I was never trying to fit everybody into a stereotype. I was just seeing if there was any that fit into it.

Yes, I agree that there are many types of nerd. I myself am I science nerd. It is my best subject. I HATE almost all others. If you look at my notes for science they are extemely organized. English classes? Not so much.

Everybody is a nerd in their own aspects.

But I would rather go camping or on a canoe trip to Canada than sit playing video games all day.

I don't even have a MySpace or Facebook.
My biggest uses to the internet is browsing, email, and escapist.

I'm not really stereotypical, I'm fat but have a high upper-body strength, also I'm 6' so I don't think I'm all that short. I play games and read lovecraft, but I have a lot of friends so I don't really know if I am or not.

I fit the definition of geeks that was posted earlier. Although my social skills with women have always been fine. Mainly because apart from my Original Gamer beanie, I don't exactly advertise my geekiness.

In my school there was always the "What character from 'The Breakfast Club' am I?" game. Whenever it came to me, I always got the "You're the Brain... and like the Jock... and the Thug. Damn. Sorry, Charlie," response.

To sum it up, I'm a booksmart nerd who loves games and reading. I also like lifting weights and running. I'm not a bad guy, so maybe I just look like Judd Nelson. :p

Also, Renaissance Festival tomorrow! Woo!

I think the only thing nerdy about me is my love for video games.

So I chose option 3!

I have stereotypical attributes, but not completely. I love video games, play DnD, read comics, andIi have a rather extensive "action figure collection". However I'm also really good at almost all sports (cept for pool), have an active social life, girl friend, and no glasses.

So I'm about half I guess.

Stereotypical: Good grades, Video games, DnD, monstrously ugly, bad eyesight (no glasses yet), not in shape, not big on dating.

Kinda not so much: Fairly active socially, Fence sabre (actually that's kinda nerdy), decent at drawing.

Not nerdy at all: ...

If pressed, I would say that I'm more a "Jack of all Trades" type of nerd. Think anything nerdy and I have tried it or planning too. I'm not overweight, but I'm not skinny either. I doing OK at school, but not great, my best being Math and English being my worst. I have many friends, but I do have a girl problem. So does that make me a stereotypical nerd?

Holy Fucking Necro'd Batman!

OT: No I'm not a nerd. Pretty much just videogames and books are all that link me to being nerdy. But then again the term "nerd" and it's social standing has changed over the years.

Holy shit. Someone used the search bar. For once. I dunno if I wish to celebrate, or bonk the person on the head for a necro from a year ago.

I don't really play many games, have no consoles etc. I like some nerdy things though, like fantasy novels, and I love sitting around and watching movies and TV series.

I don't have glasses, but I'm a bit pale at the moment (Probably due to having 3 winters in a row with no summer in between!). I am an avid snowboarder, hence the three winters.

I am a bit skinny at the moment, but I just started doing weights again so I'll be muscular soon. Well I'm not weak at the moment anyway, but I could be stronger.

I have a girlfriend, who I met in real life. I go out drinking with friends a fair bit and am not afraid of one night stands or drug experimentation.

I don't like metal, which seems to be a nerd pre-req. I don't like popular music either so...

So yeah, nerdy in some ways, not nerdy in other ways.

I do have an obsession over what steps I take on the floor tiles at the mall.

And I do read xkcd.
God, at least I'm not the only one.
Yes I am a nerd, but I'm one of the fittest of the group. So fit that everyone thinks I'm a ninja. So no one wants to fight me. I am a partial Japanophile for good anime. Like Witch Hunter Robin.

I wear glasses.
I enjoy videogames.
I enjoy comic books and graphic novels.
I enjoy reading (literature or just a good yarn).
I enjoy tabletop games (D&D and Warhammer 40K).
I dislike most sports and am bad at all of them.
I have no girlfriend. I can kind of talk to girls but forget asking them out.
I'm not very pale but that comes with living in California.
I'm fairly close to underweight, I'm so skinny (teenage metabolism FTW).
I rather dislike metal, except having a soft spot for Metallica. I'm a big classic-rock and folk-rock guy.
I think I've managed to clear six feet of height by now. I sure hope so, it feels great to say that I'm six feet even.

This concludes me, as I care to detail right now.

I'm technically not a nerd, at least by my definition. I'm a geek. The difference between the two being is a nerd has something useful to offer society :p

I'm not a stereotypical nerd: I played sports all my life, I have a black belt in martial arts, and I'm fat and reclusive....wait, that last part sounded better in my head.

A nerd in the sense that I know too much about video games and whatnot but the pocket protector isn't part of my wardrobe. Nor do I say wardrobe on a regular basis. In fact, this is the last time I'm saying it.
What was the topic again?

Well, I'm a female so that right off the bat tells you I'm not. :D

Other then that...
I love video games.
I love computers.
I read manga.
I watch anime.
I love history.
I love to read books.
I wear glasses (and I love them).
I have played D&D and Magic.

So maybe... I tend not to label myself though. I am who I am.
