On that list? I'd say between Jay-Z's Blueprint and Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP.

Overall? Hard Road Restrung by the Hilltop Hoods.

Actually, I've been meaning to do this for a while now...
Being as this thread is bound to attract a lot of people going "lololololol rap is teh shitz lolol", can I ask you to view and comment on this? Watch it all before you comment.
In life, we struggle as individuals,
A fine line between a cliché saying and something original,
As if in death we left something residual,
Behind to mark our time up in this pitiful,
Existence and I'm a man of many issues,
If I ever dissed you, no disrespect I never wished to,
Hold a grudge the stress makes me act like this,
The day I get it off my chest I won't write tracks like this,
But I'll be bitter on them when all is done and is forgotten,
Cos it's easier to sit and complain than fix the problem,
But the power of speech empowers our beliefs,
With sour defeats, man nothing is out of reach,
Got plenty to answer for, all I do is answered back,
Done a thousand things I regret, apologize for none of that,
So you get back what you put in no regret,
And keep on until they know your sweat, you only get.

One chance, so I live for the moment,
I'm just one man what I wouldn't give for this moment,
We got one world; still we take it in stride,
In this one life we stand still waiting to die,
We Get one chance, so I live for the moment,
I'm just one man what I wouldn't give for this moment,
We got one world; still we take it in stride,
In this one life we stand still waiting to die.
Now breathe in

Now if life is what you make it it's time to build,
Man I'm for real aint no telling what this life will yield,
I'm a career man, cos I career off any path,
That would lead me to a start of financial gains I'm scarred,
We learn from our mistakes, that makes me a scholar on,
Being a walking talking fuck up and a better man for being wrong,
I'm humble and loyal, my friendships are honored,
A mans success aint measured by the depths of his pocket,
I give good advice but never follow it, what's left for me?
I'm a hypocrite and if I weren't I'd be a success story,
View this wide world through a narrow gaze, these harrowed days,
Seen to many men end in a shallow grave,
I guess it's better to have loved and to lost, than never stumbled across,
The gift of knowing you what ever the fucking cost,
To put it in perspective and under my vision,
This world is superficial; I'm done with others opinions.
Chorus
One chance, so I live for the moment,
I'm just one man what I wouldn't give for this moment,
We got one world; still we take it in stride,
In this one life we stand still waiting to die,
We get one chance, so I live for the moment,
I'm just one man what I wouldn't give for this moment,
We got one world; still we take it in stride,
In this one life we stand still waiting to die.
Now breathe out.

^ This.

No talk of degrading of women, no talking about killing police officers, no talk about guns or drugs.

This is what rap was meant to sound like.

I don't really know, seeing as there are no good rap albums.
I can see you have a lot to contribute to every discussion you take part in.

On topic, I'd say Nation of Millions if I had to pick from the OP's list. Otherwise, I'd put up BDP's Criminal Minded as a contender.

This thread is starting to remind me of the hook to The Game's song The Documentary, from his first album...

"Cos I'm Ready To Die [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ready_to_Die]/
Without a Reasonable Doubt [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reasonable_Doubt]/
Smoke Chronic [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronic] and hit it Doggystle [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doggystyle]/
Before I go out/
Before they sign my Death Certificate [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Certificate_(album)], All Eyez on Me [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Eyez_on_Me]/
I'm still at it, Illmatic [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illmatic]
And that's The Documentary [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Documentary]"

These are my nominations for the greatest hip-hop albums currently out:
P.O.S. - Ipecac Neat: Really solid album. I'm usually not into angrier, more aggressive hip-hop. I'm more of a feel-good kinda guy, but this album is just well-put-together.

De La Soul - Art Official Intelligence: Bionix: Bionix contains some of the best De La songs in my opinion. The album is well paced and has a decent variety, with the hilarious Rev. Do Good interludes. Plus Trying is one of the best hip-hop songs ever written.

Jurassic 5 - Power in Numbers: This is just a really honest-to-god good hip-hop album. It has so much variety of style, and J5 are just such good rappers. Awesome songs like: Thin Line and What's Golden.

Blackalicious - Blazing Arrow: Blackalicious was one of my more recent favorites. Their other album Nia is also good, but this album is so fun and funky, with very few weak links in the track list.

The Roots - The Tipping Point: The second hip-hop album I ever purchased. Man am I glad I did. Black Thought is in his prime here. Tracks like Guns are Drawn, Someone's Gotta Do It, Stay Cool, Boom!, Duck Down... I could go on. Pretty much the entire track list is solid, kick your ass hip-hop.

The Rza, The Gza, Old dirty bastard, Inspecta Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface killah and the M-E-T-H-O-D Man. 32 chambers is my pick out of that list with honorable mentions going to Busta Rhymes- When Disaster Strikes and Raekwon- Only Built For Cuban Linx 1 and 2
