The girls are idiots, no doubt about that but this is about showing respect for the people who are suffering because friends/loved ones are in hospital or dead.

You should have kept your opinion to yourself.

I would have simply said ' Natural selection for you', and then slammed the door closed on them.

no your not wrong to say no, maybe a bit insensative to express your opinion in that manner but drunk driving is a crime and theres no reason you should have to pay up for the city to have whatever it is they crashed into fixed AND to get them fixed up as well because it was there fault.

Nah, you're not a bad person. It may not have been a good idea to say out loud but you are right. They made a stupid decision and now they are paying for it.

You aren't a bad person but at the same time you aren't a good person. If you were bad that would be more like if you had laughed at the fact that people got hurt or found some kind of pleasure in it. A good person would have given money to them in order to help pay the medical bills. You are more on a neutral scale as your decision wasn't based on spite or kindness but instead a rational train of thought.

Do you know the girls? If not, then it's hardly your problem. And reading what you said carefully, the friend who came collecting wasn't offended by your bluntness, she was pissed that you wouldn't give her any money. If she'd told me that I was selfish I would have gone "look *****, you have a lot of nerve calling me selfish when you're coming around with your hat out asking me for money. How do I even know you're not just making this shit up to rip me off? Get off my doorstep before I call the police."

No, you're not a bad person. She doesn't have the right to call you selfish just because you won't donate to an honestly rather dumb cause. You WERE a bit rude to her, but considering her reaction I don't think it was a problem. You're right after all.

Christ man, you practically said "they deserved it", just because they made a stupid mistake doesn't mean they deserve to die, think of their family.

No. You shouldn't have to shell out your hard-earned cash for someone else's stupidity. It is their fault. However, it won't win you many friends to say so.

No, you aren't a bad person and bravo to you. It's good that one of em died. Now when other teens in the area think they can drink and drive, they'll think twice and hopefully not do it. Also with the death of that moron the roads are a little bit safer. Lucky they plow into a minivan that had babies or toddlers in it. Oh and if the world got rid of these idiots a bit faster then the developer that died a few months ago due to a drunk kid wouldn't have(and the maaaaaaaany others who die due to drunk drivers). No remorse from me and good riddance.

You're probably right, but in that situation it's best to keep shut and donate.
Death is a touchy subject.
Hell no. That'd practically be extortion!

If they're/were anything like the waste-of-space girl trio in my old school then I'd decline, try and reminisce about the good times, find none, then think "good riddance".

Naturally I'd do this internally. I strongly agree that they're retards who brought it down on themselves in a fit of karmic justice, but I wouldn't say that to their friends.

Essentially you're not a worse person than me, though possibly a bit more tactless. ;)

No one really deserves death in my opinion.
That opinion is almost completely alien to me. We're all going to die. Some sooner than others. It is the only way to truly progress in/from this world. In my opinion, what noone really deserves is eternal life.
Still, I can't find good reason to prevent stupid people's actions from catching up with them. Maybe it would have simply been best to lie here. Claim you have no money and not insult the dead and/or critically wounded. If you need aid with that, imagine someone stabs you and sends their buddies to the hospital to laugh at you and say you deserved it for not walking out of the house in a full suit of chain mail.
That is a pretty bad simile. It's more like someone laughing at news that you got robbed when you decided to walk through a major city's criminal quarters at dusk with loads of money sticking out of your pockets, singing this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sNJhX0x7yI] song.
You could even say it's worse, since those people endangered the lives (and property) of others.

Oh my goodness! How horrible!

Their poor car...I'd donate a little bit to help fix the car up; it can go to a more responsible person!

Also, I admire all three girls! The one that died, and the other two who are in a coma. Thank goodness they crashed before they hit an innocent bystander! Also, kudos for them for not crowding our prison system! Also, for testing out our new universal health care plan!

Bless their unintentionally efficient souls.
Just when I thought my day couldn't get any better, I read this. Thank you.

So this Tuesday 3 girls went drunk driving at 11 AM and crashed. 1 died 2 are in a coma. One of there friends came around asking for a donation to help pay there medical bills. I declined and said if theyre dumb enough to go drunk driving at 11 in the morning on a snowday when the roads are bad then they can face the consequence and pay for it themselves. I got a lot of dirty looks and i was told i was being selfish. Does this mean im a jerk or would you have done the same?
You are a horrific nightmare of a douche bag.

Not wrong though.
How is he, If the girls all had the terrible idea to go driving...drunk...on a snowday? it was comming to them. That stands on the same as..."we had sex but I didnt expect the baby, Pay for the diapers pleese" No, there were risks. If you are old enough to drink and drive you are old enough to face the consequences of it all.

No you're not a bad person, but it sounds like something a douchebag would say. I agree with you completely, but you shouldn't have been so harsh to the friend. It's too soon.
You should have just declined and moved on. After all, the friend must have be really upset already, the last thing they needed to hear was something like that. Think before you speak next time.

No your not. However I guess that's life, they shouldn't of done it. If they weren't drunk driving I might have a little bit of sympathy, but you can't go on the pity plea. Imagine if someone was drunk on snowy roads and crashed and killed someone else they would be despised by the community, oh well.
