Interesting, I thought Halo 4 was one of the better single player campaigns because of all the elements it took from the novels. As someone who's read most of the novels it was joy to see a Halo game that felt like it was part of the same universe as the novels rather than some separate entity.Rainbow_Dashtruction said:I guess thats a good way to say it. Halo games are definitely more light hearted then Half Life 2. Although I got to admit, the books are surprisingly good at portraying the world in a much darker, much more desperate way. The covenant are more fearsome and much better then they appeared outside Reach, and it has some surprisingly good writing. Too bad the Halo games never focused on those parts, and Halo 4 was just awful so its unlikely 343 will make a good Halo game anyway.
You seem to have misconception about Betas. A game doesn't changes much from Beta to RC. If you liked the Beta I'm certain you will like the RC. Though I have to agree that the Destiny Beta was less like a Beta and more like a Demo.Aaron Sylvester said:If you buy a game based on a beta then I would hardly call that smart.
Or get it right on release date in a physical format delivered to you. Broke you argument right there I suppose.Aaron Sylvester said:The fact remains that pre-ordering games is POINTLESS in a digital era. The entire reason pre-ordering came around was so that people could get their hands on a product before it sold out.
It gets delivered to my door step on release date. Sure I could go and buy it on release date in a retailer but why make that detour from work when I could have it delivered free of charge anyway.Aaron Sylvester said:But pre-ordering videogames? Seriously? What benefit does it give you BESIDES the pre-order bonus, a bonus that exists entirely to entice you to pre-order the game to begin with?
No and yes.Aaron Sylvester said:Like I said, it's a poisonous state of mind. Doesn't matter if you trust the developer or how much you were blown-away by the beta, just hold off clicking the "purchase" button until the game releases. Will it kill you? Do you risk anything by doing that? Is it too much to ask?
Haha, nice. Bayonetta 2 is BY FAR my most anticipated game of 2014 and I don't even have WiiU, but I'll have to get one at some point. Bayonetta was my favorite game of last gen and I wasn't even much into the genre before playing it. I just loved the dodge offset mechanic. I'm really shocked other hack and slash games haven't incorporated the mechanic into their games, it's just so great not having to restart combos, even a block offset would work.Inglorious891 said:Oh, what's that? Destiny? Sorry, I was busy being hyped for something a bit different.
