This is incorrect. Dashie is best pony. Applejack can be second-best pony.

Yeah, it really ought to be higher than that.

No, it really oughtn't. It IS a sad state (in my humble opinion) when such a large portion of a gaming community can love a show about magical talking ponies with salon styled hair.

It does need to be higher.

It gives me faith in the world.

Also, I don't think anyone has salon styled hair other than Rarity. Or maybe Fluttershy. But most likely Rarity.

Have you seen Pinkie Pie's hair? It's in my avatar. That is not salon styled. And if it does look salon styled, you'd better watch out.

I'm a guy and yes, I do enjoy the show, although I would not call myself a brony and am a little creeped out by the excess of pony threads.
Sometimes I think the world needs a little bit of bubbly, cheerful, unrelenting optimism. Also, when is it ever fun to strictly adhere to social norms? I've pretty much stopped judging things by whether something is aimed at kids or adults after seeing Up, now one of my favorite movies. A movie/tv show is either good or its bad.

Maybe the reason for the popularity is that we're so drowned in gritty shooterman (possibly in space) of serious business that people are willing to latch on to anything bordering on bright, cheerful, clever, and fun that also happens to be good? I mean, how much Batman and Halo can you take before you start to feel compelled to find something silly?

Okay, so MLP:FiM doesn't 'border' on any of that, but there's an aweful lot it's left to balance out these days...

"Linkara reference!" I watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and frankly I find the Brony community delightful. PMV's, comics, fan-fiction, it's all good; but not the porn. Dear God the porn.

P.S. Going to introduce some logic here. If you don't like threads about ponies, then don't click on them. WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND?!

My avatar is the Scorcher. He is much more awesome than any pony, and he doesn't even have hair. Its been BURNT OFF. Watch my show instead. =)

Please... I beg of you... stop with the damn pony threads...

OT:
I watched it once, appreciated that it seemed to be an above average tv show, but would not go out of my way to watch it.

I wouldn't even know what mlp meant if it weren't for this site.

I've not watched any of the shows, hell, I don't know what channel, or when they are on.

But, I can give my impressions based on the evidence I've seen.

When I was little, My little pony was a toy line that was aimed at young girls ( possibly a show, I don't know, if it existed, I didn't watch it).

Fast forward to today, and evidently a new show has been created. That show, for reasons unknown to me, has seemingly gathered a following of young/teen males.

So, I assume one of two things must be true.

1. The show is far deeper and more humerous than would be expected.

or

2. It's one of those inexplicable fads, similar to pet rocks, furby, and pogs. In that, it is a relatively harmless, yet mind-numbingly stupid, short-lived fad.

Honestly, I am leaning torwards option number two, but then I haven't watched the show, so who knows? I will keep an eye out, and if I have the opportunity to watch it, and see what the fuss is about, I will, and undoubtedly I will have a more informed opinion at that point.

You sir, are obviously delirious.

There is no such thing as " too much Batman".

But, I admit you have a point about Halo.

Why yes I am a male that watches the show and enjoy it. Believe me that I didn't think I'd enjoy something like MLP, but apparently things change.

I'm not obsessed with the show however. Probably the most extreme thing I've done is set up some Pony fan art as my computer background.

Also, it might be a good idea to stop with these kinds of threads. It's only going to fan the flames of war among the haters and bronies.
