I'm in a long distance one and have been for about 3 years. I only just visited/ met her and it was the best week I've had in years. I am happy but I'll be much happier when I move in with her.

Hm, my status on this poll would have been quite a bit different a few months ago I think.
As a general rule I have always seemed to be happier when I was single, I do alright on my own and have had some fairly disastrous relationships that went on way longer than they should have so I would probably have said Single(happy).
Recently I met a girl who I've been spending way too much time with and everything just seemed right and 'clicked' except for the fact that from the beginning we were just friends because I knew she was already taken.
Its kind of a maddening situation though, I know that the feelings go both ways, but I'm too honorable to do anything beyond being friends when I know he treats her well and they care about each other. For her side I know she has been happy in her life and doesn't want to hurt him but something is going to give at some point. I feel like such an ass wishing she would break from him and be with me, but I guess your heart doesn't pay so much attention to things like selfish and just wants what seems right.
Its funny that not terribly long ago I was pretty content being single, and if anything my situation has improved since I have added this person who I am close to and enjoy the company of and all that but instead of being happy with it suddenly the idea of being single seems miserable. Knowing there is something great near by somehow does a lot to make a good thing seem plain.

Am a lonely Steve currently, but I don't prioritise it as highly as finding work.

Single and happy as happy gets. I don't need someone making my life less enjoyable with their neediness.
I"m as close as i can get to the girl i like... which is basically best friends... and i can't get closer because she has HARDCORE morals... now don't get me wrong high morals are nice and i wouldn't go for a girl with out at least some morals...
