I have severe issues with beards that come with odd hats or colourful t-shirts (So sorry, man from Mojang).
I studied a semester of IT once. Overweight (neck)bearded fedora men everywhere! Wearing colourful ironic or "nerdy" T-shirts.
OT: I shave every other day. Not because it would grow wild and majestic if I didn't, but simply because I Have very patchy growth of facial hair. I work as a bartender, and I serve between 200 and 300 people every night, I don't like the thought of them all judging me by my neckbeard and downy muttonchops. Therefore, I prefer clean shaven.

[sub][sub]God I wish I had a big awesome beard[/sub][/sub]
Well,

you trim your beard and keep your hair issues manageable by removing the monkey from your face, a complicated act requiring a large brain to not regularly (well, more regularly and more severely) end in bloodshed, death and mayhem or pimple drama each and every time. What's not to love?

If we still had barbers, I'm certain one of them could help you out with your issues, be they factually correct or only perceived to be such. The last barber I met must have gone to barber heaven twenty years ago or so, and he must have been about two hundred years old. Men still grow beards, where are the barbers?

Methinks barbers go well with bartenders.

No leptosomes in your IT class? I find them to be quite fascinating, delivering a stark contrast to the bearded fedora clones coming in earthbound, very real skittles aromas like 'sweat' or 'beard cheese', week-old stains of something, anything, wrapping themselves in m&ms colours. Then there are those that seem to be using their fictional girlfriends perfume. I couldn't figure that one out. The squeaky clean ones felt most unnatural to me. I didn't know hats could stink. Grandpa's hats never stank like that, and he had worn them for thrice the age of the average bearded fedora.

Brother, we've come a long, long way for this. Think about that every once in a while when you look at yourself taming the beast. And wish we still had barbers. Not hair designer artistes. They might also do the job, though.

I shave every few days. I don't get much facial hair, but I don't like keeping what little I get.

Of course there were leptosomes in my class (invariably dressed in Iron Maiden T-shirts, ) they just tended to be more quiet and shy, while the fedora-men tended to be the opposite.

And yes, we desperately need to bring back professional barbers.

I shave everything on my head, save for the eyebrows. I do so as often as I can, or rather, as often as I remember. I like being bald and beard-free, but it's more about the way my hair and beard grow. I get this ridiculously wavy hair that's split off in the center, so I pretty much look like a dork with it.

And don't even get me started on my facial hair. A ridiculous mustache combined with a beard that only grows under the jawline. That there, that hideous neckbeard that I grow, is the reason I shave. That, and I find that most ladies seem to like bald heads. I usually prefer to do my shaving with a machete in the jungle, but should I find myself in a jungle-less and machete-free environment, a simpleminded razor will do just fine.

I usually just grow a goatee and shave the rest with a beard trimmer. I did that until I had a goatee that I could put in my mouth... you know to savor lunch's flavor at 2 o'clock.

Now i've decided I want to grow a more even beard since the right side of my face has started to even out. Before it was a little skimpy on the right side and growing in thick on the left.

I rarely use a normal razor except during special event which isn't very often. And honestly when I do have to go to job interviews I'm gonna keep the beard, I can look good and be a smart engineer without needing to look like the classic respectful guy.(plus I look too damn young without a beard)

I found that I have two bald spots under my lower lip (totally symetrical) so I don't grow a beard but I do have a pretty kickass mustache.
Ugh that's actually pretty common, I have that and a lot of people without big full beards have that from what I've seen. It might also be an age thing, don't know really.

I shave my neck every other day. Once every couple of weeks I shave off my beard and then grow it back. I know it would make more sense to just trim the beard, but I like changing myself every so often. If I was a shapeshifter, I'd change my entire face slightly every day.

I shave every few days but I tend to let it grow out a little bit on the chin since I have a pretty round face. I'm still too nervous to grow a genuine beard because I've never had one before and I'm not sure how people would respond to it.

Rockin' a trimmed and manly beard. So i shave certain areas of my face depending on how i want my beard to look like.

If i wanted to be shaved, i'd have to it every day and then my skin would die in an eternal hellfire of burning.

I'm on blood thinners right now so I'm not allowed to use an actual razor for risk of cutting myself. So I pretty much just keep my beard trimmed with an electric trimmer I have. It also depends on what mood I'm in. If I'm feeling especially depressed I tend to ignore it.

4 pages of replies on SHAVING? Yeesh.

I shave about once a month because I barely grow any facial hair at all. It bugs me though, so when I do get Facial hair, I shave (Nearly, guess what I don't. Here's a clue, COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!) everything on my body until I'm satisfied.

Military life means shaving a lot. Bleh. Mustaches are alright, but keeping it in regs is a hassle.

Egg. Obviously.
There's nothing else to say.

I don't shave. Occasionally I'll be put in a situation where I'll have to shave but those are few and far between

Thanks to being part Native American, I generally only need to shave every two or three weeks. the only place i can ever grow facial hair is under my chin. I've had a goatee for a few weeks, existing mainly for the purpose of making me look my age but by the time you read this, i may have shaved it.

I shave every day as it is required for my job. Given the choice when I'm on vacation, I let my beard grow and only shave my neck to keep the whole thinking looking neat.

I had a beard just to see how it would look and honestly it's like a point under my lip that expands outwards before curving back up. Looks really stupid on me so I'm sticking with just a mustache.

I typically have a goatee/ soul patch combo with side burns but other than that I shave everything else daily or every other day (if I'm feeling lazy)
