Heh, I see you finally changed the title because everyone refused to read the OP.

Anyway, I would talk about people not believing in evolution (or even science in general. Yes, it happens.) but since you outlawed religious opinions, I guess I'll have to think for a minute.

Well, I guess I really hate it when some story about a pedophile being caught gets brought up on here, and everybody starts calling for castration or torture or execution or whatever. I'm not sure if everyone understands this, but pedophiles are not the way they are because they're inherently evil and love causing pain and suffering. They're like that because there is something FUNDAMENTALLY WRONG WITH THEIR BRAINS. And I think we should focus on rehabilitation and actually FIXING the problem[footnote]By the way, if you want to quote me and make a joke about castration, that's the line to do it. You're welcome.[/footnote] instead of just employing more violence. Two wrongs hardly make a right. The way I see it, there are two ways of ridding the world the pedophilia: By killing all the pedophiles, or changing them so that they are no longer pedophiles. We can't do that YET, but we should at least be trying to figure out how.

EDIT: Oh, and if you're one of those people who casually replaces what I will call "Normal People Words" with pony references, i.e., "everypony" rather then "everybody", "brohoof" instead of "brofist", or "Celestia" instead of "God", then you ARE an asshole. I guess the opinion I can't stand in this case would be "It's OK to casually say 'everpony' instead of 'everybody' and then act like what I said was totally normal." Because it's not normal, and you know it. It's just grating.

Ugh, a Domino's opened like half a kilometre away from me a couple of weeks back and now my family keeps wanting to get that instead of Eagle Boy's (Australian pizza chain). I keep telling them that Domino's tastes like if a crap could crap but they refuse to accept it.
My sister works there, I tell her the same thing and then she questions why I order from Pizza Pizza when Domino's is apparently so much better etc etc... I usually tell her to shut up because I hate Domino's; it gives me food poisoning and tastes like cardboard.

OT: I can't accept any opinion that someone attempts to force on me, especially if it's rooted in religion. I'm sorry but you are not me, your opinions are not mine, and you need to get out of my life if you think you have this right. Incidentally if you can back up your opinion with pure logic or at least something that isn't 'because X says so' I will at least listen.

Also anything to do with console wars, everyone has the system they have for their own reasons and none of them are all-around better than the others.

Getting an Xbox 360 is fucking stupid. So many of the games that so many people play on the 360 can be bought for the computer at a cheaper price and you don't have to pay for online. Halo is the only thing on there I see as any good that is actually exclusive, and not just Microsoft exclusive, but beyond that, most people just use it for CoD or Battlefield, which can be bought for the computer or even a PS3, and you'll avoid the crowd of 8-year-olds and `18-year-olds with the same maturity they had at 8. XBLA might have some decent games, but I refuse to see a good buy as something that I have to buy an initial product to pay monthly for a service so I can buy another product. PS3 and the computer don't make you pay more than the initial price of the system to buy games for it, and none of them are worth paying a monthly price and then some to get. I don't care if you say the gameplay is different from an Xbox to a computer, because you can plug a damn controller into your computer and play like that. An Xbox is nothing more than a computer with brain damage.
In my experience PSN is just as full of morons. It's the internet, biggots and cretins aren't unique to XBL. Also you don't have to pay a monthly fee to buy games on XBLA (I'm assuming your experience with xbox is quite limited if you don't even know this), I also don't own a single CoD game and I never played a Battlefield game. I also own a PS3 so no I'm not being biased or a fanboy.
As much as I'll admit to being wrong on those parts, I still stand by my saying that it's a stupid thing to do. I'm not going to say you're stupid or even try to insult you, you seem like a rather nice person and I wish you the best of luck in life, but seeing as this is a thread about just saying our opinions, I'm saying it's a shit decision to buy one. Considering it is rather lacking in actual exclusives and not just "Microsoft exclusives," I refuse to see it as a good buy. Though my brother happened to buy it, so I'll just bank off his mistake and still use it for Halo.

I don't understand why people believe the most expensive products on the market are automatically the best. Product research is something that is greatly under-appreciated in today's society.

Okay, you know my problem is with "screamo", right? And you are aware that "screamo" is a sub-genre of rock. And as my Motley Crue and Drowning Pool examples showed, there are rock songs that I really like.
Just real quick, I'd like to know what you equate to being "screamo". Do you mean:
or

Because there are huge differences between the first three songs and the last four songs, with the closest middle-ground probably being As I Lay Dying, and if you just lump all seven of those different bands into the same sub-genre then... well... I'll be disappointed in the internet again.

Now, if you want something that even fans of those first three songs hate, here you go:

That my smoking (outdoors only) is killing anyone but myself.

I understand the need for places of business to be smoke-free, but I cannot accept the opinion that I shouldn't be able to smoke outside when automobiles and factories pump carcinogens in to the air at a much faster rate.
In the end, life itself is a deadly endeavor, it has a 100% mortality rate.

It is my opinion, really more of a theory, that people who claim to want world peace really don't know what they're asking for. Considering human nature, and the last 10,000 years(ish) of history and what we know of it, "world peace" could only be accomplished by the extinction of the human race.
Hmm... In that case I'm all for world peace!!!

Hey, Domino's is better than the pizza they have at my college's cafeteria, and they deliver all night. That plus a student discount, I'm happy to eat Dominos.

Hmm...I can't really think of an opinion that I can't at least UNDERSTAND, unless it's 100% irrational in it's basis.

So I guess I simply can't accept people being 100% irrational, heh.

Well, okay, I also can't accept that anybody enjoys Dubstep. That stuff causes me physical pain. Maybe people like music that hurts?

Skyrim is the most overrated game to exist anywhere and every single fanboy pushed people that would say the same into into the "Its a great game [small]please don't send me billions of hate mail...[/small]" The only thing it had going for it was hype and the same can be said for Mass Effect 3 but the fans of Mass Effect 3 at least say "Well its not perfect but this is what makes it a good game" while Skyrim or Elder Scrolls fans in general go "NOPE, SHUD UP ITS A PERFECT GEM!" without offering a reason.

If you want a list of problems I have with it, here.
- Bards guild quests, after returning their instruments you still have their instruments.
- Dragons clip through the world.
- Dragons fly backwards and then clip through the world.
- Some quests un-achievable or your not able to complete a quest because of a bug.
- Piss easy combat.
- Bland color palette. I'm sticking by this till the end, each area looks so terribly generic and bland and none of it sticks out. The elven town looks like a generic elven town, same goes for the human town. Compare Skyrim to say Kingdoms of Amaluar and you'll get my drift. If your going to go generic then make generic look good.
- RPG breaking things such as being able to eat 90 cheese wheels in a battle without any repercussions.
- NPC's still treat you like a peasant despite being lord of bloody everything.
- Terrible writing.
- Terrible acting.
- To many humans.

and the way they could make it better.
- Release games that are more glitch free.
- Stop making more glitches with patches and properly test patches.
- Make a interesting world to weave a story into, not a story to weave a place into. If you do the latter the place that the story takes place in will not be that interesting.
- Make NPC's notice the player's actions, not that hard.
- Properly test your game.
- Better combat such as a slightly more action game version or a completely different system, right now it might as well be turn based.
-Bug. (fixed.)
-Bug. (fixed.)
-Bug. (fixed.)
-Bug. (I'm not sure which you mean. But most likely fixed. Or pretty rare in the first place, considering I only ever heard that from two or three people who played the game.)
-Agreed. The combat is pretty easy.
-You obviously have no idea what you're talking about at all. There is no "Elven town" or a "human town". Each city (barring the orc strongholds. Those all look about the same, but they're irrelevant.) is visually distinct, with different climates, building materials, typical color palates, et cetera.
-Rpg standard. Silly, but there it stands.
-Yeah. But that would mean new lines for every title, new voice acting for those lines, getting the triggers to work without issues, and so on. Not as easy as you say.
-Opinion you're allowed to have. Though I'd like you to give me some lines you feel are bad, some are mediocre but I've never heard any that are outright bad.
-Same as above. Except there are some pretty bad voices for some, but not prevalent enough to bother most people.
-Skyrim is the homeland of the humans on Tamriel. And you complain that there's too many? I have no idea what to say. Besides that it's the single silliest thing I've heard all day.
And things I enjoy about Skyrim:
-Lots of lore if you feel like digging. (which I do.)
-Massive open world.
-Playing with the shouts is amusing.
-The new combat systems they've added (duel wielding, archery refinements, magic and melee together, etc.) work well and are fun.
-Dragons. I'm always a fan of cliched fantasy dragons. (Personal weakness of mine.)
-Lots to do. Quest lines, exploration, dungeon delving, banditry.
It's your opinion are you're allowed that, but don't claim Skyrim fanboys never give a reason to enjoy it. I would reply to your list of improvements, but three of them are the same, and pretty hard to disagree with at that, two are just wrong, and the other is an opinion I agree with. So...

OT: "There are worse things to be than a Nazi." I walked out of the room when someone said that yesterday.
My unacceptable opinion is that everyone is allowed an opinion about everything. If you don't know what you're talking about, shut your goddamn mouth. (ie, most people who ever said anything about the LHC, uninformed pro- anythingers, and especially people who try to debate politics without any kind of information except headlines.) So sue me.
Lets get into why I don't like Microsoft too. They charge a lot for the wireless interenet connectors and my original 360 shortly broke from a disc-reader malfunction, so now its a brick.

While here, yes, Skyrim fanboys, before and even after launch gave no reason to like it other then "IT WOOK PREETY! PC ELITISTS MUST UPGADE SYSTEM TO RUN!" Which was wrong for 2 reasons.

1) Bland, looks generic since the earliest concept art.
2) And most systems could run it very easily without hundreds of dollars of new stuff.

Let me elaborate to a shorter list.

1) Generic RPG experience that is so bare bones that it is shameful. If a game like Deus Ex Human Revolution or Bastion will notice the little things the player does, why the hell can the peasents not react to anything in Skyrim except for either running away or putting up their dukes. Humans have more then cowardness and yelling. You need to portray that.

2) Glitches on launch were so horrible that I could care less about updates. POINT IS THAT THEY WERE THERE AND REAL! If games like Guild Wars 2 have less bugs then Skyrim then Bethesda is lazy. After playing the Beta Weekend Event for Guild Wars 2 last month, it is a fact that it had less glitches in the zones you could get up to [level 20 areas] and is a bigger game overall that Bethesda has no defense except for their own lazy asses. As I said previously, Microsoft is a giant money-sucking whore and as such charge quite a lot for wireless internet for the 360.

3) Generic landscapes. Not much of a opinion because they straight up stole concept art from several places such as the D&D I believe 2nd edition cover or later.\

4) OK, let me point this out to you. If there are no "Elven" or "Human" towns then please explain what there is in the towns hmm? What architecture? If it has nothing like a distinct trait such as the Dwarven towns [god the fucking dwemer] feels exactly like ones done in other fantasies. The whole concept of the "Human" town is everywhere because humans are the most prominent fucking creature. At least in previous games there were more variations then Nord with or without face-paint. Also, the whole "Their all distinct with different traits" is a laugh if anything else. The only place in teh whole entire game that does not look like where Mr. Snowman jizzed was the heaven place, but even then it looked like a generic meadow.

I'm combining points here but I'd like to point out that where Oblivion took place there were more then 7 or 8 different people of all different races. Go compare the amount in Skyrim to previous Elder Scrolls games then you will see my point.

Under the thought process that SKYRIM = NORD TOWN is like assuming that AMERICA = WHITE PEOPLE COUNTRY which just isn't right. Europe isn't full of people just from britain, Austrailia isn't full of people who were born in Australia and same goes for the Elder Scroll countries, just because X place = homeland does not mean everyone from there are the only ones there. Such a thing as exploration.

5) Lore is not a bonus because anything can have good lore. Mario has good lore if you read it. Skyrim, as its own game is shit and I'm sticking by this. As the fucking thread points out, its my opinion.

6) Do I have to dignify a response to "Huge Open World" because it isn't huge in comparison to previous games, try again.

7) Haven't played the game in months but a good amount come from people while fighting, they just sound like "stop punching me tommmm..." instead "YOU FUCKING PRICK, STOP PUNCHING ME!" which is where the language comes into play. Elder Scrolls games offered a huge variety on lines that people say and each was at least decently written, in Skyrim, while more actors is less creativity. Before the lines were cheesy, now their piss.

8) Never said that I was master at coding or programming did I? Lets put it like this, if one man could make Cave Story then a whole production team with hundreds of thousands of dollars could make a functioning game on release.

9) The bug came about as a result of the first patch, which tried to fix dragons flying backwards, instead it made it happen with all dragons and as such they would still clip through everything.

In a whole. If you want to argue my opinion, which you won't change then your wasting your time. Skyrim was released with plenty of game breaking bugs and patches will not remove scars.
Name any game before hand that got about a 7 or 6 for just being buggy and thats the score Skyrim has in my book. Its not something that will ever light the world ablaze and relied soley on hype. Things like animals reporting your crimes left in because its funny is a retarded design philosophy.

Its like looking at Big Rigs Over the Road racing team. ITS FUNNY DAT YOU DRIVE 1000000000 MPH BACKWRDS! THEREFO KEEP! NOW LOOK AT PRON AND SPEND PRODUCTION MONEY ON STRIPPERS INSTOOD OF GAME!
I agree about Microsoft incidentally. I play on a PC now that my xbox shit itself and died.
First bit- Bland? Yeah, a bit. I never said it was a masterpiece of inspired visual design. I have about a dozen mods on just to make it look better.
And to the actual list-
1. Deus Ex: Human Revolution (I can't speak for Bastion, as I've never played it and refuse to speak just from what I've seen.) is a fairly linear experience. You have city hub exploration with three or so side quests each, but only one quest line, so they only had to write reactions for a set number of scenarios. Whereas, in Skyrim, the order of the quests lines, or even if you do the quest lines at all, means they'd have to react to a potentially infinite number of scenarios, assuming they wanted it seem like realistic reactions. (This is not knocking DX:HR by any means, it's another of my favorite games.)
2. Yep. It needed more playtesting. Bethesda games are pretty unstable to start with, then they announced it for 11.11.11 and couldn't really change that. So I'm betting they didn't have time to fix pretty much any of the bugs. So it's less lazy and more marketing team putting too much pressure on design and testing teams. But it's still an issue.

3. Eh. "Inspired" by, most likely. But still a good point. However, this is how Skyrim has always been portrayed in the Elder Scrolls universe so it's not really a recent issue. Generic but well done enough that most people still find it fun to explore and play in.

4. Winterhold, Dawnstar, and Windhelm are the only cities with snow in them. At all. Yes most the north (of the northernmost place in all of the entire continent, mind you) is covered in snow. The "Heaven place"? Oh! Sovengard? It's pretty enough. It's not really supposed to be a "oh let's stop and stare at all the scenery" place though. Considering most of the time you're there, it's completely blanketed by mist, most people won't see much of it. The holds and their capital cities are all visually distinct and I started to do an overview of all of them and their physical characteristics, but it wouldn't convince you and it would make this post even freaking longer. So I didn't.

4 1/2. Do you not notice the whole massive "let's get rid of every non-Nord in Skyrim" rebellion going on? The Khajiit caravaneers straight-up tell you that a large number of mer and beast races left when the Stormcloak rebellion started up. And there's still a fairly large number, considering. See, Cyrodiil is the cosmopolitan province. It is connected to almost every single other province, and as such, there are fairly large numbers of other races beside the Cyrodiils. Skyrim is not connected to many, and is a awful, cold-as-balls place to live. Oblivion is not a good example for this. Go play Morrowind. You see a whole lot of dark elves, with other races where other races would logically be. Same in Skyrim. Except in Skyrim, logically most people who aren't Nordics would want to leave pretty quickly.

5. Mario has expanded universe lore. I.e., in books and movies and so on and so forth. Not so much in the actual game. Skyrim has it all in-game, in books and in conversation with people. Yes, it's your opinion. As I stated in my response. This is also my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and everyone is entitled to argue with other people about their opinions. That's how society has worked for a while now.

6. It is in comparison to other games on the market, which are trending towards hub-based styles rather than the open world. There are lots of exceptions to this, and Skyrim is probably not the largest on the market right now. But it's big enough to keep me, at least, enthralled in exploring the nooks and crannies. Once again, a difference of opinion.

7. Haha you pick Skyrim to mock the awful combat lines? The lines for combat have always been (I hope) deliberately bad. YOU N'WAH. THIS IS THE PART WHERE YOU FALL DOWN AND BLEED TO DEATH. Skyrim really isn't that much different. But combat dialogue is a small fraction of the writing in general, and the way you put it at first sounded like you thought every single lines was badly written.

8. I'm not sure what this is a response to, or why in the world you think comparing Cave Story to Skyrim is a sound comparison. Cave Story is a side-scrolling platformer-ish adventure-ish game with what, a dozen weapons? It's a fun game (been a while since I played it though. So I'm not really positive exactly what it's like or this section would be longer) but not even close to same type of game Skyrim is. Yes, there's really not an excuse for how buggy the game was/is (to some extent). But comparing it to a side-scrolling action-adventure (thanks wikipedia, that sounds much less moronic.) from 2004 is quite frankly ridiculous.

9. And it is now fixed. Regrettably, however, the hatedom will not shut up about it.It happened, they tried to fix it, made it worse, and got it fixed in the end. But to hear people like you talk about it, it's still like that.

The chickens reporting crimes was a pre-production bug that was squashed before it ever got released, and bringing it up is... Unfathomably poor as an indication of your knowledge of this subject.

I never intended to change your mind. You said that Skyrim fan never give reason to find it enjoyable, and as such I supplied a list of my own making. If Skyrim is the worst game ever in your books, that's your opinion and not likely to be changed by some twat on the internet whining at you. But saying fans never give reasons is an out-and-out lie. Fans may never give reasons you agree with or find adequate to enjoy the game, but we do occasionally give reasons. So... Yeah.

I've never gotten this stance. If abortion is murder, why is it ok to murder a child because the father did something horrible? Rape babies aren't real people?
I can only speak for myself, but personally, I think it would be better to carry it to term and then put if up for adoption, and I know women who would actually keep a child conceive of rape (and have met one who actually has), but I am not against it. Yes, it is still murder, But I have a proposal to solve that. To trade the life of the child if the women choses to abort, her Rapeist will be held on rape AND murder charges. That shouldnt be too far of a strech of the laws. Many states consider the murder of a pregnant woman to be 2 murders, so give the rapeist a murder charge shouldnt be too hard.

And in addition to that, I believe that if she is raped, drown her in Plan B. Do whatever it takes to get it done with before the first heartbeat if possible. First heartbeat is my cutoff point. Anything before that is actually OK by me, but everything after falls under the "Illegal with exceptions" catagory.

However, as a second note, when brought to trial, the woman who was raped should get to decide her rapeist fate. She can send him to the chair (or squad, or needle, or however your state doesnt death penalty), or she can give him life in prison. Her choice. Same applies to murder (in that the victums family decides).

Just because a games reviewer has given a score you don't agree with doesn't mean omgBRIBESomg.

There are MUCH worse companies out there than EA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monsanto . Read that to understand a truly evil corporation. Gamers voting EA for dlc issues and sequelitis makes us all look petty, ignorant and retarded.

Most of us are hypocrites in that if a cat or a dog is harmed in any way the internet explodes and demands retribution, however if someone talks about animals being badly mistreated in abbatoirs up and down the country, people choose to turn a blind eye.

You did say that you were going to get hate mail for the list. You must have some degree of self awareness or ability to see what might offend right? You can pick and choose any one of them. The part about class warfare, women and union could be damaging if implemented. Then there's the part about Mitt Romney which is my pet peeve.

OP: You shouldn't be too proud of having too many opinions that you can't stand, which you won't discuss and which you will never budge on. Having moral principles is good. Being inflexible so early in life on things that are subjective is just sad.

The opinions I won't change on are:
-Torture: It's immoral. Also one of the few unabashedly evil things you can do.
-Climate change: It's pretty important
-Not teaching basic history and science: No matter what, if this isn't done the school system is a failure. Even worse if "intelligent design" is taught.

Good lord that Design the Skyline thing has got to be one of the worst things I've ever heard. Top spot on that list still goes to these guys:

But it's close.......really really close.

OT: People who believe that abortion is wrong and refuse to think otherwise. They're wrong, I don't care what anyone says. They're just wrong.
