18 years ago, there was a occurrence involving abnormal weather formations that spread over much of the world. After the formations passed in some people unique changes began to occur, such as powers, enhancements, the occurrence effected some kinds of weapons too giving them sentience and power.

Now in the present (read as 2015), the "Changed" are fairly common to talk about but mysterious enough that people don't particularly understand them. Usually people who have powers use them for self and don't really put much thought into saving the world or dominating it, rather just living their everyday lives, but of course not everybody is happy with mundane.
(With there being roughly 15,000 Changed in the world when monitored two years ago by the PRACC - Protective Reinforcement Allying Changed Civilians.)
For every 500 changed, happy with the mundane, there are extremists for both sides of the spectrum, trying to protect and dominate the world.
But recently it seems that Changed are starting to dwindle or lose numbers. Many of which are disappearing suddenly.

With new protocol in place under the PRACC involving the protection, rehabilitation for "less public-safe" Changed and giving as much help to them as possible. Groups are of them are being rounded up and sent to a unknown facility to live until a later date first starting five years ago and ongoing since then.
It's unknown what it's like in the facility nor who runs the facility. They seem to have a collective knowledge of the pasts of most of the Changed and it's very rare for them not to know anything about anyone admitted.

The facility itself as seen from outside is a large dome, taking up the space of a small city, inside is a residential area, a leisure/business area (money is unneeded and the Changed are catered to by the PRACC, fresh produce is imported on a three-day basis via the entrance that is restricted to residents of the facility) and a restricted monitoring facility for PRACC employees. Also including a medical centre and detention hall.

The dome provides artificial sunlight and a day/night cycle, the place has been sealed and is seemingly been made impervious to accommodate any of it's residents that would try to leave.

The Changed are by law made to stay there and any attempts to leave will be taken as a crime and will be detained shortly after for a short time.

It is encouraged to use their skills as necessary as they deem it personally, though any person seen using their abilities on others will be sent to be detained.

Residential Area:
Semi-large area to the West, there are apartment blocks slightly closer to the leisure/business area but most live in the suburbanized location. The majority come to the facility alone due to the lack of families being Changed, so most homes contain one or two bedrooms, one bathroom, a small kitchen area and living room. Moderately well furnished with alterations allowed, along with necessary changes for those with more difficult enhancements such as flammable skin.

Central district:
Located in the centre of the facility is the leisure and business centre including:
- Two grocery providers
- Large artificial park
- A library
- Several specialist stores and clothing providers. (Books, CDs, DVDs- All up to times with release dates outside plus any specialist orders will usually be catered to if inquired about)(Different clothing providers that usually change out every now and then to keep some variation)
- Cinema
- Arcade
- Karaoke Bar / Regular Bar
- High standard gym and swimming baths
- Monitored shooting ranges/ Practice areas/ Sparring areas
- An open college where there Changed can study academia or even teach others
- Several specialized delis and food establishments are new additions
- Occasional events held by PRACC

The PRACC make it high on their list to make sure the residents of the facility feel a sense of normality while living there. Thus working their hardest to give it the feel of a regular small town, which they succeeded in doing.

Restricted Area:
To the East is where the employees of the PRACC live and work, it is also a monitoring facility, though little is known what is done there. The area is completely restricted from being entered by anyone without clearance and is under constant guard. Through the gates there seems to be a fairly large tower with smaller towers surrounding it.

Detention:
To the North is the detention area housing those who are being rehabilitated or have caused trouble. Notorious for it's ability to keep those with the most impractical powersets in place. Little is known about this place.

Medical:
Finally to the South is the large medical hall where trained PRACC professionals offer free treatment and physicals to all residents. Mandatory check-ups are necessary but other than that, can easily be described as a big hospital. Repairs and maintenance for those with artificial or robotic needs are also provided.

(The RP will involve one of the groups of final Changed taken in a later sweep, all alignments are taken but evil alignment will be taken to a different area at first.)

Standard superhuman/superpower fair, the sky is the limit outside of a few obvious exceptions that I'll put here for sake of ease (Instantaneous death/Powers that drastically control other PCs -possible exceptions because of the abundance of NPCs that there will be access to-/Powers that can only be described "A God Am I", i.e: Invulnerable, completely immortal, full arsenal, etc).

Although these are guidelines, I'll check over sheets to make sure that the line for OP isn't crossed too much.
Anyway, standard RP courtesy and rule of thumb applies,
No God Modding, No controlling other characters (unless authorized by the owner of said character), No Mary Sue-ing, have fun.

No deadline for sheets as of yet because of Christmas period, but we should get started sooner rather than later.

The... Incident, for lack of a better word for it. Has this caused extreme genetic mutations in some humans? Say, for example: differently coloured skin, shapeshifting or things that don't fit the standard human shape, like wings or a tail?

In some cases, the Changed vary between severely mutated to simply being a little faster and stronger. But it's not outlandish to say that any of those things can't be allowed. The first two I certainly don't think I have a problem with, though shapeshifting would have to become a main power. But, I will say that the most "out-there" the character designs, there might be some difficulty with compatibility but I'm allowing a lot to happen so I'm running it on a sheet-by-sheet basis.

Are there more of these facilities that accommodate the Changed? Or just the one?

The facility was meant to be a prototype for other facilities and it's assumed that there are other smaller facilities in the world, that's assumed as to how the population is controlled in the facility the RP is set in, it's a possible plot point, so that's all the information I can give.

By law, even the less public-safe Changed are to be contained, for reasons such as their own safety from being sought out by less safe Changed or even the public. The detention centre is mainly for those who are not public-safe where PRACC hopes to rehabilitate them, while the rest of the facility is mainly intended for use by "safe" Changed to live their lives while being studied.

How does this mysterious organisation know who is and isn't a Changed? Do they have some sort of tracking mechanism, or possibly a Changed who can find others like them?

Ah, this is indeed a plot point and at this early point in the story it's unknown how they know so much about the Changed nor how they find them so efficiently. It seems that even the most underground and hidden from public cases can't be overlooked.

Why is it a law that the Changed must stay within the facility?

This can be a two-part answer, for one, it's a plot point so I can't tell too much, but what I can tell you is that a combination of Changed numbers dropping for mysterious reasons, lack of knowledge about the Changed and their situation, pressure from civilians and violent/uncontainable situations brought on in the past led to the final decision that for their sake and for the sake of those unaltered, the facility would be the most humane answer that would benefit everyone (aside from the high number of Changed who protested the plan but were easily outvoted and the fact there's still some debate going on about whether it's too late to disband the project).

You say that some powers are banned, but how powerful can powers get exactly?

The options are many smaller enhancements that make up for lack of a more powerful enhancements, Or you have one really powerful power. Or anything in between. I'm interested to see what people come up with, pretty much stick with "If I can kill someone instantly with this, I might need to tone this down".

If dead-set on a slightly more OP powerset, penalties can be arranged to bring the OPness down.

About accommodation for Changed. Everyone gets their own little house or apartment, right? Do they have all the usual things that ordinary humans would have? For example, TV or internet access?

That's a fairly recent addition to the facility but yes, they now have access to TV and internet though both are slightly unstable, connection wise and limited choice for the TV.

But things such as kitchen appliances and everyday modernities like that are available and provided.

Appearance:
Tall, Toned. This guy looks like he has a kid, but he doesn't.

Personality: Calm cool and collected, Cid Always has his eyes on the prize, and never acts until he knows how to get it, unless, of course, immediate action is required. Cid's not a snob, though, you just won't see him walking around with a big grin. He's the kind of guy to give you a smile, not an ear to ear grin. Often, he'll made a comedic remark about something, and never loses his cool when something doesn't go as planned.

Powers and Capabilities: Less a power, more a gift. Due to the change 18 years ago, Cid has been a regular genius. His IQ comes to a head high in the 200's. Using this, Cid has created for himself three unique sets of equipment.

His main pieces are his three colonies of Nanomachines. The colonies, each a little smaller than the size of an average person's head, is, in it's generic, undisturbed state, a silvery, gravity defying orb comprised of billions upon billion of tiny machines each. This gives each orb liquid properties, allowing them to polymorph and instantly change densities. Each colony is directly linked to his brain, giving him full control of the colonies' abilities. They can be bludgeoning spheres, razor sharp blades, just about anything, really, but they cannot gain mass, therefore he is limited to what the size of the colonies allows for.

His second piece lies both on him and within his colonies. Cid wears a pair of robotic looking gauntlets that seem affixed to his joints. The finger tips of these gauntlets can all fire a streamlines, hyper-focused, cyan beam of energy about the circumference of a dime. The colonies have an enhanced version that can be fired from any pointed end they create that is about the size of a quarter. Each colony can fire three of these, making for a total of 19 lasers maximum. They are not ridiculously hot, so they cannot cut through metal like butter unless all focused on a singular spot, but this makes it a deadly weapon against most things.

The third piece is an ability of the colonies. The colonies can, at any given time, form together and create a thunder clap shockwave. It's strong enough to break glass easily and can be focused towards a point for a sonic blast.


Background and History: Cid Kayfer was never any good at anything. He would often flunk out of classes just because he couldn't understand any of what was said. Private lessons were required for him to understand anything, and even then, it was difficult. His parents didn't know what to do. He would eventually pass, but at such a rate that he was only in the 2nd grade by age twelve. It weighed on him and he wished he was just able to become like most of the other kids, nothing special, just passable. He got much more than that 18 years ago. He couldn't figure out what, but something about the incident then caused something in his mind to click. And then another. And another and another. All at once, it seemed as though everything started to make sense to him. The world around him was all science now. From 2+2 to Chaos theory, from textbook to scientific journals, from Photosynthesis to Quantum theory, it all fell into place for him, one after the other. Before long he didn't need school, and any education further was just a chore. Cid Kayfer was a genius who gathered how to equate the distance from the Earth to the Sun after he had learned 2+2.

So on he went, and, as all great geniuses do, he took on robotics and engineering. Magnificent machines were made from his brilliant mind. House workers, cars that drove themselves, Super computers that far outmatched anything the world had at the time, and, of course, nanotechnology. Cid out-shined almost all of the scientific community, and brought wonders to the world. Of course, he kept a few for himself, such as his colonies of nano machines and cutter lasers, which were, at first, just easy-access welding devices, but he decided to go a bit further than that after a while. He never really got a girl or kids. He never really wanted to. Any problem put before him, he can solve now, and he's on top of the world for it. Well, obviously not anymore, though.

Notable personal achievements: Countless strides for science.

Goals and Affiliation: Cid never saw the point to NOT helping people when he could, so he's aligned more towards good than evil, and when a guy like Cid can't see the point behind something, he's probably on to something. As for Goals, Cid wants to build for himself, and the world, the greatest city of science anyone has ever seen. Cid would often state that "When I build it, I want other life, life that's been sentient thousands of years before us, to look down on it and be jealous."

Any other notable information: Cid was born in Augusta, Maine, U.S. to a Mr. Jacob Kayfer and a Mrs. Paula Kayfer. Not much else to say, though.

1) The... Incident, for lack of a better word for it. Has this caused extreme genetic mutations in some humans? Say, for example: differently coloured skin, shapeshifting or things that don't fit the standard human shape, like wings or a tail?

2) Are there more of these facilities that accommodate the Changed? Or just the one?

3) You mention that the facility is for the less 'public-safe' Changed. Is it possible for a Changed to live outside of the facility?

1) I would guess it does whatever you want it to to your character. As for other people, it wasn't really stated that it did, so it must not have been important, so no, i wouldn't bank on it.

2) Why?

3) I don't think the guy with the power to fly underwater would need to be contained.

4) That's probably a plot point meant to be revealed later.

5) Probably a plot point, but if I'd have t take a guess, it's for the less "Publicly safe" changed, therefore the ones that are dangerous to society, therefore public safety. In short, public safety. Not too hard.

You say that some powers are banned, but how powerful can powers get exactly? Just to be on the extreme side, compare someone with 6 powers to someone with 1 power in terms of how powerful and individual power would be.

Let's see... Well, like I mentioned it goes on a sheet by sheet basis, if anything is too powerful I'll bring it up and ask for some adjustments. Even if it means that they can have that powerset so long as it's detrimental to the character to make up for it, I.E: Using the power for too long will cause pain/needs time to recharge/could eventually lead to the character's death if overused etc.

But for comparisons:
A character with many enhancements taken from Enhanced Condition [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Enhanced_Condition] will be equal to a character with one or two powers from Tormentor [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Tormentor]. It's a little difficult to explain, so I'll apologize if this is awkward to understand, but I hope I've explained it well enough.

He wears nothing but red shirts with sleeves going way past his hands, green cargo pants, tennis shoes and monkey ear hats. His eyes are a striking blue and his skin is very pale. He walks in an unaware and out there manner, seeming to be high though he is actually just lives in a world of his own. He is secretly pretty smart, but often forgets or is simply put down by his absent mindedness.
Personality: A fun and cheerful guy. He wants to make friends with everyone but is bored easily and will simply move on if he feels like it. He is never aware of any present danger and never talks about sad things. He is very wealthy but never brings money with him.

1. Undeniable insane ridiculous luck: He has unexplainable luck, when people try and hit him they bonk their heads on ceilings, if he is in a combat zone all the bullets on the planet somehow miss. If he is captured, the guards all go out drinking and leave his cage unlocked. He sometimes gets lucky with attacks too, occasionally throwing rocks or baseballs and landing in the exact perfect weak point to cripple an enemy, but this is very rare.

Background and History (Where do you come from? What makes you tick?)(Were you born with your powers or did the incident bestow them onto you?): While he was always lucky in his past, the "change" only amplified this unnatural luck and seems to have made it undeniable. He has walked out of casinos with the entire house's cash, wandered in and out of prisons and generally just been something to make one question life. He is pretty famous, though nobody really can tell what he looks like and just speaks of an insanely lucky guy. He was at some point rounded up to be executed, but he walked out of the guard's capture van and nobody seemed to notice him leaving.
Notable personal achievements (Things you have done that are important to you, be they good or bad): None aside from win tons of money at casinos and escape inescapable fortresses without even being aware he was in one.

Appearance:

He is a fit dog, and wears his old pink collar, though the tags removed.
Personality: He has somewhat of a dogs brain, though his old 'master' was very big into literature. As thus, he is rather eloquent when he wishes to be. He likens himself to Fenrir, the wolf destined to kill Odin. Naturally, he likes humans more than his namesake, and he absolutely LOVES their treats.

Powers and Capabilities: He can talk in any language, is faster than other dogs, and strong enough to sever a leg with a few bites. Other than that, simple dog abilities.

Background and History: He really can't say he's HAD much of a history. All he remembers are some walks, the dreaded spray bottle, and more than a thousand compliments about how 'cute' he is. Still, he does remember his escape. He waited patiently for his master to leave, then bolted out the door, faster than he was used to. He found out that on the street, food doesn't come to you, so he found humans again. They sent him to the pound, where he spent his days until now, with his big move to the Facility. All it took was single quote from Shakespeare to move up in the world, who knew?
Notable personal achievements: He one stared down a cat. He was very proud of himself.

Goals and Affiliation: He simply wants to find and protect his masters, and being leader of the animals doesn't sound too bad...

Personality: An enigma wrapped in a mystery, Pet Rock's secrets have secrets. A staunch ally and a faithful friend, but not very talkative to anyone but those closest to it. The clinically insane tend to have an easier time facilitating communication than others.

Apparently of a heroic spirit, and noble. Willing to put its life on the line in dangerous, even life-threatening situations when others would quake in their boots.

It is also proven to be quite the chessmaster, always in just the right place at just the right time.

Powers and Capabilities: Pet Rock's powers are as vast as they are mystifying. No one has ever seen it move or take any action whatsoever. But at the last possible moment, it is always found to be precisely where it must be to completely dismantle a villain's scheme, be it falling from the ceiling to smash a priceless artifact, or inexplicably appearing, just off-screen, and right on top of the self destruct button to the villain's lair.

Background and History : Much speculation surrounds the origin of Pet Rock. Some suggest that it is the sole surviving fragment of a long-dead, alien world much like our own. Others ponder if it is the prophecied ruler of the ancient sunken kingdom of Rocklantis, here to bridge the gap between man and stone. Still others suggest that Pet Rock is in fact the physical manifestation of the Earth Goddess, Gaia, come to wreak vengeance for our misuse of nature.

The truth is, no one knows. Pet Rock has come out from the darkness, with no warning. But he has proven time and again, that he is here to help.

When the last group of 'Changed' was brought to the facility, Pet Rock was among them. No one recalled bringing it onto the ship, and none present could imagine how it managed to be buckled into one of the seats. It was simply there. It simply was.

Notable personal achievements: Managed to show up to the facility.

All present in the facility deny being behind Pet Rock's movements. Pet Rock, based on the locations he is spotted in most often, still appears to travel at least two miles every 24 hours.

Prior to relocation to the facility, Pet Rock was onboard Flight-138765432, destined for Guatemala, in the year 2014. Two hijackers took control of the plane, knocking the pilots unconscious and redirecting the plane toward Mexico City. There, they planned to crash the plane and assassinate most of the Mexican government in the process. En route, the plane hit a pocket of extreme turbulence, and Pet Rock sprung into action. Launching from the back of the plane, Pet Rock ricocheted into the cabin, smashing into the skulls of both hijackers and killing them on the spot. Its velocity lessened from the first two impacts, Pet Rock then struck the pilots, waking them and allowing them to free themselves, taking control of the plane and landing it safely.

Pet Rock is regarded as a Mexican National Hero for its brave actions.

His normal dress is that of a Blue Sport Coat with brown elbow pads, a white dress shirt and a blue bow tie. This is accompanied with blue jeans and tan loafers.

Personality: David is a kind and caring fatherly man. He cares a great deal about people in general. He is always trying to help those in need weather its with his extraordinary abilities or his ordinary ones. He has a deep love of history, it is his believe that it is truly important to know how the past creates the future. It is his hope that through study of the past, good deeds, and a positive attitude tomorrow will be better then today

Powers and Capabilities : After the incident David found that he was able to grow extremely big, he has full control over how big he makes himself. On the same note he is also able to shrink down in much the same fashion. He also has a form of laser based projectiles from his eyes. David also possess a strange forth power, When he changes size any clothing he is wearing grows or shrinks with him, including his wallet.

Background and History:
David grew up in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on the eastern coat of the United States. His life before The Incident was a good life, full of good friends and family. He always loved history, so when it came time to chose his path in life he became a History teacher, after years of school of course. David being the young buck he was, 24, when he started teaching he was so full of new ideas and innovative was of teaching history to the young people of his class. So it goes that as he was enjoying his first successful year as a history teach The Incident happened.

The thing is though that this really didn't change much for David Gold, he still got dressed everyday, and went to work teaching the future leaders of tom morrow. Slowly though things did change, not for the worse mind you, David was not secretive about being one of the Changed, and so he became the teacher that the Changed students would go to if the were having trouble powers or not.

Five years ago David Gold's life changed substantially, as part of the new safety protocols the PRACC, went to retrieve David, for the purpose of relocating him to the Domed City. It was during this move to his new home, that the PRACC offered him a position at the newly opened university during his stay in the facility. He gladly accepted the opening at the University as a History Professor where it was his belief that by teaching to the students inside the dome he may be able to do the most good for those young people truly in need.

He is a fit dog, and wears his old pink collar, though the tags removed.
Personality: He has somewhat of a dogs brain, though his old 'master' was very big into literature. As thus, he commands is rather eloquent when he wishes to. Powers and Capabilities: He can talk in any language, is faster than other dogs, and strong enough to sever a leg with a few bites.

Background and History: He really can't say he's HAD much of a history. All he remembers are some walks, the dreaded spray bottle, and more than a thousand compliments about how 'cute' he is. Still, he does remember his escape. He waited patiently for his master to leave, then bolted out the door, faster than he was used to. He found out that on the street, food doesn't come to you, so he found humans again. They sent him to the pound, where he spent his days until now, with his big move to the Facility. All it took was single quote from Shakespeare to move up in the world, who knew?
Notable personal achievements: He one stared down a cat. He was very proud of himself.

Goals and Affiliation: He simply wants to find and protect his masters, and being leader of the animals doesn't sound too bad...

Appearance: Ajax's most comfortable, for whatever reason, form is a pleasant-looking, middle-aged Caucasian man, roughly 5'8?, with slightly graying brown hair and ordinary brown eyes. Due to the nature of his power, this is not a hard and fast rule, though it is the appearance he shows others. (He's slowly losing all memory of his original appearance, and this is cause for great concern to him. He is a short, thin man of Greek descent, with curly light brown hair and darker brown eyes. He rarely takes on this form, however.) He is fond of more formal clothes, rarely wearing anything but suits in public.
Personality: Warm, friendly and all-around nice on the surface, though he is a petty schemer underneath. He sometimes grows attached to others, but not especially often. He has occasional bouts of extreme melancholy, during which he is prone to step up his scheming.
When not among others, he is generally a quiet, peaceful person given over to quiet reading, cooking and other such painfully boring endeavors.


Powers and Capabilities: Ajax can control his appearance, without respect to age or gender. However, his power is limited to human appearance, so he can't take on an animalistic appearance, nor can he instantly regenerate. He is not, however, limited by mass, though he finds the experience of either spontaneously producing or removing mass very unpleasant. His clothes are also under his control, which he finds very helpful, though they revert to their original state if removed. Controlling his clothing is tiring, and he has trouble keeping it exact for longer than an hour.

Ajax is also supernaturally persuasive, both from an actual power and from a long lifetime of grifting. However, if someone is on guard against this ability, it will fail to have any effect, allowing it to be easily circumvented. He can convince people to do things they're not especially willing to do, but nothing they actively refuse to do, or hold deep beliefs against.



Background and History: Ajax is a second generation American immigrant, his parents having come from Greece the year after they married. He grew up in Washington, D.C., his father being a political lobbyist for various companies. Ajax found both his mother and father completely insufferable, and so left home at only 15. He drifted for a while, taking up oddjobs here and there. Eventually, he found himself in the Florida panhandle, in Destin. He found the balmy city to his liking, and set up there. He became a scam artist, doing anything he could think of to get people to open their wallets. He was fairly successful at this, starting something of a minor criminal empire in the panhandle before even a year had passed. During this time he went under the pseudonym Jack, which he still has a penchant for using when he doesn't want to reveal his real name.
And then the Incident struck. In an unrelated event, the local government cracked down on his little enterprise. He was sold out by a close friend, and went into hiding. There he discovered his ability to change his appearance, and used this to flee. He has never set up a major operation since, only drifting around separating people from their hard-earned cash. After so many years of this, he still only sizes people up on how good of a mark they would be, even in the closed-off dome.
He was picked up by PRACC under mysterious circumstances. He didn't know how they had found him, but it was obvious he wasn't going to be allowed to go on like he had been. So he found himself in the dome.


Notable personal achievements: Ajax doesn't consider much of anything he's done especially noteworthy. He had considered his Destin enterprise very notable, but its spectacular end means that he doesn't often think about it. His life has been one long string of petty scams, nothing major.


Goals and Affiliation: Ajax is selfish, first and foremost. He doesn't want to rule the world, nor does he want anyone else to rule it, however. Mostly, he just works for his own gain and ignores anything else. He will use his powers as much as he needs to to get what he wants, and sees them as nothing but tools.


Any other notable information: Despite his criminal proclivities, he never begrudges being captured. "It's a fair cop." is a common phrase for him, when caught. He likes law enforcement, generally, and finds them easy to manipulate if they aren't wary. Despite this, he finds politicians insufferable and will go to great lengths to embarrass or avoid any he comes across.
Greek scam artist with shapeshifting abilities? It's almost cliché.

Gender: He thinks it's male, though the whole thing looks rather indistinguishable nowadays.
Age: 46 at death, 8 years of slumber, 72 counting undead years.

Appearance: John is dead, so his skin tone had gotten the worst of it. He's pale-blue-ish, with a bit of purple at the edges. He's 6'2 feet tall and weighs much less than expected, without the need for working internal organs to do all of the work to keep him alive. Instead what's inside of him is this strange black goo. He often prefers to walk in the nude, but since decency demands him he wears whatever piece of cloth he managed to steal off a laundry line. His dead eyes had long lost color, retaining a grey tinge.

Personality: That Dead Guy is mostly curious. He's always interested in the past and what happened before he opened his eyes, an obsession that would turn him towards studying history and the world around him. He yearns for a normal life, with a wife and two kids, in a two story brick house and a white fence? but all that can never come true. He's frustrated he can never find a place for himself everywhere he turns to, as every person he meets first tries to kill him.

Undead Physiology. Dead guy is? dead. To be honest, the years had only benefited him. He has no human physical needs, feels no pain nor does he bleed. The downside of this is that damage done to his body is permanent unless fixed by consuming human flesh? I'm fucking with you, he can regenerate pretty well without any unnecessary carnage.

What makes you tick?)(Were you born with your powers or did the incident bestow them onto you?): John was born 18 years ago, when the occurrence happened. He was only a wee little corpse of a previously dead man in his mid-40s who seemed to be very unlucky on the road. From the moment when he broke away from his tomb-like prison and started wandering around the neighborhood up to now, nobody had shown him any warm human emotion? except for rage. Lots and lots of rage, and lets not forget fear.

Due to his? unexplained situation, John has no place to call home. He often runs from anyone that's on his trail while trying to make the most of his pitiful existence. He had been bouncing from city to city, town to town for the past 18 years. Some had been a home for months, while others were just short rests between running away from pitchfork wielding lunatics.
Notable personal achievements (Things you have done that are important to you, be they good or bad): Staying alive.. the irony doesn't escape John.

John would like to settle down one of these days and start his own life. Meet a nice girl, get married, have some kids? trouble is that whenever he goes to he's always chased off with threats of murder. How could you kill what's already dead? Besides that, John wants to study World History and since he has all of the time in the world (He's dead, after all) he could theoretically know it all within his lifetime.

Full name: Revis Lysander
Nickname (Optional): Usually just called Revis, sometimes Rev, and only his sister is allowed to call him Revy.
Gender: Male

Appearance (Description and/or images are fine): Revis stands at a relatively tall 6"1', he has a light skin tone, and due to his powers his sort of shaggy, medium length spiky hair had turned a grey-white color. He has a slightly gaunt, stern looking face, and his eyes are a sort of deep maroon color. He is sort of lean, but not too far from average, with relatively toned muscles, not buff as hell, but the muscles of a runner or a swimmer. His left arm appears like a sort of strange mechanical device made out of some kind of black metal, a large red circle resides on the back of the hand. He normally keep this arm under a sleeve either as a part of his coat, or an attached sleeve for when he isn't wearing anything sleeved. His normal attire is a long coat, with a very vibrant red being it's main color, but black and gold embellishments and fringes here and there. The sleeves have a part only on their top that ends just halfway over his hands. Under it is a black shirt with three red belts. He keeps a black glove over his completely normal right hand. He also wears long baggy black pants accentuated with a belt. Th large silver buckle has the word "Free" etched into it. He wears a set of black men's boots with steel toes.

Personality: Rev is usually in a bad mood. He doesn't really care for anyone other than his missing younger sister, and treats most others with disdain. He is sardonic, rude, and abrasive to anyone he comes across. He is also quick to anger, stubborn, and never misses a chance to use as much vulgar language as possible. Revis does care for the well being of others though, something his younger sister made absolutely sure of. He keeps any promises he makes, which is a rare sight in itself, and he has a sort of unyielding will. If he wants something he won't stop pursuing it even if it kills him, and once he has made a goal he chases after it almost obsessively. At face value some of his actions could be seen as evil or criminal. He doesn't care a great deal about appearing like a good person though. Above all he values the freedom of him and his sister, she being the only thing he had left in the world.

What are your limits? How do you function?): The Umbra Void Revanant; his left arm was replaced by this twisted thing of unknown origin due to his powers awakening. It has given his body enhanced speed, strength and durability, but it remains his main attraction, the arm can twist and form into a horrible appendage made of pure Umbra and do a variety of things such as absorbing an enemy's life force, being horribly caustic and burning to things that aren't Revis, and it holds a number of other tricks and capabilities. The arm can also generate a large "sword" for use is his right arm, being used by his less dominant arm his moves with it are more blunt and unskilled.

Background and History (Where do you come from? What makes you tick?)(Were you born with your powers or did the incident bestow them onto you?): Revis always seemed rather ordinary on the whole power spectrum, he had white hair and weird colored eyes after his third birthday (when the incident happened to occur), but nothing else of relative interest, his weird traits often getting him bullied and causing his parents to be detached from him. When his sister was born she was much more "Gifted" than him she shared his physical appearance changes, but she also had the power to perceive things at an enhanced level, and she could create and manipulate things made of a special sort of darkness or shadow. Their parents, not wanting such abominations to be tied to them abandoned them when Revis was thirteen and his sister turned ten.

From that moment in time, the abandonment by his parents, and the years or bullying and torment had made Revis a rather Jaded and Cynical person who could no longer see the good in anyone. He thought of himself a freak, but grew to love his sister greatly. She was special, like him, more special in fact. She was the only one he considered family, and he vowed to protect her even if he was really just ordinary. His sister, Nyxa was the opposite of her brother, she loved life and always looked for the good in people and their situation. She was always trying to cheer her brother up and would often be the only thing to even make half a smile come across his face. She wanted to help people with her powers, but when she did she was often reminded of what the world had thought of them, but kindness was more important than that to her. The two siblings lived happily for a long time.

Then, one day the PRACC took his sister from their current (temporary) home one night, (when he was eighteen and she was sixteen,) after easily subduing him, and leaving him all alone in the world since he wasn't enough of a "Changed" as they called it. This devastated him, but he was able to endure it when he got his first letter from his sister. He kept his hopes up and continued living, exchanging letters with her all the time. It was hell for him, but he could grin and bare it. Then, during their second year away from each other, a significantly strange letter asking him for help came, after that she stopped writing all together.

In his usual style, he jumped to the worst conclusion and travelled to the facility where he was promptly denied entrance after failing to demonstrate what he could do. He then shouted "I'll show you what I can do all right!" and began causing a scene with a tire iron and they promptly beat him to a pulp and removed his left arm during the fight. Broken, angry, and filled with hatred he collapsed a short distance away from the facility out of strength and lacking the will to go on. that was when he first heard it deep within, a calling. Something buried deep longing to escape. He managed to stand, and he defiantly screamed "Power, give me more power!" and something within he screamed in unison. There was a great pain in the stump where his left arm used to be and something sprang forth. Something made of darkness and metal. It was a new arm. New powers. New possibilities.

With his new gift, and a sudden revival of his will he went back to the guards who dispatched them and killed them in a grotesque and horrifying way with that arm of his. and proceeded to destroy everything in sight, damaging a large number of objects, killing several more guards, and damaging one of the facilities with his bottomless rage and destructive gift. During his self entitled "Fuck shit up parade." He continued his search for his sister, but couldn't find a trace of her. He was caught unaware by several other changed and a team of guards, and was violently subdued. he's been in the Center for almost a year now, causing trouble and having extensive stints in the detention facility every time he goes looking for Nyxa. He made a vow. He won't let his entire world be taken away from him completely.

"I WILL find her... Even if I have to tear everything down to do it... She wants me to be virtuous, but I'm more of an avenger anyway... Sorry Sis, you'll have to be saved by a bad guy."

Notable personal achievements (Things you have done that are important to you, be they good or bad): Getting to the PRACC Center, creating a great deal of damage to one of the facilities upon his entrance.

Because of his sister he has a very vague goal of being a "good guy", but he doesn't grasp the concepts and usually looks like a bad guy or a delinquent in the process.

He has had a number of odd jobs over the years. He can't stand drugs or alcohol, and he secretly enjoys reading. His obsessive fascination with his sister often earns him some turned heads, and many question the exact details of his "Brotherly love".
