Hello, I've inquired about this game in the past on two separate sites, but never learned what it was. And technically, no, I never actually got my hands on a copy, but I do remember watching it be reviewed once.
This was way back, before TechTV got completely subsumed into the now defunct G4 channel. It was on a show called "Judgement Day", where Tommy Tallarico and Victor Lucas reviewed games.
It was a racing game, and from the description of how the game used time to determine how you were performing relative to other drivers, it sounds like it was a rally game. However, it seemed to take place primarily on pavement. Looked like a very arcade-style racer, too. Tommy hated how the cars always slid around so much, fish-tailing back and forth.
I think the majority of the vehicles were sports cars of various types, could have been some Japanese imports in there as well, not certain. Maybe the vehicles were fictionalized rather than real cars, they never specified. One last thing I remember is the inclusion of something like an automotive long jump that the game called a "Stunt Mode".
Does anyone recall what this was? Can it still be purchased in the US?
