I'm a straight man who doesn't really have any ties to the GLBT community, but has anyone else noticed that chicks are far more likely identify as bi than dudes? I know a ton of "bi" girls who count the fact that they made out with their friends once while drunk as their entire credentials for liking girls. On the other hand, even dudes who everyone knows have been with other dudes may brush it off as a mistake and claim to still be straight, and there are even gay guys who fucked women (In some cases a LOT of women) and yet still claim to be gay rather than bi.

I'm a heterosexual male. I am honestly baffled that people find males sexually attractive. I don't begrudge this position of course and I certainly use it to my advantage but any time someone says "sure I'll sleep with you" I'm excited simply because the odds against anyone finding my gender attractive (much less me specifically) seem so astronomical. It's like winning the lottery.
That's just something feminazis and the media like to tell you. No, women don't date/sleep with men because they pity or settle for them, yes they actually do enjoy sex with men, and yes, they find men of their personal preference physically attractive. I've got lots more common sense revelations if you'd like some.

At the same time, you roughly doubled the amount of people you can conceivably date. That's pretty cool.
More like ten percent, considering the majority of people aren't in to their own gender. And like you said you lose the monosexuals that are put off by the idea.

As for me, its a maybe Bisexual. I know I like girls, and I've been attracted to guys (not just famous ones ether), but I can't confirm if I would have sex with a guy. So whatever, I just keep on rolling with it. Whatever happens will happen.

I'm a man who's up for women, in terms of what I actually do, but I can appreciate men aesthetically and I've gone out with a man in the past.

Probably because theres been more societal pressure placed on gay men than women over the course of history, probably the only instance I can think of where women have had it easier in terms of oppression than men.

I'm a completely straight male, but thankfully not the kind that has to act like penises are so horribly revolting or whatever just because he's so damn insecure about his own sexuality. Guys don't turn me off, they just don't turn me on either.

I believe biromantic is the term your searching for good sir, as in you might have romantic feelings but not sexual towards males.
Oh, so that's what it is. Thank you, thanks a lot my friend. :)

What do you do? You live your life, thats what.

As for me, I'm a straight male. But I will not hesitate to mention when a guy looks sexy as hell.

Radioactive Rubber Pants. They're the only thing that I even look at sexually. The pants, they command me.

You're welcome, my lad. I only stumbled upon this term fairly recently myself.

Theoretically, I'm bi in that I see the appeal of both genders, but until I've had more experience with my own, I'm going to classify myself as straight but also into house plants.

I agree... hence the qualifier "conceivably" ;D

From all I've read on the subject, biological male bisexuality doesn't exist and is a purely psychogenic phenomenon. Again, that's subject to trollstorm. If you're a dude who likes both, you're probably either just gay or just straight + confused (according to the research, anyway). If you're a chick who likes both, the research actually indicates you may be in the majority (the research on that one is a real funny one).
