For the majority of the year I live in a mountainous region in a country that advocates to be the land of the dragons. So in a Poke'mon world I think I could justify being able to find a Bagon with enough persistence.

I'd go to the nearest haunted building in town and catch myself a Hitomoshi - I mean a Litwick. The little candle got some punch to him, is cute, and can light up places if I'm gonna be running around the pokeverse

EDIT: I'd probably go catch a Nincada seeing as they'd probably be readily available around my home in the summer.

I live near a lot of woods so I'm going with turtwig (this is, of course, assuming that this pokemon world isn't bound by the same rules of the game world and I can catch starters in the wild). He's a very solid first choice plus he evolves into a sort of chiapet-tank that knows solar beam. But, on an unrelated note, after getting turtwig I'd start training him, gonna get me a scyther.

Been a favorite of mine since red, Obv my ultra ball would be used on a dratini and then eveolve it from there.

One of three options:
-I'd start wandering around the local woodlands/town for a pichu.
-I'd head to the grasslands for a Whimsicott.
-I'd head down into Galway Bay and search high and low for a low level dratini.Preferably with a more experienced trainer to stop the dragonite parent ripping me a new one.

since I live in an urban area i guess it would have to be a Normal type but thats fine because my favourite is definitley eevee

Since most of the year I'm close to the Rockies... maybe I'll spend a few weekends out in the mountains and try seeing if I can't stumble upon a Lucario or a Riolu... failing that after a good year of spending weekends like this... or sooner if I get too annoyed with it... I live in a town by some heathland and a forest, so if a cant find zorua (considering inthe games there impossible to find without using events >.<)i'd either get an eevee and evolve it in to an umbreon, or use it to get a nincada, when it evolves (and if i can get a spare pokeball) two pokemon in one. (shedinja and ninjask)

Besides, you don't need a pokemon to fight other pokemon if you can do it yourself - remember people training with fighting pokemon?

Hey, I wonder how they'd react to being shot, and if the pokecentre can do anything about that.

In all fairness, I'd probably get a baseball bat, a bunch of protection, and a pair of combat boots and go hunting if I didn't want the pokemon hurt too badly.

OT: for some reason I want to go with a nidoran(m).

I'm sure you have a factory, cemetery, or abandon building in your area! I mean you could fight a pokemon but it would probably be your funeral considering they can shoot lightning, sharp leaves of death, and throw flaming punches at you
