Let me know if there's an issue.
Full name: Lizbeth Rider

Nickname: She doesn't really have a nick name she calls herself but people at the facility like to call her Techni. (pronounced Tech~nee)

Gender: Female

Age: 29

Appearance: She stands around 5'10" and has basic muscle build. She keeps her brown hair no longer then chin length to keep it out of her work and her face, her green eyes are always seem out of focused when really she's deep in thought. Her skin in pale due to her spending a big chunk of her time in her room working. Interesting fact is her skin looks like there are small gray circuits running thought her body due to being a Changed.

Her clothes are simple, a black hooded sweatshirt with some kind of a nerd shirt underneath, topped off with a pair of dark blue jeans and simple shoes. To keep her hands warm she wears a pair of black fingerless gloves and she always carries a gray canvas shoulder back containing her laptop and some tools.

The most notable fact of her appearance is her wrist gadget that she invented. It's used to detect issues with her other gadgets as well as in kind of harmful tech around her.

Personality: She keeps to herself for the most part, reclusive as some have called her. People don't fully matter to her but she does care about their well being. She's soft spoken and for lack of better words, doesn't give a shit about much. She's socially awkward around most people having spent much of her time alone in life.

Being awkward hasn't stopped her from being sarcastic. Her humor is very dry, at times it can be very hard to tell if she's joking or not. While she is gifted in sarcasm she lacks any skill of detecting it, many jokes have flown right over her head. Despite her issues she is a good person, she just doesn't know how to show it. If asked to fix something she'll jump right in and not expect or even take any form of reward for her repairs. She only says, "No reward is needed, I get joy out of what I do." She has been known to look around the facility for things to fix and people to help technology wise.

Powers and Capabilities: Lizbeth is a gifted technopath, and hacker, both were given to her by the incident. She can tap into any electronic and control it as long as the electronic is capable of her orders. She is also gifted with extreme intelligence, more for tech but still has gifted intelligence over all. If you give her anything electronic she can fix it and even make it much better then before. She manly uses her skills to make gadgets for herself such as her wrist monitor (it's rather Pip Boy like as she would say) and her electricity gun which releases a small bolts of lightning.

Background and History: Her past before the incident isn't of much note, grew up with her two parents in a upper-middle class family. She had, for the most part, a normal life. Her mother was a history teacher at the local high school and her father a doctor. Her family was loving but overly protective over her causing her to be a reclusive as she is. She was home schooled by the best tutors she could have which is when she showed her natural talent for technology. At 12 she was able to build her first computer, granted it had some issues but it still worked.

At the age of 18 she was offered a scholarship to a distinguished computer science college not too far away where she pursued her PHD in Computer Science, which she completed right before the incident. In college her lack of social interaction started to show, she was critical of others actions if she felt it was wrong and she would say things that were inappropriate in the conversation. She tried to get along with others but few were able to stand her.

The incident is when things changed for her. She was 26 at the time and walking back to her apartment when it happened. Shortly after she passed out and woke up on the sidewalk she was walking on, her skin changed and it felt like the laptop in her bag was talking to her when she touched it.

After a few weeks of playing around with her powers and research she discovered she was now a Changed. She was found a month later by a sweep by the PRACC. After she arrived at the facility she kept to her self and refined her powers, making gadget here and there for practice. She roamed around a bit getting to know a few people but not really engaging much with them. Not much has changed since her first day at the facility. Wake up, food, work, food and more work. So how some of her social awkwardness faded away while in the facility but she still shows signs of her early life.

Notable personal achievements: She graduated with a PHD in computer science. Not much is what she's count an notable in her eyes. Others would say her gadgets are notable for the ease some have given others. Such as her gadget to aid the blind walk without bumping into things.

Goals and Affiliation: Her major goal is to make the best tech she can for the good of others and to make a true AI that can aid her in her work. She isn't affiliated with anyone at this given time, her work comes first.

Full name: Newton Green

Nickname: [Changes daily]

Gender: Female for as long as she can remember

Age: 20 ish, she doesn?t actually know for sure
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Appearance (Description and/or images are fine):
Her appearance is constantly changing; everything from her race to face is in eternal flux, with only two constants, the night black hair, and eyes like distant stars. By pure statistics she?s kept average in terms of height and weight for the most part.

Style is important to her so she puts effort into her appearance, the exact style is inconsistent but however she look you get the idea it was well prepared.

Personality:

Just like her face her mind is constantly remaking itself, especially when she sleeps. Her personality has a rather reactive quality to it; the events of each day have a massive impact on how she faces the next.

Without mincing words Newton is a genius, with an IQ that needs to be written in standard form. Like any clever person she?s easily bored constantly seeking out new stimulation something to drive off the stagnation. Then there?s the usual disparaging attitude that she has of idiots (which according to her most people are (99.ish%)).

The other thing to remember is her mental problem; Newton can?t form long term memories, every day she goes to sleep and wakes up the next one a blank slate. Like the last day never happened. Her short term memory by contrast is
photographic though.

Finally she?s got amazing intuition with the ability to quickly take systems apart and understand how they work.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Powers and Capabilities:
Newton has up to three powers at any one time, one she always has and the other two vary. Her only native power is simple, an extension of her intelligence, by learning about a system she?s able to exert psychic control over it.
This has a diverse range of applications, from copying the skills and even powers of others to controlling machines with her mind once understands them.

That?s where the other 2 powers come in; she can store up to two abilities a day which will be lost when she goes to sleep due to her memory problems.

Whether or not she could hypothetically learn the same ability twice in a row is debatable but also irrelevant. Even though she can?t remember the ability there?s a sense of boredom about it which makes it hard for her to focus on re-learning old powers.

She?s reliant on two main things. That she?s able to study and comprehensively understand the system (often requiring experimentation or extensive research) and the second is concentration; her powers are mentally intensive so she?s especially vulnerable to distractions or mental attacks.

Even if the ability she?s using is something that is second nature to the person it belongs to she?ll need to concentrate, putting her at a disadvantage against experienced users.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Background and History:
Newton has no idea of her origins, she speaks English and doesn?t have any memories of other languages but then occasionally she?ll hear something in a foreign language and it will make perfect sense and she can?t even remember day to day what she does and doesn?t know.

Race is the same, her passive shape shifting means she?s no way of knowing for sure her ethnic origins. The night black hair could apply to so many places it?s hardly a clue either.

What memories she does have are fractured, she remembers the sea, the quiet, the peace, and she remembers hating having to wear her glasses. There?s more but chances are a good fraction of it is wrong or deliberately made up.
In Newton?s mind she?s always been smart, even as a child, which to her explains why she can?t remember any friends. She never really considered herself as having power; to her what she does is so natural she just learnt and applied what she knew.

Maybe it was the isolation but she?d no reason to believe there was anything other than stupidity stopping anyone doing what she was. She grew powerful, beyond imagining, her powers uncountable, less rational people would compare her to a god able to bend reality to her will.

But then it changed, she remembers a stranger, faceless and nameless in her mind. She remembers a pain, the feeling of her mind burning up, the feeling of falling as her powers fell through beneath her. Both vivid and vague her last memory feels like it?s just happened, like it was only yesterday.

But with her memory it could have been years ago and she?d feel the same. Every morning she wakes up in this facility like it?s her first day.

Notable personal achievements:
Newton has no idea what she?s done, good or evil her actions are a mystery. She recalls great power, the feeling of the world at her feet, hers to doom or save and she?s not the faintest idea what she did with it, must be how people not smart enough to keep track of car keys feel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Goals and Affiliation: Good and Evil are difficult to define with Newton, one day she might do the right thing and the next the worst. Allies at sundown are not necessarily still friends at sunrise.

However not all goals are limited by morality. Whatever her current alignment there are constant goals, first to find out what?s going on. Even if she?s not aware of her situation part of her feels the void in her mind left in the stranger?s wake, less curious, more mentally ravenous.

Then there?s the stranger, Whether she?s in the mood for revenge or just closure that day, she?ll find him or her or it, and on bad days she?ll stop at nothing to do it.

Finally there?s the business of escape. Normally she?s figured out her current situation by between 8:00 and 8:15 any given morning, of course if she hasn?t escaped by sunset it?s all for nothing and she?d back to square one. Needless to say she?s yet to pull that off.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any and all feedback welcome

Also if I?m accepted anyone want to set up some pre-rp stuff (GM willing) Newton won't remember but there's nothing to say she's not met another character or two.

Also given her unique situation I?d be happy to discuss special arrangements about keeping her secure.

Hopefully I'm not too late.

Full name: Earnest Dexter White
Nickname: Prefers to go by "Dex"
Gender: Male
Age: 18

Appearance: Dex stands at 5'7" with a lanky frame and pale white skin. His brown hair is worn as a greasy, messy mop combed in a part. He also has the modest beginnings of a goatee and a mustache. His hands and arms bear the scars of his trial-and-error method of engineering. Most notable is the remnants of a gash along his right forearm, that has long since faded into a light-colored scar. Fashion is of almost no importance to Dex; his wardrobe is composed of miscellaneous black shirts, jeans, and well-worn sneakers.

Dex's suit, which he affectionately to as "Rob," adds about three inches to his height. On the outside, it looks like a human-form patchwork of metal and bolts. Rob's design features mechanical musculature on the chest, back, legs, and arms. It has a base color of dull burgundy and has black stripes that run down the center of the chest and each of the limbs. The paint job is worn and faded in many places, revealing the dull grey steel underneath. The helmet features a T-shaped visor that glows with a faint red light (that is, when the lights work).

Personality: Dex takes great pride in his intelligence and doesn't miss an opportunity to remind everyone of it. But despite his book smarts, he is severely lacking in wisdom; he is cocky and arrogant to the point of recklessness. He carries himself with swagger that he simply doesn't possess and vastly overestimates his chances of success, whether it be with a woman or with the latest modification to Rob.

Powers and Capabilities: Dex is gifted with extraordinary intelligence. He is capable of learning concepts at an astonishing pace if he wishes to apply himself. His crowning achievement is a (barely) functional suit of powered armor, dubbed "Rob." Rob was built entirely by Dex, using materials that he obtained over the course of years. While wearing this suit, he is capable of:

- Powered flight. By using thrusters built into Rob's hands, feet, and back, Dex can propel himself into the air at speeds up to 30 miles per hour. If he's in a hurry, he can overclock the thrusters and travel up to ~60 mp/h, but at a high risk of severely damaging the thrusters and Rob's internal circuitry. The thrusters are unreliable, as they sporadically sputter and fail while in use. This makes flight an option only when the mobility is necessary.

- Concentrated energy blasts. The thrusters in the Rob's hands are also capable of firing a concentrated energy weapon. The strength of the blasts depend on how much power is put behind them. At the highest (read: unsafe) setting, they can cut through about an inch of steel. At the lowest setting, they can cause burns and kinetic trauma to human skin. Dex cannot use energy blasts while flying, unless he wants to risk crashing, or worse, frying Rob's circuitry. In addition, excessive use of energy blasts can cause severe damage to the thrusters. And like the thrusters, the energy blasts are prone to failure and misfiring.

- Amplified strength: While wearing the suit, Dex's (uninpressive) natural strength is roughly doubled. This is possibly the only feature of the suit that isn't constantly prone to failure. However, sufficient damage to the hydraulics system could deprive him of it.

Dex also has an accelerated healing factor, which allows him to recover from most non-lethal injuries significantly faster than the average human. This may be the only reason that Dex is still alive, after all the mishaps and accidents he endured while building and testing Rob.

Background and History: Dex White was born in a quiet Southern California suburb, shortly after the abnormal weather patterns vanished. His life was rather uneventful until he hit adolescence. As he entered his teenage years, his Changed physiology began to manifest itself. Dex was an average student at best for most of his life, but he soon found it to be easy. Too easy, in fact. Not long after he entered middle school, he was put into the honors program. He passed these courses with flying colors and quickly became bored. In an attempt to stave off boredom, he took up reading. While his teachers adored him for his incredible academic performance, his peers were very quick to bully and tease him. "Nerd" and "teacher's pet" were among the many names thrown at him. This didn't bother Dex very much, as he found theoretical physics to be far more interesting than making friends. He believed himself superior to his fellow students. Instead of anesthetizing himself with the latest pop culture fads, he was using his spare time to enlighten himself.

This continued through high school, where he was immediately put into the honors and college prep programs. He soon took a great interest in mechanical and electrical engineering after coming across some late-night documentaries on the Discovery Channel. With his meager allowance and money earned on the side for doing other peoples' homework, Dex got into the habit of buying broken phones, computers, game consoles, and other miscellaneous electronics to tinker with and repair. As he grew more confident in his skills, he would gut these devices and use them to build machines of his own. At first he built small things like toasters and remote-controlled vehicles, but he quickly graduated to making custom, fully functional phones and computers. His projects became increasingly more complex and ambitious as time went on.

At age 16, Dex began work on his craziest idea yet, Project Rob. Weekends spent reading comics and playing video games had inspired him to create his own suit of powered armor. It would not be cheap, it would not be easy, but he was determined. Taking a job at a fast food restaurant helped pay for the materials he needed. Over the course of two years and many all-nighters (as well as many accidents) in the back yard shed, Dex diligently assembled the suit by hand. When Rob was complete, Dex was absolutely enthused and took it out for a test flight. The result was a panic in the neighborhood and a mass deployment of local police. After a bit of practice out in the desert, Dex took Rob out for another run a few weeks later. Rob's hand thrusters gave out mid-flight and Dex ended up causing about a half million dollars in property damage after careening through several buildings and crashing into a parked minivan.

Dex was immediately apprehended by federal authorities and indicted with a very long list of misdemeanor and felony charges. While in detainment, he was approached by agents representing the PRACC. They gave him an offer: If he agreed to relocate to a classified facility, all charges against him would be dropped, no questions asked. Since his parents were in no position to fight the federal government in court, Dex accepted. After an emotional goodbye, Dex and Rob were relocated to the PRACC's secluded facility for Changed deemed "less public-safe." He has since settled into the facility and spends his spare time making adjustments and modifications to Rob.

Notable personal achievements: Managed to construct a suit of powered armor by himself, using resources he obtained on his own. Also managed to become somewhat of a viral Internet hero due to his exploits.

Goals and Affiliation: While Dex can best be described as an arrogant jerk, he holds no ill will against society as a whole. He does, however, have a beef with the federal government for forcing him to relocate. He has no set goal for his life, other than to experiment and learn. Thanks to his experience using Rob, he has also become a bit of a thrill seeker as well.

Don't worry Compared to Newton everyone is special
But in all seriousness it looks like there?s still a fair bit of diversity among the super intelligent, in terms of powers and set up.

Edit

Also technically ?Has to be written in standard form? beats over two hundred. Well potentially, since standard form could also be a very small number.

*checks date* I think it's still on time? Here's my entry.

Full name: Noah Shelton
Nickname: None that he knows of..
Gender: Male
Age: 25

Appearance: Standing at about 5'10" and 165 pounds Noah considers himself in shape without being one of those 'crazy shake drinkin' folks'. He has dark reddish-brown hair kept short with no real style and a beard trimmed neat and close. He doesn't fool with the latest style and wears his jeans (which range from spotless to falling apart at the knees) with a worn belt and sturdy but comfortable boots. He still owns his steel-toed work boots but since moving to the facility he switched back to his standard black or brown boots. He wears t-shirts with button-up long sleeve over top, and a light brown suede leather coat if its cold outside - though since the Incident Noah has had an above-average resting temperature. If he's going somewhere nice he has a few 'good outfits' and he shines his boots up but that's only on special occasions. He tends to carry loose change, guitar picks, and a matchbox full of toothpicks in his front pockets and his old phone and wallet in his back pockets.

Personality: Noah is a slow talking but quick thinking man with a bit of a Southern drawl. He's rather old-fashioned when it comes to women, he likes to believe that chivalry and honor still exist and giving his word is a serious matter for him. He loves his music, and therefore his guitar, carrying it with him when he can and safely storing it when he cannot. Noah also likes to drink, though not in excess, and enjoys a good meal. He generally enjoys being around people and is comfortable talking or just listening to what folks have to say. Playing music for an audience is another one of his favorite things, even if it's an audience of one. Though not a violent man by nature Noah will insist on settling matters if he feels he's been offended or someone has offended a friend of his. He once settled a fight by arm-wrestling his offender and another fight ended with the other man handing over one hundred dollars and an apology. He was mighty comfortable in his music city and back in his country home town but Noah has gotten used to the facility and likes to roam around. He travels on foot as much as he can, first through necessity and now because he likes the fresh air.

Since gaining his powers Noah is careful not to overindulge in alcohol or anything that could mess with his head so that he doesn't hurt anyone. He also tends to keep his abilities quiet, not wanting to scare anyone or miss an opportunity to share his music. He'd rather be known for his skills as a musician than as a man who can bury a quarter into concrete.

Powers and Capabilities: Energy Manipulation / Kinetic Energy Manipulation, Force Field Generation (Shield), Enhanced Reflexes.

Noah's main ability involves the manipulation of energy. This includes both absorbing potential energy [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Energy_Manipulation] and converting it into / manipulating kinetic energy [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Kinetic_Energy_Manipulation]. He's used his ability to charge small objects like coins, cards, and guitar picks (on accident) and things like baseballs and barstools.

When he's using his ability his hands will glow at the fingertips or wherever he's in contact with the object and his eyes will also glow but not nearly as bright (he hasn't seen this eye-glow himself he only knows what he's been told). The glow is somewhere between red and magenta - Noah prefers to call it 'red' because it's simpler. He can overload objects with energy (charge them) by prolonged physical contact but he can also transfer energy very quickly such as when punching or kicking objects. Clothing does sometimes get in his way, the best transferal is obtained with bare skin contact and to charge an object with a lot of energy takes some time. Dense objects are also more difficult to charge.

Items that Noah charges give off a faint to obvious glow depending on how much energy is used. Coins are his medium of choice because they're less suspicious when traveling and easily accessible. Some objects that he throws explode upon impact with any neutral object. Other items gain incredible speed becoming lethal projectiles [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Projectile_Enhancement]. Noah isn't able to 'charge' any living thing as far as he knows, when in a friendly bar fight he accidentally zapped someone and nothing seemed to happen to the man.

Noah's other abilities include a shield [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Force-Field_Generation] made of the same energy he manipulates. Or so he assumes. This ability is largely passive and the shield is almost invisible until something hits it and then it shimmers like a water in a lake or the air on a hot day with random arcs of that pink-red energy. When producing the shield 'on purpose' Noah can adjust the size to a circle that can include one large person or two small people. He hasn't tested the shield against bullets but it has stopped baseballs from a pitching machine, nails from a nail gun, fire blasts, and a car moving at a legally disputed speed while leaving Noah himself unharmed. Lastly Noah's reflexes which were pretty decent before the Incident have been vastly improved [http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Enhanced_Reflexes].

Background and History: Noah graduated from his small-town high school solidly in the middle of his class grade-wise. But he didn't really care much about school. His garage-started-band Orson's Last Flight received average reviews from the town's acclaimed blogger but was never able to get more than local bookings - most of those with the parents of the band members. With his guitar on his back and a record label in his dreams Noah bid his parents farewell and set out for Nashville, Tennessee because that where 'all good musicians' go.

Though his music has a certain twang from time to time Noah wouldn't call himself a strictly country music fan or player. He enjoys a variety of music and will play whatever sounds good on his guitar. Unfortunately no agents jumped on the demos he mailed out after finding a small, cheap apartment to live in. He was actually banned from two offices for 'excessive contact' and a third told him he had better luck becoming an actor which Noah wasn't sure was an insult or not.

He got to know a few of his neighbors and through one of them landed a job at the local coffee shop / bookstore to pay rent. On weekends and during time off Noah played his guitar at the park. He even earned his own particular 'spot' next to a old oak tree. It was during one of his routine gigs that the Incident occurred. At least that's what Noah found out the next day. All he knew at the time was that he blacked out and woke up in the with his guitar case empty of his earnings and his fingertips glowing a strange color that was not due to nail polish. Noah called a friend to get a ride and while he was waiting the weird glow faded.

That night Noah stayed up late practicing, making sure that his guitar skills were still okay. He was halfway through Amarillo By Morning when his hands lit up again. The glow engulfed to his guitar which he dropped in surprise. As quickly as it appeared the glow faded. The next night the same thing happened, so Noah started playing songs in halves taking a break if he made a mistake. He decided the weird glow was just stress and fixed himself some coffee. His stirring spoon lit up this time. Frustrated, Noah tossed the utensil across the room. It went through his music stand, nicked the table, and ended up buried in the wall at an angle were it shook like a tuning fork. It was the first of many household accidents requiring Noah to do his own repairs.

The coffee shop let Noah go when he spilled a cup of espresso on an important (wealthy) customer. It may have been the fourth cup he'd spilled and he didn't want to explain that he was trying not to send the cup and its contents into the nearest wall or accidentally drop a fork and destroy a table. So Noah took his early dismissal check and went back to job hunting. He spent a few months going from temp agency to classified ad before finding an open spot on a construction crew building some offices down town. The older crew members laughed when he showed up for work with several pieces of protective gear and heavy gloves, but Noah told them he didn't want to damage his hands for fear of losing his ability to play guitar. Which was only half-true. The construction gig lasted five months and was the perfect location for Noah to practice his new found abilities. At night, under the guise of 'needing a place to practice so his neighbors wouldn't file noise complaints, Noah returned to the empty construction site. It was a pretty good system. The traffic was loud enough to cover any noise he made but not enough that anyone tried to sneak onto the site with him to see what he was up to. During one of these practice events Noah accidentally cracked a large piece of wood on the next floor up. He dove for cover, certain that he was going to be crushed and have a horrible tombstone, and was suddenly engulfed in that strange yet familiar glow. The piece of lumber *thunked* against something an inch from his nose and slid to the ground. Noah decided that for his sanity's sake he wouldn't question the 'why's and instead keep focusing on the 'how does it work's. He cleaned up the mess and added 'strange shield' to his exercise list.

The PRACC came without any kind of warning or notice. Noah was on a break, peacefully eating his club sandwich, when a bunch of guys in suits told him he was supposed to come with them. At first he thought he'd finally gotten a break and this was his musical career calling. But no one handed him a contract and they made him leave his sandwich behind for his escort into a nondescript black van. Two hours and no restroom break later Noah was politely but firmly dropped off in a facility where he was told to 'get in line'. He learned in line what had happened to him- how he was one of the Changed and would have to live in a facility with complete strangers for an unknown amount of time. The only good news he received was that he could - and he soon did - get all of his belongings shipped to his new home.

That was a little over a year ago. Noah's boss sent him his last paycheck and the PRACC sent him everything from his apartment - even letting Noah's friend and neighbor supervise the packing because Noah definitely didn't trust them with his gear. His new apartment turned out to have better furniture and almost twice the square footage. Noah even found himself a girlfriend - with a wicked sense of humor to go with her pyrokinesis - within a week of moving in. Unfortunately the relationship only lasted long enough for her to meet one of the bar regulars who she claimed 'understood her better'. Noah suspected it had more to do with his competition's much higher social status and access to the 'best parties'. Sure enough, when he was single again Noah never got any more invites. He still sees Emma, the girl, from time to time. Always with another guy in tow. He's okay with it now and he appreciates that she was the first one to call his powers 'cool'.

Noah's only steady gig at the facility is playing at the bar when they need live entertainment. It's fun, and it passes the time. He's still trying to find some band members to make a more official band. PRACC provided him with some decent recording gear and a computer once he figured out the appropriate channel to go through. When he's not composing or practicing his music Noah goes to the gym to work on improving and fine tuning his abilities. There's a nice target / shooting range where he can work on his aim and play with different materials. If he doesn't know the people in the arena with him Noah tries to make sure he's some distance away or completely alone. Especially when working with really weird objects just in case one of his test materials explodes unexpectedly. Every so often he practices next to a guy with porcupine-like quills and they have a friendly wager match to see who can hit the most targets in a given amount of time. Someone called Noah 'Gambit' once at the range but he thinks it was a case of mistaken identity.

He misses the 'outside world', his friends and his family, and the Grand Ole Opry. Noah sends his mother letters and calls some of his other family members when he can as well. His sister is busy with college so he doesn't hear much from her directly. Recently Noah's been trying to figure out the visitation rules to let one of his family members come and visit one weekend.

Personal Achievements: He was the runner up in his high school's talent show with a song he wrote, composed, and performed. He has one and a half CDs worth of songs recorded and on home-burned CDs that no one but his family and friends have copies of.

Goals and Affiliation: He would like to be a part of an official band or have his own solo career with a real agent and a real recording label. Though he's briefly toyed with self-starting his own label he knows he can't afford it nor does he have the know how to run the business-like parts of it. His mama wants him to find a nice girl and get married (so she can have some grandchildren to spoil) but Noah would rather continue working on his music for at least a few more years before settling down. He isn't really sure what to do with his powers other than make sure he has control over them and isn't going to hurt anyone on accident.

Notes: Noah is ambidextrous but his guitar is built for right-hand-dominant people so that's how he plays.

These are the sheets that I have picked to offer placement for now, all other sheets are still up for consideration to replace anyone who drops out/to possibly join later. Thank you to everyone for submitting a sheet and we'll be starting in a few hours, technical issues delayed me slightly and I need to re-write the opening post.
Feel free to arrange pre-RP stuff with other players until then.

Time powers don't necessarily make things over powered. They can move faster, and slow a limited number of objects down. My guy's arm can stretch out and eat people, there's a giant, someone with almost absolute aim, and a robot with machine gun fingers running about. The power to speed things up and slow them down isn't so overpowered.

This is going to be a ton of fun I can just tell it, we've got a fairly good cast and an amazing premise. That and there won't be a rock so that means this is gonna be a good day.

Any form of time control has the potential to be a gamebreaker, if it isn't already.

I would also like to point out that enhanced accuracy isn't exactly an overpowered ability. There's a difference between landing a perfect hit with something you know how to use and trying something for the first time. My character sticks to her bow, with a couple of exceptions. If she were to pick up a gun, for example, she'd be a poor shot due to lack of experience with it. She can't just grab anything and instantly know how to use it. I'm not that kind of writer.

...Yes, it is really overpowered. unless it doesn't work on his/herself, you can really just pull a knife or something and end a problem before it becomes one. Doesn't work with a gun, unless you speed that sucker up to break the sound barrier. Conversely, slow down an enemy an you can aim and fire, maybe take a few months to do so. And, you know, sidestep all of your powers by slowing them down to almost nothing.

They don't just work with murder either, really. The owner of the power could run away by time stopping everything they come across, or if you have a strong friend, just lock the big bad in a closet.

This is why they stated they can only slow things down by a certain degree. Read before you make a fool out of yourself. They're not STOPPING time, or even making them a slug, they specifically stated they can only slow things down by a small margin. If i really have to be more specific? They're not making an 80mph baseball travel at 2mph, they're making an 80 mph baseball travel at around, say 60 mph. Plus, if it's time stop, none of the damage would be lost. If a time slowed 80 mph baseball hits them, it's still like if they were hit by an 80mph baseball, not a 60mph baseball like if they had actual Motion Manipulation. As for how they speed themselves up? If they run normally at 20 mph, it's like they boosted themselves to 30 or 40, but not actually. they're not actually speeding anything up energy wise, they're just making the occurance happen slower or faster, meaning no energy is lost, therefore all the damage can still be done.

If you have a perch or some building, or frankly, just about anywhere you can hide, you can place an arrow between someone's head, seeing as no one has the durability to not have it go whizzing through their Cerebral cortex. Time slowing or no time slowing, absolute aiming and catching someone unaware means a pretty easy kill of most people. At worst the time powers this person has put forward can slow an arrow of yours... Maybe, if they can react in time, or allow them to move faster and dodge. It's just a fancy way of having better reflexes, except those reflexes stem from time. Think Viewtiful Joe, but not as good as Viewtiful Joe.

At worst the time powers could break the system as ruedyn described.

I have no idea what Viewtiful Joe is, so your analogy is moot.

And who said anything about killing anyone? As far as I see it, this isn't a role-play where the player-characters are a team of heroes out to save the world, or a PvP thread. It looks a lot like a thread where people just live their lives as best they can, in the scenario of being confined to the Changed facility. That was the approach I took when writing my character.

Then what's the problem?

"I have no idea what Viewtiful Joe is, so your analogy is moot."

Did you just denounce his argument because you didn't get the reference? Really? Google it then.

"At worst the time powers could break the system as ruedyn described."

I already told Ruedyn why he's wrong.

He said time powers aren't OP compared to arms that eat people and growing. Buuuut if we are to argue over your powers fine. I got time, unfortunately.

Nobody said anything about velocity and the disrupting of, I merely suggested you can DODGE these things, which would be easier with a slowed down object. I also suggested you can speed yourself up to stab a person, or speed up a bullet. It doesn't need to hit harder, just happen faster, which is still over powered.

And please ignore my avatar, all points are made moot when a sexing bronto is brought into the equation.

You completely disregarded the whole "Margin" thing. The Twins are limited, like i said. They cannot stop time, they cannot bring bullets to a Matrix Slow, where you can duck under them, they probably cannot run faster than a car, they cannot nullify the damage brought on by a bullet or even weaken it, they cannot make themselves hit harder, oh, and there's the fact that they said they can only slow a certain number of objects down, and a very small number at that. Your arguement is basically "OMG, TIEM PWERS, OPOPOPO GODMOD OPOPOP, WHY DID YOU ACCEPT? THE RP IS RUIND". Most of the people in this RP wouldn't even be affected by a stab.

Giant man? He becomes too large for the knife to really affect him more than a mosquito bite.

Super shot? she flies.

Lightning Lad? Electrical Discharge would knock the little pipsqueak out/away.

My character? Nanomachine colony protection.

Pyrokinesis girl? I already know who's going to come out of that worse.

Lizmichi? Got me there.

Lambi? "Energy manipulation" is very versatile. I'm sure an energy suit would be as effective as Kevlar.

Robot? you wanted to STAB a robot?

Crazy Arm? You're going to run at the guy with the Anti Matter arm?

The girl with REAL energy manipulation? She could just make her slow, even with the time manipulation.

Steakheart? He's already got super durability and regeneration, why would he care about being stabbed?
