I am Geek god of the internet... I am a prime example of a nerd/otaku, except for the part that i'm a military nut. and have a failsafe zombie-plan
I don't think those last two detract from your geekness, in fact the add at least 10 points to the score.

I define a stereotypical nerd as the one who's overweight, short, sits at the computer all day, and has little or no friends (exluding online friends).
Overweight... mmm. Very slight pot, but not obese.
Short... depends if you consider 5'6" as "short".
Sits at computer all day... OH-HO-HO yes!
Little to no real friends... *hangs head in shame*

Two out of four. Nerd, but not stereotypical.

Nerds are smart, and can usually afford to maintain their hobbies by some means. I possess neither of these traits.

First of all.....Yaaaaay my first Escapist post evahhhh xDxDxD. *cough* on to business.

I am a big fat gaming nerd......I haven't played guild wars for like 2 months....when I played it last night, an alliance battle, I knew the names and functions of the 8 skills I was using, without even looking at the descriptions...just the pictures xD

I am fat, wear glasses and currently in love with a girl in Norway, who is comming down to The Netherlands in a bit ^^(yes met her through guild wars xD).

The thing is....I couldn't be called a stereotypical nerd, I am too social and help people with social problems, like people cutting themselves etc etc. also I am good with women(allthough the ones I like want me as their best friend and secret sharer....meh :p)

Also, call me a metalhead, I listen to metal everyday, I play guitar(more acoustic nowadays), The Pick of Destiny movie makes me laugh each time(never tried a cock pushup though, reckon it would hurt like hell :p)and I am a major fanboy of Norway and Sweden(vikings <3), I am trying to get a job just to fund my mead making company...xD(work in progress....:p)

but for the gaming part.....I do forget my homework allot because of the excessive gaming, constantly trying to find new games and playing Overlord(fav PC game....I mean...you get to pick between being evil...or even more evil xD, plus look at the Overlord II revieuw from zero punctuation, he is right, and I still love Overlord in every single fanboy loving way possible xD)

So....I think I would be close to stereotypical metalgamingnerd apart from the being social.....oh and I need hugs to survive....hugs and love for everyone!!! *flashes hippie signs* weeeee xD.

Cheers ^^

I'm a metalhead nerd. However, I am quite social and outgoing.

I would describe my looks as "skater", as I used to do it and it still reflects me well. I am pale, tall and skinny.

I am a geek of sorts. I am tall, good looking(IMO), muscular, good with women but I still play lots of video games and mess with computers too much. Also don't care if a women knows if I am a geek or not. If we were to be involved she would find out I am a geek sooner or later. Sooner is always better than later with these things.

dork: a nerd without skills. nerds and geeks look down on them
see, why can't i be a whale's penis because I have a whale sized penis?

OT: I am good at all math and science subjects (including biology)... that being said I care about personal hygene, have friends from all walks of life and havn't played videogames for months (well, except ODST, but it is my brothers and I dont plan to play it much more.)

On the other, other hand, I have a vocabulary that is fairly large and I have an account here...

I guess I'm a nerd: I'm in college for network administration. But I didn't used to be that way. I went from scholar jock, to criminal, to what I am today.

Just look at my last 2 badges!. I clearly am a nerd and the fact that I am a member of the Escapist, makes me a classy nerd!.

As to being stereotypical, well that I am not. Not at least by your given parameters. Height wise I am 6'3", actually underweight for my height, 20/20 vision, I am not on the PC 24/7 and I do have reasonable amount of muscle mass.

So no, not stereotypical. But I do use Linux :D

Nah man, I'm a girl, supposedly a hot one as well lol. Been gaming since before I could walk, love comic books, and so on. Some people are truly shocked when they find out just how geeky I am, most guys I meet are just in awe though, they apparently never saw it coming. Guess the female nerds are supposed to look 'nerdy' as well before people will believe it. Anyway, no, I don't look the part, and I have a social-life that goes beyond roleplaying. :p

I can't be aptly categorized. Im a unique and beautiful snowflake... Just like everybody else.

The only difference is I like myself, my friends and my family a lot better than I like the rest of you...

I like to think I am stereotypical but I bring a few new things to the table.

1) I'm not just good at science and maths, I'm a dab hand at languages too, but not klingon...yet.
2)I love sport and excercise and I'm pretty good at rugby, I just similarly love my computer and that's the lazier option so I mostly do that.
3)I'm pretty damn musical, and I'm told I'm an awesome singer. No silly whiny emo singing either.

Other than that I'm just a plain old computer-loving, xkcd-reading, monty-python-reciting, girl-avioding, futurama-loving nerd.

Hehehe, you think that a social life ISN'T roleplaying? If that's the case then you are sorely mistaken my dear. Everybody masks themselves in a sort of role when they interact with others. Some people are just so serious about playing their part that they forget that it's all just make believe. : )

Ah, well played. I actually am well aware of what you're saying, but I was just talking about D&D, Pen&Paper and running around in the woods fighting with swords, etc., the obvious sorts of roleplaying (and the idea most people have connected with that word), nothing as deep as your post. :p

I DO spend most of my time at my computer, but I'm not overweight, I'm not short (that's a nerd stereotype?), and I have a good amount of friends. Go me?
