Thank you for creating this thread!

I've been trying to find this game that I played on my grandma's PC because the music STILL plays in my head from AT LEAST 10 years ago. So, it may have been in Japanese, which could be why I'm having more trouble finding it. It's adventure, fantasy, sidescroll/page shift? It wasn't tiny pixels, the characters, who I believe you got the chance to pick at the beginning either male or female, were decorated and shaded well. Still 2D, but the art was beautiful. I always picked a female character; there was more than one because I remember trying to make a game for each character. So you kind of wander in this group? You wind up with like three or four? You may have been able to switch characters in game?? I remember specifically walking over a log to cross to another side of the... cave? A waterfall was the background. I'm trying to recall if the commands were on the bottom of the screen or not. (if it was in japanese, then i would've had no clue anyway)It made me wonder if it was a Final Fantasy of some kind, but none that I've looked at so far match. It's pretty... Japanese-looking, you know what I mean? Like FF:CC Japanese looking.

Please help! I want to play it again/find the music! Thank you!
If anyone can figure this out for me, I'll be forever grateful. D:

I am hoping beyond hope that someone can help me on this thread. There was a game I played in sixth grade on my teacher's Apple II or Apple IIgs (I don't remember exactly). I remember that it was an educational, general trivia type game (it recommended that you use the World Book Encyclopedia). Within the game, all I vaguely remember was that you were collecting pieces of what I think was a dinosaur skeleton or something like that (if I am even remembering correctly). I know the graphics were rather simple, I remember nothing too flashy.

The game came recently to mind because there was one question late in the game which my friends and I could never answer correctly, and we couldn't find it in the encyclopedia. I want just the title so I can at least make a connection to my memory (and maybe even find a way to get my hands on it). I hope someone out there can help.

Thank you.

Alright here goes, posting this once again. It's been many years since I've seen any sign of this game anywhere on the internet. I believe it was a point and click game from the Aladdin/Pink Panther games era, similar cartoony graphics to the Aladdin game. Set in a medieval castle, you played as the son of the king or something, a kid who had really really low ears. Like they were practically in line with his mouth, it looked weird.

This kid discovered some kind of......conspiracy or ritual with some dark knights or something. It had cartoon video sequences interspersed with the levels, and each screen usually had a few hidden gags or pointless things to click on. There was was also a separate level thing where you could drag and drop characters and items from the game and they would interact with each other.

That's the best I have, no idea of the name at all. I think it ran off a floppy disk. If anyone has...anything, a name a screenshot, that would be amazing.

I am trying to find out the name of an arcade game that we used to play in the late 80's, possibly early 90s. Apologies if it has already been asked about on here but I can't seem to track it down.

The version we played was Japanese so we never really knew the real name of it at the time (although I did download it on an emulator many moons ago but I just cant remember what it was called!).

The premise of the story was (I think) that a boy and a girl were walking through the forest and a wizard (?) stole the girl. The boy then goes on a mission to rescue his girlfriend dodging various foes along the way. They include floating witches heads and fluffy gonks. He could collect moneybags/treasure chests too and spend them at a shop to power up. Later levels included jumping over steam and dodging presses.

I have a photo of my friend when she completed the game for the first time. The cabinet has BAS written across the top (this may or may not be relevant) and the final scene looks like a meadow with a bandstand and statue.

Can anyone help? I'm running out of key words to google!

There was one where you played a boy who went to get his dog back from a shadow world.

Also, there was one where you were a guy who controlled little green aliens. Goo ones!
Fist one is Heart of Darkness. This thread really should have a sticky, that game alone must have been requested about 30 times by now!

Its a gamme where u controll a vehicle that can walk on ground and fly, but it cant go in water. u also fight in air and on the ground. and u have to land on plattforms to recharge ur energy (shield and weapon). Theese plattforms are either on ground or on air carrier ships. The vehicle is blue and silver/grey if i remember correctly. if im not wrong u do not start out as a pilot, but you have to step in for the real pilot. and u go trough training in ground and air combat. and you do not controll a char just this vehicle.

Hi all,
There was a game I've played on SNES with Floppy disk around 95-97. I've played countless hours of it until the floppy broke months later. I never seen actual cartridge and its cover photo. It was a Japanese game with all Japanese text, so I never knew the title. I remember the gameplay but I just can't find it again without knowing the name of game nor any of the characters.
It's a space strategy game where you need to conquer other AI planets (I don't think there's multiplayer option. It's like you playing 1 v 3AI in Red Alert).
There are 4 groups of planets: Red, Blue, Green and (I think) Yellow. They probably had names but I only know them by color since all in-game text are in Japanese.
Red group contains the least number of planets/smallest area on map but I think it has stronger units and Green group has of the most number of planets and spread across majority of the map but has the least powerful units or something like that.
I think each group has like 3 or so commanders (I don't know what they are actually called. Me and friends used to called them Prince, Princess, Commander, etc...). You need a commander to lead an attack or defense. It's like in Risk, you move a commander to a planet where you expect enemy invasion or where you want to begin an assault next turn.
I don't remember any resource collecting.
Battle are I think 5 v 5 units and like vintage Final Fantasy battle or Pokemon battle with 5v5 pokemons.
It was really a great game. I hope someone here can help. Thanks in advance.

thanks biomechanical923 and cloroxbb for the help, those are the games! I totally forgot I had a sega saturn.
I have two other games that I played when I was really little for the macintosh.
1. This computer game was an ocean game where you look at fish underwater in a submarine I think. You were also able to have an aquarium where you can decorate the tank with statues and decorations you won. The front of the game disc had this diver with a scuba mask and flippers but it didn't look human.
2. The second computer game was similar to a sticker book where you choose a scene and place characters on it. There was a beach and pirate scene where you can place Hook and Peter on it. It wasn't a disney game though. I think in this game you can also paint backgrounds and characters and make a scene also. There was a particular character that had elf ears, long brown hair, a hat, and a sort of magicians cloak.

Thanks again!
I would like to bump this question I am looking for this game. 1. This computer game was an ocean game where you look at fish underwater in a submarine I think. You were also able to have an aquarium where you can decorate the tank with statues and decorations you won. The front of the game disc had this diver with a scuba mask and flippers but it didn't look human. I cannot find it, I have checked mobygames, abandonware, wikipedia, etc. Some more information about my play of it was that it was also on windows, probably released between 1990 and 2002. The menu was a table with all your instruments within the submarine, you would play minigames or something to earn statues and decorations for your aquarium. Any games that pop up in your head when thinking of this would be helpful, even if you are not sure it is the game.
Hi, i am also looking for this game but to no avail. If im not wrong, was the submarine purple in colour?

Hi everyone,

there are 2 games i would need help finding. Both games i have played around 1995.

1. This is a detective/Puzzle game of 2 cartoon characters. I remember there were 2 stages, 1 taking place in Paris and the other in Egypt. The location were using real pictures whereas the characters were cartoon. Its like a puzzle clicking type of game and traveling from 1 location to another. All i can remember is that the 2 characters would be mummified if they lose the Egypt Stage or they would be hospitalized with bandages all over if they lose the Paris Stage with the bad guy talking on the phone. If im not wrong the bad guy was a crocodile.

2. Another is an Educational game where the objective is to find different colors Kangaroos that dashes off to different places at the start of the game. I cannot remember what were the games or puzzles played but they were educational. I think there were about 8 Kangaroos. All i can remember is the famous quote they said before dashing off, ''Catch me if you can''.

These 2 games were a huge part of my childhood and i will greatly appreciate any help in finding these 2 games :)

I really hope someone will be able to help me find a game I used to play on my PC as a kid. Think 2000 or 2001, plus or minus a year or two.

From what I can remember, you played the role of some kind of investigator. I can't remember the plot, but I have faint memories of it either being a murderer who escaped from prison or someone who stole some piece of art from a museum. Either way, he had now disguised himself and was hiding somewhere in the world.

You have to travel to different locations around the world to find him. On each location, you would be presented with a crowd of people, and the criminal might or might not be somewhere in this crowd. If you think you saw him, you had to click on him. Two places I can remember were in the game are Nuuk and Sydney. In the background there would be some generic landscaping from that location. For instance, in Nuuk, there was snow and ice and someone passing by on a sled of some sort.

If your guess was correct, you had to complete some type of challenge in order to "catch" this criminal. The only one I can remember, because it scared me so much when I was little, was a bomb you had to defuse. You were given a choice of 3 or so wires and had to cut the correct one. If correct, game over, if wrong, loud boom and you had to go to a new location as the criminal escaped.

Someone else I asked told me about the Carmen Sandiego games. I have looked at them on Youtube, and while the concept of traveling is similar, it's not the game I am thinking of.

Okay, so the game I'm thinking of was probably a ps2 game, fantasy-like, animeish. It could be multi-player but it's not split screen. You were on a farm and you could get a pet and it follows you around. I think it was a mythical pet. There was this one level where you go into a little mountain area and you attack mushrooms or something like that. Everything is really vague so I don't even know if my recollections are correct, but it was definitely very cheerful and sunny, with flute-y music, etc...

I remember a playstation game I played when I was younger.
It was some kind of a red duck / bird thingy, if I'm not wrong. It was pretty fast.
And if I don't remember wrong, it had a blue sweater.
Sorry for bad explaination etc, but I can't remember it well.

All kinds of tips appreciated!
