LOL to the twilight Ref.
But for the topic. You're a PC gamer correct? So go with the console closest to PC. Which would be the 360. I'm not saying the PS3 isn't close, but there are some games where 360 and PC gamers can play with each other. Lost Planet is one of them.

Allow me to give you some sage advice OP, a system is only as good as the games that come out for it...so what you should ask yourself is what games do i really want to play?

If it's games like GTA you're in luck as it's a multi-platform title, but if you also want to play MGS4 then it should obviously be the PS3....if you really want to play Gears of War then it's the 360.

I would say... Xbox 360.

PS3

Free Online
Bluray
More Advanced
Internet Browsing
Home
No RROD
Friendlier

XBOX 360

Cheaper
Better Headset
Party Chat
Private Chat
Messenger
More Accessories
Easier to use

(There probably many more points but im too tired to think of the rest)
The PS3 has blu-tooth headsets, party chat, private chat, and a messenger. @_@
yes the ps3 has all of those, but they dont do it as intuitive as the 360's. For example, if you have 6 friends on, playing completely different single player games, all you need to do is press the guide button, and invite everyone in a couple seconds. The ps3 required everything to be done whilst in the XMB.

It doesn't have in game cross chat though....
I like my PS3, but I like my 360 more for sending messages (and because I know more people who have it).

I own both. And I would have to encourage you to get the PS3. You can't beat a gaming console that has blu-ray and free online gaming. You can pick different themes and wallpapers for your menu layout. No problem seeing what games my friends are currently playing so can easily jump in. Also has private chat and messenger, internet browsing, and just an overall more mature feel to it.

I'm not knocking the Xbox 360, but I just do not like the toon avatar set up and the new menu interfacing. Plus, that horrible red ring of death is still lurking out there. I've read currently it's still plaguing the xbox360 consoles.

My personal opinion is the Xbox 360. I don't really want to go into detail seeing as how I might get bombarded with hate replies and all. But ya, 360 for me.

Xbox by far... cheaper and a larger variety of games. RPGs such as Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery and Oblivion are way better/exclusive on this console. Why someone would dish out so much money on a big, black, hunk of junk when they can go for the more cheaper and more varied option of the Xbox...

COME ONE FANBOYS, TAKE YOUR SHOT.

Ohk lets see...
It really depends which side is nicer.
Are the Xbox fanboys nicers?
or the PS3 fanboys?
xD just kidding
I've had the same problem, but i was recently persuaded the Xbox 360, only because of the price.

xbox 360 all the way, yes you have to pay for xbox live, but from what ive heard from other people the connection is rubbish on the ps3 and the games are very limited for the ps3 also, and this is comming from a hardened ps2 gamer many many years ago, i even managed to get my brother to sell his ps3 once i had bought him a xbox 360, but he still sucks ass at call of duty lol

Indeed. I'm amazed he's not turned up yet.
I think the last time I saw his name he was suspended.
Ah... I see.
To my knowledge that's old news: he was posting on news stuff earlier. It likely has more to do with the fact that this thread is in the Review section.

It completly depends if you are more intrested in online gaming - in which case 360 - or movie watching alongside games in which case PS3.

360 has arguably the best RPG's with Fable II, Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery.
Quoted for turth. Yes, turth: because quoting for truth is too common.

But yep, that's all that needs to be said on the matter really. Oh, and I like Rise of a Ninja: for being a decent Naruto game. (Crazy, but true!)

Neither, they both annoy me. Especially their "fanbases."

PC Gaming shall triumph over all.
No, it's the fanboy-bases that are what's annoying. I'm ashamed to hear that I have the same console as PS3 fanboys.

I'd say go for 360 if you want RPGs and shooters, go to PS3 if you want a mix of LocoRoco, LittleBigPlanet and Unreal Tournament 3
