While I wouldn't call the heavy the 'worst' I would say he relies on the entire team to the point where if you don't have a medic and another offensive class backing you up, you're toast.
And that is why you unlock the Sandvich to heal yourself when no one can be assed to heal you.

Soldier - It's the class that takes very little skill to play at a medium level -

I know this is just QQ - but they annoy the piss outta me.

They have the power and range of a Sniper
Health and defenses of a heavy - minus 100 health (well they cant be too OP)
They never have an OH-SHI- situation - they can spam rocket there way out of everything

The only dis-advantage they have is the slow rockets.

I see you play it on the xbox and that might be why it's harder for a soldier to kill things considering it takes console players five seconds to turn around instead of half or even one second for computer users. Maybe turning up the sensetivity on the controller when using the soldier on consoles might be easier for people. if you can turn faster you can get your targeting reticle ahead of your opponent instead of lagging behind until you die.
Actually, it doesn't take 5 seconds to turn around. I can turn around in under a second. I might have changed it way back when I first started playing, because I think I rememeber not being able to move my reticle fast enough to track down a moving player.

I find the soldier is extremely useful, and I've only played on the Xbox. I can easily hit people, and I haven't had a problem with slow fire. My main problem with soldiers is the small magazines. It's pretty easy to fight one-on-one since all you need to do is fight in closer quarters. It becomes pretty difficult to dodge a rocket when you're so close, and most players will try and fight. If they move out of the way, I see which way they are moving and shoot in that direction. If they run away, they'll probably try zig-zagging. Turns out, that doesn't work when I simply shoot in direction instead of following them, so they get blown into pieces.

I don't tend to fight in open space because I know my class limits. With the limits of maps, the most common time I run into open space is in Dustbowl Round 2. If they try to fight in open space, I start firing to get them out of my way and move on to the point. If he tries coming after me, I can simply wheel around and start firing again. Just start going off in their direction and see where they are going. Making a wall of explosions can get me a kill, or at least hamper their movement. By then, I'm in the tunnel reloading or pulling out my shovel to finish them off.

Open space is a soldier's weakness, so you just need to play to your strengths. If you happen to be one of those magical soldiers good at fighting in open space, this might not be a problem. Pick a battle style appropriate for both your class AND your own strengths.

They may have the range, but they don't have a scope to help them. If they shoot from long range, you can easily move out of the way. They have the health (I didn't know classes have defense; this is new to me) of 200, which is only a margin more than a Pyro or Demoman, who can ALSO spam their weapon out of situations. The disadvantage is that they are slow themselves, and can't move quickly. They also have really small magazines, so if you can move out of the way of a few rockets, they're screwed. And if you're in close quarters, I'll remind you that a Demoman grenade spam is just about as bad, since they can move faster and their grenades do more damage.

The sandvich? Never works out for me. I'd rather have a competent team backing me up that relying on NO SHOTGUN OF DEATH.

It's like, the shotgun does mad insane amounts of damage. But people are always like "Pfft. What can that thing do? Kill me? Yeah right." and then I shoot them. And they die.

Works for pyro too! And mangineer.

I respectfully disagree--sniping and counter-sniping are what I find to be the most fun.

As for the original question, I dislike the pyro the most--I think he's a little too powerful, but then I say that because the bastards usually come up and ambush me while I'm trying to pick off everyone else from across the map. They are handy for spy-hunting, though, I will say that.

DEMOMAN!

Mainly because he has little in the way of an obvious counter. Even nerfed he doesn't really fit into the rock paper scissors mechanic of a fight.

He would be better with one of the grenade launchers gone and more ammo for the other, as it is there isn't really a situation where a Demoman is inappropriate, which can make him a massive thorn in a team's side.

But really he isn't bad compared to some class based shooters.

Having said that, most demomen are pretty vulnerable to snipers, it seems to be a blindspot in demomen's playing style...
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. While the demoman has flaws, I frequent that class and use both guns equally. And I'm not a thorn in the team's side. As a matter of fact, when I'm doing well as the demoman, other people will spawn as demomen too (they want to be just like me :) ).

The tenth class!!!
It is actually pretty hard to say but I personally feel cheap whenever I use the Soldier.

I think soldier is the least fun to play. All it consists of is shooting rockets at everything that moves, and if you want to take it to the next level, rocket jumping.

Agreed, Chain reaction is it not?

Snipers sit up and shoot eachother, that attracts spies, which attracts pyros which then attracts heavier classes to the unguarded intel. Anyway. All classes are great as long as you know how to use them.

There is no bad class. HOWEVER, a lot of the classes lose their use once you have to many of them.

You never need more then 1 engineer on offense, or any map that your not purely defending a point only.

Snipers / Spys / Pyros / Heavys are great credits to their team but only require few people to use them before any more are useless.

Medics are great but with to many you lose to much firepower, you can have more medics then snipers / spys /pyros /heavys but don't go overboard.

Scouts depend on the map, on heavy attack / defend only maps they lack and you should only have a few if any. Otherwise they can be good in numbers.

Soldiers / Demomen are the only real classes that won't hurt you to much if you have to many of them.

PYROS!they need to be removed seriously or nerf them ffs fucking overpowered class.
How are they overpowered? They only work at really close range, can be put out by medkits, medics or water, and if you have a competent team they die insanely fast.

True, they're annoying, especially the m1+w ones, but they aren't overpowered.

There is no worst class, they're well balanced, but the one I'm worst with is demoman, with the spy at a close second (I did decently as one in one game, never other than that). Of course, the demoman can destroy turrets pretty handily, so he's actually quite useful.

If I had to choose, I would say sniper. They don't do much for the team, they aren't as fun as most other classes (it's really just point-and-click with the occasional spy check), and having too many on one team will usually spell doom for that team.

my view (i'll get eaten for it thou) is that the heavy is the worst class on many of the maps its really easy to spy kill them or snipe them. but my hatred towards it could be because i suck with it.

(for the record this is on the xbox 360 so yea ima tard)
