Errm, are we on about Black Books here, 'cause I don't remember seeing an episode where Manny eats bees.

He does. I think its in the second series. I cant remember the particulars but manny is trapped inside for some reason, and he finds an army survival guide that tells him that even insects can provide sustenance... so he finds some dead bees and cooks them on a spit before eating them. And Bernand is angry 'cos he liked those bees. Its irritating me now that i cant remember much about the context like why manny is traped in the room.
