israeli. if god and jesus are part of the same entity (the holy trinity) then they would obviously share all their nationalities. as the Father and Holy Ghost (god) are Out-of-Universe, and Jesus was born in bethlehem they would be israeli.

assuming we're talking of the christian/jewish god.
[sub]i dont believe he exists though... i have no idea how i know that stuff[/sub]
Jesus was born in Bethlehem (supposedly), but his parents (most importantly His mother) was from Nazareth. That's in Egypt. Eqypt is in Africa. So Jesus is African.

Also, Adam and Eve started in Africa, so my guess is that God would have been African too.

So here's a question: why did the OP leave off Africa? And why did he/she (probably he) add black Americans as a nationality? This is such a troll topic it's not even funny, but at least there's some good, healthy, respectful discussion so I added my 2 cents.

None and all. He created man in his image, since man comes in different varieties, he would be a mix of all races, or, alternatively, since he comes in a variety of signs and miracles, if he did come as man, it would likely depend upon where it is he came. If he came to Africa, he would be African, if he came to Russia, he would be Russian.

Scottish obviously! I imagine he'd be a massive alcoholic with a lovely, but rough accent.

Personally, I think God would be an Englishman as that explains why Jesus is often depicted as fair even though He lived in a Middle-Eastern country and also why the Bible is written in English and lots of people in it have English names. It would also explain why the Holy Grail was hidden in England and why the only real non-heretical Church (as opposed to those Catholics, Bapists, Mormons, Medothists, Communists, Christians-who-like-to-wear-hats etc), the Church of England, is based in England! Why else would God give the Monarch of the UK the divine right to head His Church if he wasn't English Himself?
Israeli. /thread.

There's thousands of pages of religious works over the last 4,000 years that explains why.

Christianity, Judaism and Islam are three very similar religions from one region about the same God, ergo God is Arabic/Middle Eastern.

That or she looks like Alanis Morisette.

God's a Jew. If we're talking Christian/Hebrew God, then man was created in God's image, and God's chosen people are Jews. Or they were, before Jesus (who was also a Jew, and his son).

I dont think God has any nationality/race/gender. And i believe that saying so is putting the cart before the horse. It is equivalent saying god is like Us, where as the statement should read; we are like God. The problem with saying god is like Us is that God is no longer god, in a way with god is killed or he is no longer god. Going off the assumption that God is real, and that God is the prime mover/creator/first being then there is no separation between god and man. If he is like us, what are the boundaries of us? Is Us only the people in my town, how about only the people who believe in him, or is Us everyone. And how is he like us? Is it that he has feelings, or maybe it means he has freewill? If so can he sin, can he love me more then you, because i believe? All theses questions stem from asking the question backwards. Now it is true that you can bring up the same questions if you reverses the question, (we are like him) but if you limit the answers of the questions based on the nature of God(if you believe in the judeo christian worldview and the bible as a way to see the nature of God) you get an image that is very different. I most likely mess up some where in my wall of text and counteracted my self and if so im sorry. All this is based on the judeo christian worldview, and assorted writings that go with to. If you dont believe and think im full of crap that cool; if you do believe and think im full of crap thats cool too.

When I was 5, I used to think God was an old black guy with grey hair who looked just like Morgan Freeman. I'd never even heard of or seen Morgan Freeman then.

5 years later, I was like, "HOLY SHIT! MORGAN FREEMAN IS GOD!"
