Epic thread...then again so is the way things are when beards are involved...

I've been growing facial hair since i was thirteen, and it was able to fully grow in by sixteen seventeen, though i kept it as a goatee. Right now i'm growing it all the way out...gonna look like a mountain man

...A sexy mountain man... damn it

Ha ha I loved that leg shaving line. I'll now blow all the guys minds out there by mentioning a fun girl based secret. A massive chunk of us don't shave our legs unless we have to. If the girl wears pants like all the time and isn't going to have her legs seen by others chances are she isn't bothering to shave.

My dad has a beard. It's a big bushy poof-ball of white. He's old enough to not have to care and it irks my mom out as an added bonus so it's all good. I like those guys who have maintained groomed beards myself, it shows they care. Goatees are not half bad but they got to look good on the guy and also be cared for. Added bonus to the facial hair is you don't get your face chaffed during a fun make-out session and they feel great on a gal's neck too.

I seem to change age when with a beard, I'm 21, but clean shaved, I look 18-19, with beard, I look 24-25. I only shave when my women tell me to.

Sometimes guys look good with beards (e.g. Gordon Freeman, as the most consistent example, or for a real world example, the actor Matthew Fox). However, I need to shave often because I keep growing a beard really quickly and it doesn't look good on me. Personally I think I look better with a bit of stubble than clean shaven, but I can never get it to stay as stubble because it grows so fast. Not sure what the ladies think though, since none of them have mentioned it... maybe I should turn up at the union bar looking like Sawyer from Lost and see what people think? (Although I would have to go without a haircut for about 4/5 months...).

Major weakness for facial hair. But yes, only a few styles look good and they have to look good on you. They have to work with the shape of your face and coloring (if your beard grows a different color than your head). It's really subjective but for me, facial hair tends to equal the win.

Depends on your beard, your age, the amount of facial hair you CAN grow, and your face...

Personally I would never grow a moustache, or a full beard. That's just really not in anymore, adn it kinda looks dirty. But the unshaven "scruffy" look is a bit more in and quite nice on certain people. Now the reason I mention age is if you don't have enough facial hair yet, or if it's not coarse enough, you WILL look dumb.

It depends on the shape of your face. I look about fifteen clean-shaven, twenty with sideburns and twenty-five completely unshaven (I am twenty-one). Some people look their age when clean-shaven and have the right features to pull it off; I definitely don't.
Same here I'm 18 and with my beard and I look 20.

My fiancee' loves my beard. To the point that she gets mad when I shave. I can't win. -_-

Cleanshaven, definitely. Nothing's worse than your forehead being rubbed raw by male family friends, who are far taller, hugging you.
I can't dare to imagine kissing someone with a hairy face.

I had a goatee a while ago, and I got a bit of female admiration. It was only a bit, but better than nothing. I ended up shaving it off, because I didnt have a trimming razor and trimming a beard with a full size razor is difficult, I find. Aswell, one of my female friends went ballistic when I shaved it off, saying she'd never get used to my bar chin again.

I much preferred how I looked with a goatee, but I'm used to my clean shave and sideburns. It makes me look like a werewolf when I'm angry.

Edit:

I was 15 when I had my beard and it made me look like I was around my mid-twenties. However, I look around 16-17 with my sideburns.
