Honestly, I'm for animals, but we'd probably only have sheep and pigs in zoos now if we didn't farm them for food. Until they stop condemning kids having a pet goldfish as slavery, I'm not paying attention.
There's thousands of animal charities that actually bother to help animals, if you want to help give it to one of them. I also think, with no research whatsoever, no facts and no evidence, that smaller charities are probably better in the end. There's just way too much emphasis on being visible and having an infrastructure in large ones, and that's a lotta wasted dollars.
Support good charities and just ignore the mentalists. When we stop paying them to be psychopaths, they'll stop.
