Well I watch anime which is technically cartoons. I also watch occasionally Family Guy, Futurama, Invader Zim, Ed Edd and Eddy, Phineas and Ferb, Teen Titans, and Angry Beavers.

A lot of the new cartoons suck though (like spongebob)

Flapjack, one of the best ones ever.

Also, you say your an "adult" and then you say someone called you a ******? So your an adult that still hangs out with retarded teens? Or are you a teen that considers himself an "adult"? I wouldn't call someone an adult till then are in their late 20's, regardless of what the law says. If your under 25, your still a kid, and if you disagree, then you aren't mature enough to realize that.

Animation is not, nor has ever been, strictly for kids. And I long for a world in which this is understood. Sorry to do this, but: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AnimationAgeGhetto

Anyway, that said. No, I don't think there's anything wrong with a purported "adult" watching a children's Animated show. Especially if it's just damn good. Like Courage the Cowardly Dog!

I love cartoons as long as they are in their original language. English speaking cartoons dubbed into swedish always suck balls. The translation is usually crap and the jokes just die because of it.

A cartoon I watch now though would be "Metalocalypse", its win.

Cartoons is awesome if it's something you like like Donald duck from the 1940's

I really enjoy the classics like donald duck and stuff but everything after the 2005 is pretty bad.

Yeah I still watch cartoons. First off there are "adult" (not that kind of adult!) cartoons out there like South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, the Simpsons, the Venture Bros, and Ugly Americans to name a few. And I don't just watch those kind of cartoons either. I'll watch some that were targeted at a younger audience. Now some of them I'm not that interested in because of the fact that they're for younger people, but there are still plenty that can entertain me. Some because they're pretty good cartoons even for adults like Avatar: the Last Airbender, Samuri Jack, and Invader Zim (which I actually didn't really like as a kid) and others because they're just shows that I like when I was younger like Spongebob, Ed Edd and Eddy, Dexter's Lab, and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Yeah I enjoy watching cartoons still, but only the really old ones i.e Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, or the semi old i.e Ed Edd and Eddy, Courage etc. Other than that I only watch anime.

Oh yes. Look at my avatar.
I'm looking, and that guy is awesome.

He's like Batman and Wolverine all wrapped up together in a caveman package.

This ia a question directed to everyone here who legally qualifies as an adult. Do you still enjoy watching cartoons?

I ask cause I was recently called a ****** for still watching a cartoon on the Disney channel (cartoon in question was 'Phineas and Ferb'), and was just wondering if any other 'adults' still enjoy the odd cartoon every now and again.
When I can I still watch toons. But seeing as how the American trend right now is going more into live-action its getting harder to find toons that I enjoy (besides anime). Disney despite being the posterchild for abandoning their TV roots does have one cartoon they still air that I love: Phineas and Ferb.

I'll still happily watch Courage the Cowardly dog, Invader Zim, Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, Animaniacs, and the Powerpuff Girls with my sister since they were a part of my childhood and I want them to be part of hers as well. I'm not sure if anime would count as your idea of cartoons since THIS routinely happens.

All the old ones I grew up with? Yeah. King of the Hill, The Simpsons and Spongebob are about the only ones still on now. And I have the first three seasons of Scooby Doo (you know, back when it was pot head jokes and not teenage drama) on DVD.

I don't watch much TV anymore if at all

But I can tell you this; everyone I know that's a senior in high school to being in their 4th year of college

Still watches spongebob

...not to mention the comebacks of the Ninja Turtles and Power Ranger (as seen on douchebags backpacks because they think they're being "old school")

a better question would be if cartoons are becoming more adult in themselves (ie, family guy, south park, american dad... only one of those three I like)

anyways if this seems like more of a rant then an answer I'm sorry but I am REALLY tired...

oh; and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I think an adult using the insult '******' is more childish in my opinion. (If the person in question was an adult.
One of my favourite past times is counting the sexual innuendoes in cartoons. I still watch them, if given the chance. The new stuff not so much.

As a side note, I bought my boyfriend a Perry The Platypus teddy for his birthday.

There's the usual Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad and Futurama although I won't go out of my way for them, if they are on at a mates house I will watch them but I don't have a TV myself. Never liked King of the Hill and South Park wasn't great for me either. Apart from that I don't watch cartoons, western animation and anime is aimed at a different, mainly younger, demographic.

EDIT: Also Beavis and Butthead still make me chuckle.
