How did I forget TIE Fighter? Good one.

Fallout 1 and 2.
Give it some amazing graphics, stomp the bugs, add all the stuff that was in the Restoration mods, improve the turn-based gameplay a bit and maybe even add an option to play in real time (but that would probably be too drastic and would greatly affect some perks/traits).
As a longtime Fallout fan... yeah, I could go for that. I don't think true real-time would work with it, but maybe something like Fallout Tactics' CTB to make it more accessible to people who just can't stand the old-fashioned style. Oh, and while we're at it, maybe tone down the 4th wall breaking in 2, and give the first game the same companion system (or updated version of it) as the second. Ian blasting you in the back with an SMG won't be any less infuriating with updated graphics.

Morrowind, hopefully for the PS3. I'm tortured by the fact that I can't play it.
And before you say it, no. My PC can't run it. ;~;
Oh god, yes! But not with the Oblivion engine, and not with Oblivion's simplistic combat mechanics, that's scarcely an improvement. I honestly think this would be best done by someone other than Bethesda, but that may be because my opinion of them is so abysmally low.

But there's another I have to throw out there, and I don't think words can describe how much I'd want this: Mechwarrior 2. Throw in the expansion and Mercenaries and I'd be like a little kid on Christmas at the existence of such a remake. To be honest, I'd pay good money just to get the soundtracks as performed with actual instruments instead of MIDI or whatever it had. But those games, with modern technology? If done right, I'd be in gamer heaven.
I wholeheartedly agree with this (I mentioned it just a few posts above, in fact), but one correction - the soundtracks
were done with actual instruments and not MIDI. I still have the MW2 game disc at home and play all the non-data tracks every now and then just because the music is so awesome.
Seriously? I have all those tracks, and some of it sounds synthesized. Not all, but some. I'll have to listen to it again. If you're right, well... still, it could be redone under much less limited circumstances than game music was created under in '95.
