If you cosplay, I'd say choose a character from an anime that has never been on Cartoon Network. They are just SO overdone since absolutely anyone with cable can get into them.

Well, because she is going to be Envy, and you said you had neck length hair, I would have suggested you go as Ed from Full Metal Alchemist, but now I see that you have a mullet. Either you could grow out your bangs, or you could go as Neebs, I guess.

She's already sorted hers, she said that we would go as a couple cosplay next time if I enjoyed it and wanted to do it again.

Well then I'd say your all set. My girlfriend and I find a nice bond in cosplaying together so I hope it works out for the two of you too. Something jsut the two of you can do together and it'll be even more special for her knowing that she can enjoy it alongside the ones she loves.

That was genuinely heartwarming.

We actually got engaged in cosplay as America and England from Hetalia this past April. I hope it all works out for you and your girlfriend, it can really be a rewarding bonding experience for both parties involved.

Awhh that's so sweet . I don't think it is a dealbreaker as up until now I have had a strong stance against the idea, for fear of repercussions, but I no longer feel self conscious to the point I can't look silly in public

We go out in simpler cosplays in public sometimes, it's amusing some of the looks you get. I wouldn't imagine it being a dealbreaker for you, it's just something nice to do for/with her. The nice thing about cosplaying at cons is no one's going to look at you oddly and if you do have to go out in public for food or something I found that most people with ignore you entirely or look and move on. There are some people who do genuinely try to understand why there's hundreds of people around in strange costumes and you meet some of the best people at cons.
