Does Psychonauts need a sequel? No.
Should it have a sequel anyway? Hell yes!

The possibilities really are endless, considering it's a game all about dreams. As long as they avoid the common sequel trap and continue to make it unique (rather than recycling stuff from the first game) then it could quite easily become better than the first game. Let's be honest, the gameplay in Psychonauts wasn't bad but it wasn't great either and a few tweaks here and there could put Psychonauts 2 on a whole other level.

...but please not another meat circus.

If they make a Psychonauts 2, there is one thing that should definitely be avoided from the first one. This very simple tidbit of advice is, do not make the last level of the game too much a sudden increase in difficulty and please do not make it an escort mission. That is all, I thought Psychonauts was great except for the last level.

Lord knows we're all ready to HAVE a sequel.

Maybe this time it'll get the respect it rightfully deserves.

I'd rather let it remain a cult classic, to be honest, just so that it can stay in that special little space in my heart. However, he could pull it off if he adds an exciting new game mode or something or a new style of gameplay. That is why Portal 2 is going to be so successful - it will add many things on top and not just an extended storyline.

This made my week.

This game needs to be made! Especially after the first one ending with such a sequel hook.

Colour me excited. I am almost finished the original (I think), which I bought earlier this year from GOG. Loving every minute of it!
