Just out of curiosity, how do you plan on tracking the stats? The game stat tracker has been broken for 2 years and has not been updated in just as long.

Previous Clan wars and such have been hosted on Oshur, but for us to be able to go on at any time, whenever we want, it would have to be open server, otherwise 225 people over a 24 hour wont fill a map, even Old Oshur. I mean, I'm from the UK, and I'm sure theirs some people form Aus entering, so we could have all time zones covered, meaning "peak" american time, we still dont have the full 75 on at once (Though that would be awesome, and if picked, I'm happy to lead everyone for an event!)Spinwhiz said:

All I know is that there is one North American server and Sony is not going to tell its paying customers that they can't play so a handful of free accounts can use the server for a contest. They may let you use old Oshur as a private battleground but I still can't see that happening as the CSR's have to manually teleport each person to the continent and they are not going to sit around waiting for you guys to log on and off.

This may be something that you should get a definite answer for, Spinzey. Originally there were 3 servers, but a while back SOE removed one and bashed all the americans into one server. I can't imagin there would be one server just for this competition since Planetside is so great because of all the large numbers of people playing together continuly, so it would be pretty strange to only be playing with a small bunch of people in such a huge game.

He is right, . Planetside is the only MMOFPS to currently exist. You can not play a MMO with the numbers you have, even if they all were logged on at the same time. It is not a round style game like Counterstrike or TF2. A CSS map would be about as big as one base in PS and there is 12+ bases per continent, a tower per base plus a dozen or more random towers, 10 Continents, caves, plus all outside area in between bases.Vector Dalon said:

As far as I can tell, we'll be on the live server with all the other players, as locking one cont for our use only just wouldnt work...

Kills don't make a player, especially when its the killing blow that counts as "your kill", and unfortunately looks like my outfit has been deleted or something, it use to be one of the main onesBigDrockPS said:
I'd say 5/6 year merit badge is more what makes a vet, lol. That and the knowledge about bases and command and such. And why would I need engineering? Everyone else has it, I find it much more useful to be advanced hacker, especially when setting up galaxys and amses! I look forward to kicking your arse should I get the free play time. You seem the sort that probably sends quite amusing hate tells

I was a PS Beta tester back in '03, have always played Emerald NC (various outfits, Army of One was my longest tour-over a year with a very, very veteran player named Crest), and always loved Planetside, but couldn't bear to play once the BFRs kicked in. If the Reserves hadn't been tossed and BattleFrame Robotics hadn't been introduced, I would most likely be still playing.

So what's the way to go for TR Infiltrators? I used to play a NC Infiltrator and relied heavily on the Mag Scatter, but the Repeater just don't have the same bite. I'm guessing TR Infiltrators go for the melee and shield implants and end up with a lot of messy knife kills mostly?
Well most people have adv/expert hacking and engy. Well, My chances at this are kinda slim but I'm up for it.
I've played Planetside some time ago, way back when BFRs were still relatively new and I've logged some hours on my Xfire profile.
I'm usually play as a medic, helping people when they need it and occasionally a hacker to muck with enemy vehicles and other junk.
