ......... >_< they never sleep, as I recall. they just have to relax by fire around the area. They have some abilities which more helpful in the proceed level such as science/scientist, farm/farmer, fisherman, also, the people have to wash their clothes in particular time. That's all I can recall. Please help, I'm stuck searching on Google.

Hi everyone.

I'm trying to remember the name of a game I played with my brothers in primary school (15ish years ago) on PC.
It's a board game similar to Monopoly where everyone chooses a character in a car. You drive around in an open world style board game map buying properties where natural disasters may occur damaging them. I remember one specific one was "Nessie" would come out of the lake and damage your property. Also I think it was kind of a race as well, yet also competitive to see who gets the most money.
If anyone have any ideas, would really help as I would like to play it again with my cousin's daughters when they're over, as I remembered it was quite and enjoyable.

Cheers

EDIT: I also remembered a character having a monocle and big mustache.
Anyone can help? i am also looking for that game ;)
I search forum but i couldnt find title of it

PS2 game that involved mechs. Some points about it are:
1:Mechs.
2:You could get sponsored by different companies when you became good enough.
3:Fight in an arena against other mechs.
4:Buy "A.I"s that looked liked various animals.
5:100 days of competition then it would reset and went on for another 100 days.
6:There was a plot were in some conversations people would suddenly disappear and they would have found to have been killed.

If anyone knows please help, this game has been stuck in my head for ages and I can't find the name of it.
Also looking for that game, and it's not Gundam Wing. The conversations were Manga-like (the drawings of the characters) and the game involved you aiming with you mech cannon FPS then reverting to 3rd person turn based.
Could it be any of the Zoids games?

The game was you were playing a hovercraft/floating tank on a distant planet, and the enemies were the same (just other types named scouts, thunderbirds etc) and you were in a 3rd person view. I really only remember little sadly, that for example the thunderbirds were the big tanks taht were very difficult to kill. I played it on the PC.

Hope you can help.

Every once in awhile I try to remember this game I'm thinking of and it always seems to elude me, I guess it's more difficult for me since I don't remember much as is.

All I remember is that it was either on the PS2 or PS3, though I'm really leaning towards PS3 since I don't remember owning a PS2 at all. It was about some sort of protag with brown or blond medium length hair, some sort of cadet starting mission type stuff where you were a knight or someone armored. Some sort of medieval navy as well, I remember boats, though I dont remember sailing the boats. More or less just using it to get from zone to zone. I vaguely remember there being some sort of event where you take a ship and then crash on an island with some of your knight friends, and do a short set of gathering quests. The next thing I remember after that is the first big boss being either a giant crab or a giant turtle.

It's not much to go on but hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about.

:edit: lol this probably wont help but I remember the intro had dolphins in it.
