Appearance: Mutation has ravaged Elliot's body. His skin is thick and strong and a dark gray color, with pink and dark red splotches along his sides and back. He is hairless, lacking facial hair, eyebrows, head hair, or body hair of any kind.

His body is slender, corded with muscle, and obviously inhuman, his proportions all wrong with his limbs spindly and far too long for his body length, his ears sunken in and barely present, his teeth long and sharp. He has six fingers and toes on each hand and foot, each tipped with inch-long retractable claws. Most often Elliot is naked or clad in scavenged clothing - due to his monstrous appearance, it's rare that he's able to even get clothes.

Personality: Elliot is a broken individual, and at this point is most likely somewhat insane from isolation and abuse. His primary focus at this point is survival at any cost, surviving long enough to get his next meal - from wherever that may come from. He has few limits now, and the idea of dining on human flesh - while it may have once been disgusting to him - is now an acceptable idea to him.

Powers and Capabilities: The same mutation that turned Elliot into a horrifying monster has also granted him considerable abilities. His body is far stronger, tougher, and faster than any normal Human being, capable of punching hard enough to dent car doors, leaping incredible distances, running at twenty miles per hour for several minutes, and taking low-caliber gunfire without serious injury. In addition to this, Elliot is immune to nearly all illnesses due to his body being so radically different from the Human norm. Elliot's claws and teeth are made of highly compressed chitinous materials. In addition to being incredibly sharp and resilient, they regenerate at a fairly quick rate and if broken are quickly replaced.

Background and History: Elliot lived a pretty normal life - two parents, an older brother, average grades in school, occasional minor discipline problems. Never anything serious. On his eleventh birthday, however, the catalyst for the change of his life took place.

It started a year after the storm, when he began having painful growing pains, particularly in his limbs. The pain did not abate and Elliot spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital with doctors completely stumped as to the root cause of his condition. For the next two years he would be like this as his limbs grew to unnaturally long proportions, finally abating at the age of fourteen.

Soon after the end of his bizarre growth spurt, Elliot began developing a bizarre skin condition, losing his hair in thick clumps while his skin turned gray and leathery. Simultaneously a mouth and gums condition developed, his teeth falling out and soon being replaced by a new set of incredibly sharp ones.

The rest of the mutations followed shortly thereafter - the claws, the incredible strength and agility. Attempts were made to secure Elliot 'For his own protection', but a terrified Elliot managed to escape and flee into the countryside, where he hid for many years. Two years ago PRACC encountered Elliot and managed to capture him, transporting him to the secure facility where he has remained since then, undergoing psychological treatment and regaining most of his former mental capabilities, although not his trust for Humankind in general.

Notable personal achievements: He isn't dead yet. That's a pretty huge acheivement for him, given the way he looks and the general reaction of the populace to him.

Goals and Affiliation: Being forced to live like an animal has given Elliot something of an animalistic mindset. Survival is his only true affiliation, he cares nothing about abstract concepts like good and evil.

They like to wear different kind of clothes, depending on weather and occasion. Gabriella prefers normal clothes that keeps her warm and doesn't draw to much attention from others, while Isabella would rather wear something out of the ordinary that sets her apart from the normals.



Personality: Isabella is an introvert, who enjoys spending time alone reading or watching a movie. She feels uncomfortable in large groups of people and doesn't actively try to make many friends. She is calm and collected, usually in control of her emotions and thoughts, even if she were to disagree with someone or dislike them she would try to hide it.

She doesn't want to cause any troubles, and pretends to be fine with life in the facility. She does have everything she needs, and sees little reason to complain. Isabella spends a lot of her time at the library, looking for interesting books to read. Her favorite type of books deals with occult themes. She also likes to visit the cinema or the college, from time to time.

Gabriella is very much the opposite of her twin sister, and has no time or patience to read or study. She wants to be the center of attention and where things happen, not locked up in some dusty library. While she may not like reading, her sister has gotten her somewhat interested in books concerning the occult. She wouldn't read them herself, but still takes pleasure in the story her sister tells her about ghosts, spirits and old gods.

Gabriella thoroughly enjoys the arcade and is quite the avid gamer. She would probably be considered addicted by others, but deny it herself. She also spends her time socializing or hoping that someone will get a party going, so she can let loose.

The best description of the sisters would be delightfully insane, as they're not separate individuals, but share the same body and mind.

Powers and Capabilities: Isabella has the ability to manipulate time, either speeding objects or the movement of her own body up, or slowing them down. She can't stop time entirely, and using it on objects larger than herself has proven quite impossible. She has read stories about time travelers, but her powers aren't close to being able to transport her through time.

Gabriella can manipulate the bones in her body in different ways. She can create weapons or tools by protruding long bones, but also break or reattach the bones of a body without much problem.


Background and History: The girl was born in London, England. The parents expected to get twins, as that was what the doctors had told them would happen. Their mother did carry two daughters, that would under normal circumstances have become twins, but the occurrence who created the changed happened close to when the twins were born and ended up giving them powers, but also merging them into one body.

They grew up with their parents, who had a hard time accepting what had happened at first, but when nothing seemed to be wrong with the baby, except that its twin was missing, they loved and took care of it. It wasn't until the child got a few years older that it began showing signs of its powers and insanity.

The first sign was when the girl talked with herself, as if she was talking to someone else, which wasn't that odd compared to the other signs she would later show. After it occurred a few times, the parents brought their daughter to a psychologist, to have him check if there was something wrong with their daughter. He diagnozed her with DID, which came more as a relief than a surprise for the parents at that point.

When asked who the other personality was, the girl answered that it was her sister. The mother passed out when hearing her answer, and her father didn't react much better even if he managed to keep his calm. It only got worse from there, when the sisters changed which personality was making decisions more often and started displaying their powers. Gabriella would break her bones on purpose as a young girl, laugh and then reattach them as if she felt no pain from the experience.

She made her relatives and neighbours throw up more than once, especially after realizing that she could do more than break her own bones and reattach them. She would run around with bloody pipes sticking out of her arms, pretending that it was a sword and that she was fighting some imaginary monster.

Isabella wasn't as nauseating to watch, and it took some time before anyone realized that the child had two different powers. One for each personality. Isabella was able to move faster, and somtimes objects thrown in her direction would slow down until she had moved out of their way.

The news about the changed had made the parents aware of what their daughter (or daughters) really was, but they found her unnerving nonetheless. She got along well enough with other kids, considering everything, but towards the end of her teens she got into more and more trouble and fights. They looked into solutions, since the life of their child would never be easy. When they heard about the facility that had been set up, they figured it was the best solution to a difficult problem. They didn't regret it, and was ashamed to admit that they were glad to be rid of their freaky daughters.

Notable personal achievements: Isabella got high grades when she went to school, and is pretty proud of that.

Gabriella managed to break the bones of a cat and reattach them, without it dieing.


Goals and Affiliation: Isabella is interested in finding out if she can develop her abilities even further. She is likelier to use her power for her own goals, than for good or evil. She has little interest in using them to do harm to others, but she doesn't have any more interest in helping people either.

Gabriella is a bit of a sadist, and does find pleasure in the suffering of others. It doesn't matter if it's an animal or a human. Her ability to break her own bones and laugh about it has given her a twisted mindset, which makes her think that it must be just as fun for anyone else to experience.

Any other notable information: Gabriella's personality has probably made them end up in detention at least once or twice, since they got to the facility.

Full name: Darren Connor Zaun

Appearance: Darren stands 6'2" and weighs 195 lbs. He is of Caucasian heritage, with shaggy dirty blonde hair framing a face with two dark blue eyes and a thin goatee that matches his hair color. He has something resembling a sprinter's body with very strong leg muscles, a direct result of his strict running regimen. His arms used to be just as developed but a lack of desire to train them has withered them slightly, though his wrists remain strong as ever. His skin is slightly tanned, but his blood vessels will glow a translucent blue during times of heightened emotion or when he is in the process of using his powers.

When out around town he is usually seen sporting a variety of t-shirts, mostly grey with different athletic stamps on them and running shorts when running and blue jeans when not. He rotates running shoes depending on what day it is and he does have more varied colors in his footwear than in his shirts. Darren's head is always adorned with a pair of red Oakley sunglasses and a well-worn Atlanta Braves baseball hat. He does own a suit for formal occasions, but it has mostly collected dust since he moved in to the dome.

Personality: During his time in his new home, Darren has developed a rather gruff personality. He is extremely resentful of being forced to take up residence in the facility and it comes across in his usual everyday interactions. He was supposed to be living a much better life, a star-studded life, and the PRACC took that away from him, before it could even get started. He hates them for dashing his dreams and he refuses any kind of additional help from the suits on top and the people in their established network assigned to watch them, outside of court-ordered help.

If he can get talking with someone who seems to be on his wavelength regarding the situation, he shows the kind of tendencies he had outside the dome. He was a very likeable guy, able to talk to most people's ears off and make a good time out of a bad one. He was fully capable of enjoying every moment of life and it was an infectious joy. Now, that man is buried under the shell he's constructed while under this shell.

Powers and Capabilities: Darren has the ability to control and generate electricity. He can shoot it, he can absorb it, he can heal certain wounds if he comes into contact with it. His body serves as a conductor and it serves him well.

In addition, the added electrical pulses have given him impeccable control over his muscles. Enough to enhance his speed to elevated levels. He could cover 90 feet in two seconds. He can't sustain it over long periods of time, but he has been working to build up his endurance while in the facility. His wrist speed was also the fastest seen in years. It's what made him a can't miss prospect in the eyes of baseball scouts everywhere.

He has one specialty weapon, an aluminum bat that has been electro-magnetized to come at his beck and call in a manner similar to a boomerang effect when thrown. It's taken a beating over the past couple of years, but it's still capable of bashing a mailbox or cracking a shin.

Background and History: Darren was born to a poor family in Ladonia, Alabama. His father Craig worked at a tire shop in town while his mother Tammy stayed and looked after the four children they had in a trailer on the outskirts of town. It was a simple life, and Tammy did what she could for Allison, Britney, Craig Jr. and Darren to make sure they got what they could out of life. They each had their interests as they grew past the age where they could be entertained with pipe cleaners and yard waste. Ally and Brit had their gymnastics, and Jr and D.C. had baseball.

Baseball was a vital part of the Zaun household. In fact, it was on a baseball diamond where the family had convened when the first of the abnormal storms emerged. Craig Jr and Darren were playing a lower tier minor league game and the cloud bank had gathered so quickly that there was barely any time for the coach pitching to shout "Tornado!" He was wrong. There was no threat of a twister, just of massive thunderstorms. Unfortunately for Darren, being out in the open holding a large metal stick was not the stellar place to be in such an occasion. Seconds after the warning went out, lightning struck the ten year old and everyone around the field was sure there was going to be a funeral in the coming days, but miraculously the boy survived. In fact, he was barely damaged at all. The storm quickly moved on and the town murmured about what exactly happened.

In the time after the incident, Darren was even better than normal. Suddenly, he was eating up minor league pitching and was moved up to the top tier. In Little League, Darren was selected to represent nearby Phenix City and the team won their way into the LLWS in Pennsylvania. Behind him and the Rasmus brothers, the team made it all the way to the finals before losing to the team from Osaka, Japan, and Kazuki Sukiyama's baffling pitches. As he progressed through the system, his legend and skills grew. He became even faster, and as his hand-eye coordination got better, his hitting got better as well. He was a star at Central High, leading the Red Devils to back to back state championships. He got enough attention that he was drafted in the 2006 MLB Draft in the 14th round by the Washington Nationals. He could have reported to the team, but his mother advised him to take the chance to get his education. He had many scholarship offers and he would be the first Zaun to go to university. Between that and not actually wanting to play for Washington, he accepted a full scholarship to the University of Auburn.

It was at university that the first noticeable main effects of the incident manifested. Electronic appliances would start overloading in his presence, with no explanations. Light bulbs would crack and batteries would instantly be fully charged. It was a little weird, but he thought nothing of it until an altercation with an idiot at a bar during his junior season. While out on a date with one of the cheerleaders, a drunk accosted Darren and would not let him past. When he took a swing at Darren, the center fielder's emotions took hold and for the first time, his body was criss-crossed with light blue veins as a bolt shot out of his hands, striking the inebriated man with the force of a police taser. The man laid prone, his date got scared and ran off, and Darren was left wondering what the hell had just happened.

Word got out quickly with the cheerleader's testimony and Darren was marked as a Changed. Suddenly he was a hot topic. Sports networks debated whether or not Changed people should be allowed to participate in college and pro sports. Research went into the merits to see if this could be considered some form of doping. Meanwhile, Darren was caught between two factions. There was the group who were excited to have something of a superhuman teammate around, and the others who saw him as an abomination, unfit for the Earth. A couple of people were incensed enough to try and eliminate him, but earned nothing but increasingly stronger shocks for their troubles. Darren continued playing for Auburn as they won back to back to titles and he graduated with a degree in Journalism.

Upon graduation, Darren was once again eligible for the MLB Draft and debate raged again, whether or not he was worth the risk if Changed weren't allowed to play. He was lucky enough that one team thought he was worth it anyway, as his childhood favorite squad, the Atlanta Braves, selected him in the 1st round in 2010. After graduation in May, he was assigned to the Double A team in Pearl, Mississippi and quickly proved that they were not going to find a match for him at that level. He feasted on Southern league pitching, and within a month he was moved up to the Triple A team in Gwinnett, Georgia. In the International League, he faced fellow rising prospects and washed-up Major Leaguers waiting for one last shot, and by this point they didn't have anything for him either. Anyone who wasn't aware of his abilities got a full view when a Youtube clip of him zapping a Mike Jacobs home run out of the air and catching the charred remains in his glove went viral. When September arrived and the major league rosters expanded, the Braves brought him up to the major leagues. He played sparingly, with Rick Ankiel manning center field, but he was used frequently as a pinch runner and he tallied 14 steals in the month he spent with the club. He seemed destined to be the next speed king, a la Rickey Henderson. He was included on the roster for the NLDS, but couldn't do much to affect the outcome as the Braves were eliminated by San Francisco in four games.

However, once the PRACC was formed in response to Changed killings, they took the highest profile targets out of the way first. While spending the off-season with his family back home in Ladonia, officials swarmed the neighborhood he had moved his parents into with his signing bonus, and said that he had to be moved for his own protection. Initally thinking this was a temporary move in relation to the recent spree killings, Darren agreed to go with them. He hugged his parents goodbye and told them that he would be back.

Once he arrived at the Facility and learned that he would not be released from the area, Darren grew angry. He was furious that because of a couple of random nuts going off, he wasn't going to be allowed to have a life. They tried to assure him that his needs would be taken care of, but that didn't matter to him. He had finally achieved his dream, to play with the best in the world, and now these suits came in to tell him that after a month, they were killing it off? He wouldn't let that happen. He started raging in the office, frying whatever he could until he was put down with a sedative dart. When we woke up he was in what he assumed to be his assigned apartment, but he was still angry.

Over the months, he took out his rage on various things in this created town. Mailboxes, bus benches, windows, he smashed whatever he could with the bat he acquired, and every time they came and administered punishment. It ranged from forcing him to fix the damage, to a couple of stints in lock-up where he was kept in a plastic cell for lengths up to three months. After 18 months, he finally realized that petty vandalism wasn't going to get him any closer to getting back to his former life. So he started biding his time, getting faster and gaining more control over his electric abilities until an opportunity presents itself for him to escape.

Notable personal achievements : Member of the U.S. Championship team at the 1999 Little League World Series, 2009-10 SEC baseball champions with the Auburn Tigers.

Goals and Affiliation: Darren wants out. He wants to find a way out of the dome to return to his chosen profession and try to salvage something out of a career that was horribly sidetracked. He doesn't know how to do it, and he hasn't come up with anything close to realistic to get by the dome. Despite all his rage, he has just been a rat in a cage, running around in the hopes that something would eventually present itself.

Any other notable information: Due to the rage he has repeatedly showed at his perceived incarceration in this facility, Darren has been assigned a PRACC psychoanalyst who arrives at regular times to try and talk him into a state of acceptance. So far Darren has been able to pay passable lip service, but not enough to get the "doc" to stop bothering him.

Thank you for your submissions everybody, I'm happy to see that everyone put so much work into their characters and such a range in characters presented.

Appearence: Marko's most noticable feature is that he is roughly 6'6", resulting in him towering over most people in the room. He has short, dark brown hair that is combed back and parted on the right side. He has a slight farmer's tan that does little to hide his pale skin. He has high, angular cheek bones, a pointed chin and square shoulders. His eyes fluctuate between a dark and light green. Marko typically wears a pair of jeans, some boots, an obscure band shirt, and a large, thick grey coat that has a fur lining. He is almost always sporting a grin that his eyes rarely reflect.

Personality: Marko tends to be rather quiet around people, but always speaks in a polite and refined manner. His quietness helps him to be relatively unnoticed despite his abnormal height; with people often speaking freely without ever realizing that he is just a few feet away. He is very good at analyzing things that catch his interest, including other people. Marko has a strong belief in physical and mental fitness, often either running and climbing around the town or reading a book. When he isn't doing any of the above, Marko often picks a Changed to watch periodically throughout the day to try to learn who they are as a person. He isn't opposed to frontal confrontations and has been known to use his stature for intimidation, but often simply relies on others simply telling him what he wants to know; either through body language or vocal tonation. Marko likes to answer questions vaguely in order for others to interpret its meaning, but does answer bluntly when it suits him.

Powers & Capabilities: Marko can 'whisper' to other people, essentially letting him telepathically communicate with them. He can put ideas into people's heads but can never force them to enact it. As the phrase implies, his targets hear a voice (or voices) whispering to them, asking them questions, and otherwise subtely gaining information; often without his target realizing that it is him doing it, attributing the voice as just a stray thought.

He can also amplify the dominant emotions of those around him, though he has little control over when and by how much(he personally believes that it may be some sort of pheromone that causes it). Physical contact (skin to skin) will greatly increase the effect. Marko can use this in combination with his 'whispers' to create delusions in some people's minds.

Non mutant based abilities include his sense of balance and reflexes obtained from climbing (and in some cases falling) from buildings. Can speak German and English.

Background & History: Marko was born in Stuttgart, Germany (specifically the Metropolitan Region) to middle class parents a year before the Incident took place. He first devoloped his ability to amplify emotions right after the reports were coming in about stange mutations manifesting within major populations.

Growing up, this led to people tending to act in extreme fashions whenever he was around, often causing scenes of both beauty and brutality as those in love proclaimed their passion and those with hate beat down any around. When he became aware of this strange behavior whenever he was near others, Marko began to push people away and took to climbing buildings in order to be alone.

Unfortunately, he still had to go to school, and return home. The former resulted in multiple fights breaking out among students and teachers as well as increased levels of anxiety and depression. Marko, however, was a very astute learner, so the emotional collapses experienced by his colleagues were just coincidental to him reaching the top of his class every year. The latter, however, was not as pleasant. His mother and father, both becoming more and more beligerant towards each other, scared Marko immensely, eventually leading to him running away a week before his sixteenth birthday.

On his sixteenth birthday, he developed his ability to 'whisper' to others, and began to use it to win at cards. His winnings allowed for him to live subsistantly as he made his way to the north in an attempt to find some solitude. Along the way he met a girl, Eva, who was also among the Changed. She could create illusions by reflecting light off of her skin. Eva had also come from a broken home, and they both found a sense of kinship with each other. As they continued north, Eva became more and more depressed. By the time they had reached Hamburg, she was bordering suicidal.

Marko, realizing what was happening, tried to 'whisper' comfort to her; tried to make her sadness go away by pushing her towards happiness. Unfortunately, he pushed too hard. In his desperation (and lack of self control) he had unintentionally began to bombard Eva's mind with a cacophony of voices that made her believe she had truly gone insane. She jumped from a bridge screaming for silence four days later.

Afterwards, Marko began to not speak, and tried to hide his feelings behind a small, ever-present grin so others wouldn't ask about them. The north seemed pointless in his despair. He spent the next couple of years wandering throughout Europe, taking odd jobs, learning to control his powers, and never staying in one place for too long. Eventually, he made contact with PRACC, who promised him that they could find a way to help him subdue (or atleast control) his abilities.

He entered the Facility a day after his ninteenth birthday.

Notable Personal Achievements: Ranking highest in all of his classes. Accidently killing his best friend.

Goals & Affiliation: To better control his emotional amplification and to learn more about the other Changed. His actions aren't inherently good or evil; just pragmatic to his learning.

Powers and Capabilities: Pet Rock's powers are as vast as they are mystifying. No one has ever seen it move or take any action whatsoever. But at the last possible moment, it is always found to be precisely where it must be to completely dismantle a villain's scheme, be it falling from the ceiling to smash a priceless artifact, or inexplicably appearing, just off-screen, and right on top of the self destruct button to the villain's lair.

Background and History : Much speculation surrounds the origin of Pet Rock. Some suggest that it is the sole surviving fragment of a long-dead, alien world much like our own. Others ponder if it is the prophecied ruler of the ancient sunken kingdom of Rocklantis, here to bridge the gap between man and stone. Still others suggest that Pet Rock is in fact the physical manifestation of the Earth Goddess, Gaia, come to wreak vengeance for our misuse of nature.

The truth is, no one knows. Pet Rock has come out from the darkness, with no warning. But he has proven time and again, that he is here to help.

When the last group of 'Changed' was brought to the facility, Pet Rock was among them. No one recalled bringing it onto the ship, and none present could imagine how it managed to be buckled into one of the seats. It was simply there. It simply was.

All present in the facility deny being behind Pet Rock's movements. Pet Rock, based on the locations he is spotted in most often, still appears to travel at least two miles every 24 hours.

Prior to relocation to the facility, Pet Rock was onboard Flight-138765432, destined for Guatemala, in the year 2014. Two hijackers took control of the plane, knocking the pilots unconscious and redirecting the plane toward Mexico City. There, they planned to crash the plane and assassinate most of the Mexican government in the process. En route, the plane hit a pocket of extreme turbulence, and Pet Rock sprung into action. Launching from the back of the plane, Pet Rock ricocheted into the cabin, smashing into the skulls of both hijackers and killing them on the spot. Its velocity lessened from the first two impacts, Pet Rock then struck the pilots, waking them and allowing them to free themselves, taking control of the plane and landing it safely.

Pet Rock is regarded as a Mexican National Hero for its brave actions.

Welp, might as well throw a sheet into the frey.

Full name: Bastion Hueler
Nickname: Seimei

Appearance: Bastion stands a hair shorter then 6' tall and while he is starting to bulge a little at the gut he still has a rather healthy, sturdy build. Bastion's face is rather broad with a wide square chin and early signs of laugh lines at the corners of his brown eyes. Bastion's hair is black though these days he tends to let it get a little shaggy at about ear length. He also sports a beard that he usually keeps well trimmed.

Personality: Bastion is a pretty laid back kind of guy who is almost always willing to lend an ear and is very rarely board. Bastion also possesses a large quantity of patience though it can still run out and Bastion often acts very rapidly when it does. In general he likes very little more then to share a laugh or a good meal.

Powers and Capabilities: Bastion seems to be able to take bits of paper that he has folded or cut into shapes and instill in them a limited 'life' of their own, allowing them to move and act like small living things for a short period of time. Though these 'servants' as Bastion sometimes calls them seem to mostly try and follow Bastion's tasks they do seem to possess a limited amount of initiative and (even more limited apparently) intelligence.

Interestingly, it often follows that the more intricate the work Bastion does creating the paper body of the servant, the longer the servant tends to be able to keep moving as well as showing slightly higher levels of intelligence and personality. In addition, function seems to follow form as a servant will often change it's apparent nature based on it's shape, for example: an origami frog will hop about, while a folded bird will be more likely to fly, and a cut out soldier will act more disciplined. It might be noted that the servants tend to act a bit childish in general and can be quite curious or get into trouble if left unattended.

Bastion also seems to have a limited telekinetic like control over paper and the like, though this seems somewhat weakened over any material he has brought to life.

Background and History: Bastion had a relatively normal youth when the event came and passed it seemed to leave the 11 year old Bastion's life completely unchanged. It was only later and very slowly that Bastion began to notice strange things happen around him; paper that would rustle without wind, forms that rearranged themselves when no one was there. After a little experimentation and a lot of thinking he might be crazy Bastion eventually discovered his ability, though after an encounter with a classmate he decided to keep it hidden from most people.

Eventually Bastion graduated from college and found work as an architect. However, shortly thereafter when Bastion revealed his changed nature to his long time girlfriend she became terrified and left him before he could even explain. For a time Bastion sank into a deep depression and neglected his work and health. Finally, after much effort, Bastion's friends were able to drag him out of his stupor and even introduced him to a new girl whom he fell head over heels in love with. After a 2 year romance the pair were married and shortly afterward had a child, a healthy baby girl. Unfortunately in the middle of childbirth Bastion's wife suffered complications due to her own powers as a changed, the hospital was unable to do anything and she passed away.

Bastion did what he could to try and raise his daughter alone the best he could, though he no longer did anything to hide the fact that he was changed. When the PRACC showed up at Bastion's apartment he did nothing to resist once they explained what they were there for. Bastion had personally experienced the problems of being a changed in the normal world, both societal and technical, and while he didn't know whether his daughter was a changed or not he felt that the facility sounded like a safe place for them both. After getting the assurance of the agents that he would still be allowed to take care of his daughter Bastion moved to the facility where he often spends his spare time tending plants in the park and teaching mathematics at the school.

Notable personal achievements: Single father of a 2 year old girl

Goals and Affiliation: Bastion's absolute number one goal is to ensure the safety and happiness of his daughter. Sure, he also wants to enjoy life and help other people, but these are a long second place.

Appearance: Dex stands at 5'7" with a lanky frame and pale white skin. His brown hair is worn as a greasy, messy mop combed in a part. He also has the modest beginnings of a goatee and a mustache. His hands and arms bear the scars of his trial-and-error method of engineering. Most notable is the remnants of a gash along his right forearm, that has long since faded into a light-colored scar. Fashion is of almost no importance to Dex; his wardrobe is composed of miscellaneous black shirts, jeans, and well-worn sneakers.

Dex's suit, which he affectionately to as "Rob," adds about three inches to his height. On the outside, it looks like a human-form patchwork of metal and bolts. Rob's design features mechanical musculature on the chest, back, legs, and arms. It has a base color of dull burgundy and has black stripes that run down the center of the chest and each of the limbs. The paint job is worn and faded in many places, revealing the dull grey steel underneath. The helmet features a T-shaped visor that glows with a faint red light (that is, when the lights work).

Personality: Dex takes great pride in his intelligence and doesn't miss an opportunity to remind everyone of it. But despite his book smarts, he is severely lacking in wisdom; he is cocky and arrogant to the point of recklessness. He carries himself with swagger that he simply doesn't possess and vastly overestimates his chances of success, whether it be with a woman or with the latest modification to Rob.

Powers and Capabilities: Dex is gifted with extraordinary intelligence. He is capable of learning concepts at an astonishing pace if he wishes to apply himself. His crowning achievement is a (barely) functional suit of powered armor, dubbed "Rob." Rob was built entirely by Dex, using materials that he obtained over the course of years. While wearing this suit, he is capable of:

- Powered flight. By using thrusters built into Rob's hands, feet, and back, Dex can propel himself into the air at speeds up to 30 miles per hour. If he's in a hurry, he can overclock the thrusters and travel up to ~60 mp/h, but at a high risk of severely damaging the thrusters and Rob's internal circuitry. The thrusters are unreliable, as they sporadically sputter and fail while in use. This makes flight an option only when the mobility is necessary.

- Concentrated energy blasts. The thrusters in the Rob's hands are also capable of firing a concentrated energy weapon. The strength of the blasts depend on how much power is put behind them. At the highest (read: unsafe) setting, they can cut through about an inch of steel. At the lowest setting, they can cause burns and kinetic trauma to human skin. Dex cannot use energy blasts while flying, unless he wants to risk crashing, or worse, frying Rob's circuitry. In addition, excessive use of energy blasts can cause severe damage to the thrusters. And like the thrusters, the energy blasts are prone to failure and misfiring.

- Amplified strength: While wearing the suit, Dex's (uninpressive) natural strength is roughly doubled. This is possibly the only feature of the suit that isn't constantly prone to failure. However, sufficient damage to the hydraulics system could deprive him of it.

Dex also has an accelerated healing factor, which allows him to recover from most non-lethal injuries significantly faster than the average human. This may be the only reason that Dex is still alive, after all the mishaps and accidents he endured while building and testing Rob.




Background and History: Dex White was born in a quiet Southern California suburb, shortly after the abnormal weather patterns vanished. His life was rather uneventful until he hit adolescence. As he entered his teenage years, his Changed physiology began to manifest itself. Dex was an average student at best for most of his life, but he soon found it to be easy. Too easy, in fact. Not long after he entered middle school, he was put into the honors program. He passed these courses with flying colors and quickly became bored. In an attempt to stave off boredom, he took up reading. While his teachers adored him for his incredible academic performance, his peers were very quick to bully and tease him. "Nerd" and "teacher's pet" were among the many names thrown at him. This didn't bother Dex very much, as he found theoretical physics to be far more interesting than making friends. He believed himself superior to his fellow students. Instead of anesthetizing himself with the latest pop culture fads, he was using his spare time to enlighten himself.

This continued through high school, where he was immediately put into the honors and college prep programs. He soon took a great interest in mechanical and electrical engineering after coming across some late-night documentaries on the Discovery Channel. With his meager allowance and money earned on the side for doing other peoples' homework, Dex got into the habit of buying broken phones, computers, game consoles, and other miscellaneous electronics to tinker with and repair. As he grew more confident in his skills, he would gut these devices and use them to build machines of his own. At first he built small things like toasters and remote-controlled vehicles, but he quickly graduated to making custom, fully functional phones and computers. His projects became increasingly more complex and ambitious as time went on.

At age 16, Dex began work on his craziest idea yet, Project Rob. Weekends spent reading comics and playing video games had inspired him to create his own suit of powered armor. It would not be cheap, it would not be easy, but he was determined. Taking a job at a fast food restaurant helped pay for the materials he needed. Over the course of two years and many all-nighters (as well as many accidents) in the back yard shed, Dex diligently assembled the suit by hand. When Rob was complete, Dex was absolutely enthused and took it out for a test flight. The result was a panic in the neighborhood and a mass deployment of local police. After a bit of practice out in the desert, Dex took Rob out for another run a few weeks later. Rob's hand thrusters gave out mid-flight and Dex ended up causing about a half million dollars in property damage after careening through several buildings and crashing into a parked minivan.

Dex was immediately apprehended by federal authorities and indicted with a very long list of misdemeanor and felony charges. While in detainment, he was approached by agents representing the PRACC. They gave him an offer: If he agreed to relocate to a classified facility, all charges against him would be dropped, no questions asked. Since his parents were in no position to fight the federal government in court, Dex accepted. After an emotional goodbye, Dex and Rob were relocated to the PRACC's secluded facility for Changed deemed "less public-safe." He has since settled into the facility and spends his spare time making adjustments and modifications to Rob.

Notable personal achievements: Managed to construct a suit of powered armor by himself, using resources he obtained on his own. Also managed to become somewhat of a viral Internet hero due to his exploits.

Goals and Affiliation: While Dex can best be described as an arrogant jerk, he holds no ill will against society as a whole. He does, however, have a beef with the federal government for forcing him to relocate. He has no set goal for his life, other than to experiment and learn. Thanks to his experience using Rob, he has also become a bit of a thrill seeker as well.

Her clothes are simple, a black hooded sweatshirt with some kind of a nerd shirt underneath, topped off with a pair of dark blue jeans and simple shoes. To keep her hands warm she wears a pair of black fingerless gloves and she always carries a gray canvas shoulder back containing her laptop and some tools.

The most notable fact of her appearance is her wrist gadget that she invented. It's used to detect issues with her other gadgets as well as in kind of harmful tech around her.

Personality: She keeps to herself for the most part, reclusive as some have called her. People don't fully matter to her but she does care about their well being. She's soft spoken and for lack of better words, doesn't give a shit about much. She's socially awkward around most people having spent much of her time alone in life.

Being awkward hasn't stopped her from being sarcastic. Her humor is very dry, at times it can be very hard to tell if she's joking or not. While she is gifted in sarcasm she lacks any skill of detecting it, many jokes have flown right over her head. Despite her issues she is a good person, she just doesn't know how to show it. If asked to fix something she'll jump right in and not expect or even take any form of reward for her repairs. She only says, "No reward is needed, I get joy out of what I do." She has been known to look around the facility for things to fix and people to help technology wise.

Powers and Capabilities: Lizbeth is a gifted technopath, and hacker, both were given to her by the incident. She can tap into any electronic and control it as long as the electronic is capable of her orders. She is also gifted with extreme intelligence, more for tech but still has gifted intelligence over all. If you give her anything electronic she can fix it and even make it much better then before. She manly uses her skills to make gadgets for herself such as her wrist monitor (it's rather Pip Boy like as she would say) and her electricity gun which releases a small bolts of lightning.

Background and History: Her past before the incident isn't of much note, grew up with her two parents in a upper-middle class family. She had, for the most part, a normal life. Her mother was a history teacher at the local high school and her father a doctor. Her family was loving but overly protective over her causing her to be a reclusive as she is. She was home schooled by the best tutors she could have which is when she showed her natural talent for technology. At 12 she was able to build her first computer, granted it had some issues but it still worked.

At the age of 18 she was offered a scholarship to a distinguished computer science college not too far away where she pursued her PHD in Computer Science, which she completed right before the incident. In college her lack of social interaction started to show, she was critical of others actions if she felt it was wrong and she would say things that were inappropriate in the conversation. She tried to get along with others but few were able to stand her.

The incident is when things changed for her. She was 26 at the time and walking back to her apartment when it happened. Shortly after she passed out and woke up on the sidewalk she was walking on, her skin changed and it felt like the laptop in her bag was talking to her when she touched it.

After a few weeks of playing around with her powers and research she discovered she was now a Changed. She was found a month later by a sweep by the PRACC. After she arrived at the facility she kept to her self and refined her powers, making gadget here and there for practice. She roamed around a bit getting to know a few people but not really engaging much with them. Not much has changed since her first day at the facility. Wake up, food, work, food and more work. So how some of her social awkwardness faded away while in the facility but she still shows signs of her early life.

Notable personal achievements: She graduated with a PHD in computer science. Not much is what she's count an notable in her eyes. Others would say her gadgets are notable for the ease some have given others. Such as her gadget to aid the blind walk without bumping into things.

Goals and Affiliation: Her major goal is to make the best tech she can for the good of others and to make a true AI that can aid her in her work. She isn't affiliated with anyone at this given time, her work comes first.

Her appearance is constantly changing; everything from her race to face is in eternal flux, with only two constants, the night black hair, and eyes like distant stars. By pure statistics she?s kept average in terms of height and weight for the most part.

Style is important to her so she puts effort into her appearance, the exact style is inconsistent but however she look you get the idea it was well prepared.

Personality:

Just like her face her mind is constantly remaking itself, especially when she sleeps. Her personality has a rather reactive quality to it; the events of each day have a massive impact on how she faces the next.

Without mincing words Newton is a genius, with an IQ that needs to be written in standard form. Like any clever person she?s easily bored constantly seeking out new stimulation something to drive off the stagnation. Then there?s the usual disparaging attitude that she has of idiots (which according to her most people are (99.ish%)).

The other thing to remember is her mental problem; Newton can?t form long term memories, every day she goes to sleep and wakes up the next one a blank slate. Like the last day never happened. Her short term memory by contrast is
photographic though.

Finally she?s got amazing intuition with the ability to quickly take systems apart and understand how they work.

Powers and Capabilities:
Newton has up to three powers at any one time, one she always has and the other two vary. Her only native power is simple, an extension of her intelligence, by learning about a system she?s able to exert psychic control over it.
This has a diverse range of applications, from copying the skills and even powers of others to controlling machines with her mind once understands them.

That?s where the other 2 powers come in; she can store up to two abilities a day which will be lost when she goes to sleep due to her memory problems.

Whether or not she could hypothetically learn the same ability twice in a row is debatable but also irrelevant. Even though she can?t remember the ability there?s a sense of boredom about it which makes it hard for her to focus on re-learning old powers.

She?s reliant on two main things. That she?s able to study and comprehensively understand the system (often requiring experimentation or extensive research) and the second is concentration; her powers are mentally intensive so she?s especially vulnerable to distractions or mental attacks.

Even if the ability she?s using is something that is second nature to the person it belongs to she?ll need to concentrate, putting her at a disadvantage against experienced users.

Newton has no idea of her origins, she speaks English and doesn?t have any memories of other languages but then occasionally she?ll hear something in a foreign language and it will make perfect sense and she can?t even remember day to day what she does and doesn?t know.

Race is the same, her passive shape shifting means she?s no way of knowing for sure her ethnic origins. The night black hair could apply to so many places it?s hardly a clue either.

What memories she does have are fractured, she remembers the sea, the quiet, the peace, and she remembers hating having to wear her glasses. There?s more but chances are a good fraction of it is wrong or deliberately made up.
In Newton?s mind she?s always been smart, even as a child, which to her explains why she can?t remember any friends. She never really considered herself as having power; to her what she does is so natural she just learnt and applied what she knew.

Maybe it was the isolation but she?d no reason to believe there was anything other than stupidity stopping anyone doing what she was. She grew powerful, beyond imagining, her powers uncountable, less rational people would compare her to a god able to bend reality to her will.

But then it changed, she remembers a stranger, faceless and nameless in her mind. She remembers a pain, the feeling of her mind burning up, the feeling of falling as her powers fell through beneath her. Both vivid and vague her last memory feels like it?s just happened, like it was only yesterday.

But with her memory it could have been years ago and she?d feel the same. Every morning she wakes up in this facility like it?s her first day.

Newton has no idea what she?s done, good or evil her actions are a mystery. She recalls great power, the feeling of the world at her feet, hers to doom or save and she?s not the faintest idea what she did with it, must be how people not smart enough to keep track of car keys feel.

Goals and Affiliation: Good and Evil are difficult to define with Newton, one day she might do the right thing and the next the worst. Allies at sundown are not necessarily still friends at sunrise.

However not all goals are limited by morality. Whatever her current alignment there are constant goals, first to find out what?s going on. Even if she?s not aware of her situation part of her feels the void in her mind left in the stranger?s wake, less curious, more mentally ravenous.

Then there?s the stranger, Whether she?s in the mood for revenge or just closure that day, she?ll find him or her or it, and on bad days she?ll stop at nothing to do it.

Finally there?s the business of escape. Normally she?s figured out her current situation by between 8:00 and 8:15 any given morning, of course if she hasn?t escaped by sunset it?s all for nothing and she?d back to square one. Needless to say she?s yet to pull that off.

Full name: Earnest Dexter White
Nickname: Prefers to go by "Dex"
Gender: Male
Age: 18

Appearance: Dex stands at 5'7" with a lanky frame and pale white skin. His brown hair is worn as a greasy, messy mop combed in a part. He also has the modest beginnings of a goatee and a mustache. His hands and arms bear the scars of his trial-and-error method of engineering. Most notable is the remnants of a gash along his right forearm, that has long since faded into a light-colored scar. Fashion is of almost no importance to Dex; his wardrobe is composed of miscellaneous black shirts, jeans, and well-worn sneakers.

Dex's suit, which he affectionately to as "Rob," adds about three inches to his height. On the outside, it looks like a human-form patchwork of metal and bolts. Rob's design features mechanical musculature on the chest, back, legs, and arms. It has a base color of dull burgundy and has black stripes that run down the center of the chest and each of the limbs. The paint job is worn and faded in many places, revealing the dull grey steel underneath. The helmet features a T-shaped visor that glows with a faint red light (that is, when the lights work).

Personality: Dex takes great pride in his intelligence and doesn't miss an opportunity to remind everyone of it. But despite his book smarts, he is severely lacking in wisdom; he is cocky and arrogant to the point of recklessness. He carries himself with swagger that he simply doesn't possess and vastly overestimates his chances of success, whether it be with a woman or with the latest modification to Rob.

Powers and Capabilities: Dex is gifted with extraordinary intelligence. He is capable of learning concepts at an astonishing pace if he wishes to apply himself. His crowning achievement is a (barely) functional suit of powered armor, dubbed "Rob." Rob was built entirely by Dex, using materials that he obtained over the course of years. While wearing this suit, he is capable of:

- Powered flight. By using thrusters built into Rob's hands, feet, and back, Dex can propel himself into the air at speeds up to 30 miles per hour. If he's in a hurry, he can overclock the thrusters and travel up to ~60 mp/h, but at a high risk of severely damaging the thrusters and Rob's internal circuitry. The thrusters are unreliable, as they sporadically sputter and fail while in use. This makes flight an option only when the mobility is necessary.

- Concentrated energy blasts. The thrusters in the Rob's hands are also capable of firing a concentrated energy weapon. The strength of the blasts depend on how much power is put behind them. At the highest (read: unsafe) setting, they can cut through about an inch of steel. At the lowest setting, they can cause burns and kinetic trauma to human skin. Dex cannot use energy blasts while flying, unless he wants to risk crashing, or worse, frying Rob's circuitry. In addition, excessive use of energy blasts can cause severe damage to the thrusters. And like the thrusters, the energy blasts are prone to failure and misfiring.

- Amplified strength: While wearing the suit, Dex's (uninpressive) natural strength is roughly doubled. This is possibly the only feature of the suit that isn't constantly prone to failure. However, sufficient damage to the hydraulics system could deprive him of it.

Dex also has an accelerated healing factor, which allows him to recover from most non-lethal injuries significantly faster than the average human. This may be the only reason that Dex is still alive, after all the mishaps and accidents he endured while building and testing Rob.




Background and History: Dex White was born in a quiet Southern California suburb, shortly after the abnormal weather patterns vanished. His life was rather uneventful until he hit adolescence. As he entered his teenage years, his Changed physiology began to manifest itself. Dex was an average student at best for most of his life, but he soon found it to be easy. Too easy, in fact. Not long after he entered middle school, he was put into the honors program. He passed these courses with flying colors and quickly became bored. In an attempt to stave off boredom, he took up reading. While his teachers adored him for his incredible academic performance, his peers were very quick to bully and tease him. "Nerd" and "teacher's pet" were among the many names thrown at him. This didn't bother Dex very much, as he found theoretical physics to be far more interesting than making friends. He believed himself superior to his fellow students. Instead of anesthetizing himself with the latest pop culture fads, he was using his spare time to enlighten himself.

This continued through high school, where he was immediately put into the honors and college prep programs. He soon took a great interest in mechanical and electrical engineering after coming across some late-night documentaries on the Discovery Channel. With his meager allowance and money earned on the side for doing other peoples' homework, Dex got into the habit of buying broken phones, computers, game consoles, and other miscellaneous electronics to tinker with and repair. As he grew more confident in his skills, he would gut these devices and use them to build machines of his own. At first he built small things like toasters and remote-controlled vehicles, but he quickly graduated to making custom, fully functional phones and computers. His projects became increasingly more complex and ambitious as time went on.

At age 16, Dex began work on his craziest idea yet, Project Rob. Weekends spent reading comics and playing video games had inspired him to create his own suit of powered armor. It would not be cheap, it would not be easy, but he was determined. Taking a job at a fast food restaurant helped pay for the materials he needed. Over the course of two years and many all-nighters (as well as many accidents) in the back yard shed, Dex diligently assembled the suit by hand. When Rob was complete, Dex was absolutely enthused and took it out for a test flight. The result was a panic in the neighborhood and a mass deployment of local police. After a bit of practice out in the desert, Dex took Rob out for another run a few weeks later. Rob's hand thrusters gave out mid-flight and Dex ended up causing about a half million dollars in property damage after careening through several buildings and crashing into a parked minivan.

Dex was immediately apprehended by federal authorities and indicted with a very long list of misdemeanor and felony charges. While in detainment, he was approached by agents representing the PRACC. They gave him an offer: If he agreed to relocate to a classified facility, all charges against him would be dropped, no questions asked. Since his parents were in no position to fight the federal government in court, Dex accepted. After an emotional goodbye, Dex and Rob were relocated to the PRACC's secluded facility for Changed deemed "less public-safe." He has since settled into the facility and spends his spare time making adjustments and modifications to Rob.

Notable personal achievements: Managed to construct a suit of powered armor by himself, using resources he obtained on his own. Also managed to become somewhat of a viral Internet hero due to his exploits.

Goals and Affiliation: While Dex can best be described as an arrogant jerk, he holds no ill will against society as a whole. He does, however, have a beef with the federal government for forcing him to relocate. He has no set goal for his life, other than to experiment and learn. Thanks to his experience using Rob, he has also become a bit of a thrill seeker as well.
