When i was younger i used to play a game which i think was a msdos game.At the start of the game you could choose one of 3 characters and i also remener that they had a special move to defeat enemies and one of them was a fat guy which farts to defeat the enemies . the game played i think in a dungeon and you had to get to the next door or stairs to get to the next level there was also a special move when you collected 5 items i think so you could summon a dragon which defeats every enemie in the level
thanks for your help :D

Hey, I am new here...does anybody know an old PC game platafoer that took place in a jungle or temple and you were some type of ninja or explorer and you had to kill other players or you could also play wit an ai ? You could also create or edit the levels in which some of them where full of traps

EDIT: 3 Minutes Later I see a video suggestion on Youtube with that game. Its called "Stanley: The Search for Dr. Livingston - 1992"

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a game around the years 1988-1990 or so(maybe, I dont know the year because I was playing it around 1994ish). The platform I believe was Nes Family Computer. The game was an adventure game and was side view like Mario. You were in control of an explorer character like Indiana Jones. And you were essentially exploring various caves, and you had to climb ladders, and go under water and come up in another cave. There were various monsters around that were manly passive/aggressive. They weren't attacking you unless you were beside them (usually like slimes, spiders, cave bats). It was like a side view version of Minecraft essentially.

I vaguely remember that there was a city where you bought various supplies and tools (rope, hooks, ladder, parachute).(Maybe i'm wrong and its another game, i'm not sure)

What I remember in addition is that the character had a helicopter like propeller on the back in order to decent into caves and climb up to various trees or something. I remember playing it very little because by that time we bought Mega Drive and the graphics of Sonic were much more interesting.

I hope I gave enough info so people might remember that game.

Hello everyone,

First of all, very cool thread, Very helpfull :) I found atleast a dozen games I forgot about.

I searched a while througout the pages but couldn't find the game I was looking for, so here it is.

It's an early 90's PC game (perhaps even late 80's) where you play as a ball shaped floating character (if I'm not mixing things up) and you have different kind of objects in each "level/screen" like boxes and balls (if I'm not mistaken cereal boxes and stuff). When you click it/bump into it, it shoots away and you can hit enemies like bees etc. There was one level, where you can enter some sort cave, on the bottom there was some sort of item/key but the screen turned red slowly so you had to act fast to retrieve the item. Last thing I remember was the 'drunken sailor tune' - midi style haha.

I know it's a vague request but that's all I can remember. :) thnx in advance guys. (And sorry about my english)

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a computer game, early to late 90s.

The game was a mashup of side-scrolling space fighting a-la Zero Wing and Shoot'em up from a diagonal point of view.

You started off every "world" with space fighting and then you land in different levels and like continue by foot.

Thanks in advance,

-A.
Bumping

its an old pc game i played in 2002-2003 run in windows 98 i think...
- it can be maximum 4 players
- character shape like water drop(upside down)if i didn't remember wrongly, each character can choose 4 different color(red yellow blue green)
- the map is like a 3D sphere that differentiate in many squares; has many different maps
- the tip of the characters touch the line of the square
- players need to occupied the squares by passing through it(like circle it)
- after occupied the squares, maybe something will come out(maybe a boom or weapons like gun), otherwise the square will become the player's color
- other players can occupy the squares that have been occupied before
- at last, the player occupied the most of the square is winner

that's all i remember about this game, sorry if less details is given, pls help find out the name.thank you.

There is an old pc game that was set in feudal japan I think. It had an overarching story line but would allow you to sneak into a rivals house at night and try to assassinate him, have one on one samurai duels, could shoot others in a rice patty/village area with arrows, etc

@diablo rules:

Followed up about the wizard minesweeper game since I was home for a day and could search for the disc. Found it!

Disc was indeed '300 favorite games' by Expert Software, the 'about' section produces this info:

"300 Favorite Games Version 1.00
Copyright (C) Aludra Software, 1997

Programmed by John Wong"

It's actually a collection of mostly DOS games with an occasional windows game thrown in - that's why we couldn't find it in DOS games lists. Sorry about the misinformation on that front.

Game in question is called Quenzar's Caverns. Can't currently run it in any of the forms I have available on this PC, too modern, but for reference, this is the game: https://archive.org/details/QuenzarsCaverns_1020

Thanks again for all the help!

Glad you've been able to find it! I saw a playthrough on youtube and yes that's the image I had of the game maybe I was expecting a bit more graphics on it. I had the feeling that it was a Windows game because, man,..I really checked out all those DOS games!

If you really want to play this game again, you can always use a Win 3.1x installation in DOS Box to run it. :)
(Info how to do that is easily found. And a recommended read so you don't eff up your system...)

Hello guys!!

You already found 2 games of mine and i am positive about this one!!

It's a (kind of) platformer PC game and i played it like 7 years ago!

-male main protagonist
-it's a kids game
-there was this family, mostly an old woman and a guy (i can't remember about the other guys)
-you had to get stuff from them (at the beach, at their house etc.)
-you had to hide (like under the bed, in the closet, in a barrel etc.) and it would be game over if they had found you!
-there were achievemnts in each lvl like: painting the portrait of an old woman with a mustache
-and if you found the stuff, you had to go back to the exit
-the graphics weren't that bad but not too good!

That's all i can remember! I hope you can find this game!
Thank you for the effort and the help!!

Hey everyone!
I'm trying to track down an old DOS game that I played as a child, it was a top-down view driving game with VERY basic graphics (basically coloured lines on a black background). The racetrack was the main obstacle, because if you touched the edge you lost. Every now and then other cars would appear which you had to avoid. The only other thing I remember about it is that the command to open the .exe was "racecar"
Does this ring any bells for people?

Here are two that have always bugged me.

First might be easier. It was a live action game such as Silent Steel. However, this game took place in a city where there is a bomb threat that you have to stop.

The second one, well, all I remember is the graphics were very old (likely C64). It's an adventure game, but at one point if you go outside in a certain area, a giant mosquito flies into the scene and sucks you dry and your body goes limp and you die (it's as if it even sucked the bones out). I used to think that this was Another World (it kind of had those kind of graphics), however, I have watched a playthrough and never saw that particular scene so I'm thinking it's another game kind of like it...possibly older. I recall the graphics actually being more "older" than even Another World.
