My vote for the BAR is that it's a really heavy assault rifle; a 30-round mag isn't going to lay down covering fire or defend anything.
Worse, it was only a 20-round mag. 30 would have put it equal with contemporary light machine guns (Bren, Type 11, Type 96, Type 99, Hotchkiss M1909). Mind you, there were 20-round LMGs, those being the infamously useless Italian Breda 30 and French Chauchat, and the much better ZB-26, the gun the Bren was based on.

Well I can imagine the 20-round LMGs being useless, but yeah, the BAR would only be an assault rifle. Right? I mean, it would be a really, really light LMG.

Well, you can't get assault rifle since it's firing a full-sized rifle round; it's either a 19-pound battle rifle (it's not that light, it's just not heavy enough to fire a big bad 30.06 on fullauto; the FG42 shall forever hold the wtf award for firing a round too heavy for it, given that one could totally destroy its own action in fullauto) or a light machine gun with a tiny magazine and a thin, non-replacable barrel. It tended to end up in the latter role as the squad's support weapon, and apparently soldiers in the field were rather fond of it despite its flaws.

It was actually designed with a view to a French idea from WW1 called "marching fire" whereby it would be fired from the hip to give supporting fire to men crossing No-Man's Land. Obviously, even the initial 16-pound version proved much too heavy for that application.

I don't suppose you have anymore maids with guns on that shiny new image hosting account? I'm going nuts for them lately.

EDIT:

Has anyone else noticed the watermark on the images made using PMG? Because I just have. Not sure if this is news.

The watermark is new for V0.7, but it's been there the whole time. =/

I really like how you've fitted the fuel canister into the crook of that god-awful SR25 stock. It's much better than using it alone.

Also, your LMG looks a lot like the Calico helical-mag guns if you take away the ammo box.

You know, Sticky, everyone else is gonna get jealous if you keep being awesome. Just so you know.
By the way, how long does it take to make a detailed weapon like this?

Hm, I don't really like the second one because of the bulk, but they are all amazing. Just a little bit jealous over here.

That's quite the collection you have there. I noticed you enacted the Rule of Cool for the double-GL sniper. Good stuff :)

Made this last night, unawares that I was about to be massively outclassed by sticky.
We all get outclassed by Sticky at some point. Don't feel bad about it.

Made another one, the back is better. I might try a few more and see if I can get one to look just right.

EDIT:

I still don't think this looks right.

I'd say your revolver looks good at this point. Two things I suggest are carving out a space for the hammer, and adding some weight to the gun. The main aspect Sticky's revolvers have over yours is pizazz, so add some flair to it and it'll give it that personal touch.

The only thing that doesn't look right is the handguard, but I don't know if it's supposed to be that way or not.
