no your not wrong to say no, maybe a bit insensative to express your opinion in that manner but drunk driving is a crime and theres no reason you should have to pay up for the city to have whatever it is they crashed into fixed AND to get them fixed up as well because it was there fault.
You aren't a bad person but at the same time you aren't a good person. If you were bad that would be more like if you had laughed at the fact that people got hurt or found some kind of pleasure in it. A good person would have given money to them in order to help pay the medical bills. You are more on a neutral scale as your decision wasn't based on spite or kindness but instead a rational train of thought.

And reading what you said carefully, the friend who came collecting wasn't offended by your bluntness, she was pissed that you wouldn't give her any money. If she'd told me that I was selfish I would have gone "look *****, you have a lot of nerve calling me selfish when you're coming around with your hat out asking me for money. No. You shouldn't have to shell out your hard-earned cash for someone else's stupidity. It is their fault. However, it won't win you many friends to say so.
No, you aren't a bad person and bravo to you. It's good that one of em died. Now when other teens in the area think they can drink and drive, they'll think twice and hopefully not do it. Also with the death of that moron the roads are a little bit safer. Lucky they plow into a minivan that had babies or toddlers in it. Oh and if the world got rid of these idiots a bit faster then the developer that died a few months ago due to a drunk kid wouldn't have(and the maaaaaaaany others who die due to drunk drivers). Naturally I'd do this internally. I strongly agree that they're retards who brought it down on themselves in a fit of karmic justice, but I wouldn't say that to their friends.

No your not. However I guess that's life, they shouldn't of done it. If they weren't drunk driving I might have a little bit of sympathy, but you can't go on the pity plea. Imagine if someone was drunk on snowy roads and crashed and killed someone else they would be despised by the community, oh well.
