And now, this thread will be filled with people calling fire and brimstone upon PETA, whilst to me, this looks more like a rather humorous parody, sure, it's got a motive, but hell, it's not like they've just initialized a campaign to kill all meat eaters on the planet...
PeTA are people who create campaigns like "Your mommy kills animals!", aimed towards children. And this is just an example. Seriously, anything they do needs to be crucified!

Surely the fact they are beating up a living piece of meat is hypocritical.

EDIT: and leaving your boyfriend after sleeping with the supposed better guy is such a good image.

I fucking hate Peta, bunch of self righteous a-holes. How about instead of getting mad about digital content they go help animals that aren't pixels? I bet the guys in a single episode of Animal Rescue on Animal Planet have done more than Peta has in 15 years.

Why can't we all have this simple rule, if you have a full fridge and belly don't tell others how to eat.
Funny story, PETA also funds a small non-profit organisation called the 'Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine' which is highly quoted in mainstream media. It's also runs 'The Cancer Project' what do all these things have in common? They all are advocates of a total vegan diet to keep people healthy and apparently ward off cancer >.> yeah, not subtle at all, but still, who ever said you couldn't buy an expert opinion? like their physicians' health advice on every medical problem from arthritis to PMS centers on removal of meat and animal products. Seriously, screw PETA, i like animals too, but they're still delicious. *Takes a bite of some bacon*

I don't really see what their beef (haha) with super meat boy is.
Meat exists, and meat boy is made out of it. You could have replaced him with a piece of broccoli and the game would be pretty much the same.

I guess what I'm trying to say is playing super meat boy does NOT make me want to eat meat.

Not gonna lie, if my mother looked that batshit crazy and slaughtered animals in the kitchen with a bowie knife i'd sit down and damn well eat whatever she told me to without a word in fear she'd slit my throat in my sleep if i so much as raised a finger in protest.

Fun fact: PETA kills more animals (intentionally) per year than shelters do per year.
Fun fact: PETA wished to have all the dogs that belonged to Micheal Vick put down, thinking they couldn't be healed. The majority of those dogs were rehabilitated, many now either in families or working as seeing eye dogs.

I despise PETA with a passion, despite being an animal-rights advocate myself. They're misguided, idiotic and considering some of the stuff they've done recently, are utterly shameless, but despite this still useless in every way imaginable. This recent stunt only further proves how dense they are.

Hey, it is inhumane how they treat those soy beans to make tofu.
And it's not just soy beans! Those poor, defenceless vegetables they kill in order to *ugh* eat... Makes me sick!

At least animals CAN fight back if they really wanted to. They have teeth and hooves/claws. Plants have no say in the matter. Damn vegetarians/vegans are such monsters!

Why haven't they made a game where you play as a radical PETA leader and are tasked with blowing up buildings and being a total fascist while also killing animals:

Also, aren't they rabidly against using animal products in human healthcare?

Except that one of their highest up members used animal based insulin for her diabetes, but apparently it's 'morally alright because it keeps her alive to work for the animals.', at least if I'm remembering the Penn n Teller episode correctly.

Honestly, I'm for animals, but we'd probably only have sheep and pigs in zoos now if we didn't farm them for food. Until they stop condemning kids having a pet goldfish as slavery, I'm not paying attention.

There's thousands of animal charities that actually bother to help animals, if you want to help give it to one of them. I also think, with no research whatsoever, no facts and no evidence, that smaller charities are probably better in the end. There's just way too much emphasis on being visible and having an infrastructure in large ones, and that's a lotta wasted dollars.

Support good charities and just ignore the mentalists. When we stop paying them to be psychopaths, they'll stop.

The Game Super Meat Boy doesn't even involve eating him! This is one of the reasons I dislike PETA so much (ignoring stuff like silently condoning and even supporting the ALF as well as comparing chicken farms to nazi death camps.) PETA sees anything that involves the consumption or even tolerance of meat as an insult. Why not instead of acting like a bunch of self-righteous twats you instead think about ways to improve the lives of the animals to be killed I'm all for reforming the meat industry, but don't give me this shit that anything that isn't vegan is immoral.

No...vegetarians are nowhere close to vegans. Vegetarians don't eat meat, Vegans wish every living, breathing thing on the planet to die a horrible death (Then not ingest it)
Never once met a bat-shit crazy vegetarian, I've met several Vegans who'd give The People's Democratic Republic of North Korea a run for their money.

So... I just though I should inform you all of something you should know.

Tofu is made with Calcium Sulfate... which is also known as Gypsum, or Plaster of Paris (remember that white powder you made models with as a little kid in school?) Once you add water, it quickly dries and becomes solid.

Yea. Knowing that REALLY put me off eating the stuff. Hope it does for you too (though by the sound of it, no-one was about to jump at the chance of eating it anyway)
Um.....food scientist here. Would like you to know that the amount of gypsium is quite low. And it provides a good source of calcium together with the protein. So stop scaremongering. Tofu is good and so is meat. What if i told you that Skittles and some fruits are coated with bug juice hmmm????

Stuff PETA (pun intended). Ill eat what i want.
